Thread: More info on Jedi Visibility...
JustG, or whatever your name is, did you sit down, think about this and thought to yourself, "yea, this is a system that will be fun for everyone involved!"? I mean, come on, this SUCKS.
Can I have the option on my character to -never- PvP, a permanent flag taht goes both ways? I hate PvPing, why does my having a Jedi force me to do this? Bah, I'm not even coherent because I'm so mad, well, not mad. Disapointed. In you, in SOE, in the game. Thanks for a whole lot of nothing, smooth move.

Very Interesting idea. I'm going to have to agree with you on all except the increase in the time on the terms. I'm not so sure I'd want it to be a 2x modifier. Perhaps, a 1.5 modifier. 8 days being on the terms is a long time. What would you do if the Jedi was to kill multiple BHs within this time?

Make it so master bh can only take jedi missions
Make it so once they take the mission they cant group with others or cant take jedi missions if there grouped.
Make it so all visability goes away if the jedi dies.
If jedi kills the bh increase there time on the boards times 2.
Fix the issue with people not dropping off the terms.
Change the payout system (i.e jedi with 50 or fewer skill points = 25k, 50-100 skill points = 50k, jedi with 100-150 points = 100k, 150-200 points =200k, 200+ points 400k)
Also with this payout system incorporate a bh visability to the jedi, so the higher they are the more likely they sense the bh coming

You know, this is the whole reason why people are upset.
This is what the patch notes said:
Jedi should now be able to completely clear their visibility after 3 weeks if they don't do anything else to increase it during this time. Visibility is gained when drawing your lightsaber or using force powers for each NPC or non allied PC within range.
And this is how it actually is:
"Equipping a lightsaber, starting combat with a lightsaber and every Jedi action (powers and lightsaber specials) all have a visibility modifier. Each PC or NPC (non-animal)that observes a Jedi performing one of those actions based on their faction will increase the Jedi's visibility. An opposed faction member will increase visibility by the full amount, an allied faction member will increase it by 1/4 the amount and any neutral will increase it by 1/2 the amount."
This is why people saySOEis lying. Your postscompletely contradict each other. Take this one for exampe: You say non-allied PCs will generate visibility, implying that allied PCs wont. But then you backpedal and say that allied PCs will give you visibility as well. Basically, this shows that you don't have your act together.
BE PROFESSIONAL AND WRITE NON-VAGUE POSTS THE FIRST TIME INSTEAD OF MISLEADING THE PLAYER BASE THROUGH ILL-WORDED STATEMENTS.
YES, these fools got me on the terms today. I have been very carefull until today, and finally went hunting with guild members. I appeared on the terms soon after.Releasing false patch notes should have the terms and visability reset and have the patch notes reflect the corrected info.

The path of the Jedi towards obtaining mastery of the Force is long and arduous, but with great rewards for those who overcome such a challenge. However, even the surest foot may stumble along this path, and for such missteps there are great consequences.
