a thought
did this tripe come out of the correspondants meeting?
multiple xp loss, very long visibility degredation, and then clone loss on top......
soe needs to drug screen employees as they obviously arent capabable of lucid thought let alone game mechanics or code manipulation.

It will allow friendly challenge duels between friends and community without a harsh price. It will allow groups to actually try out some hunting and PvP with their Jedi FRIENDS.As well, we need specifics as to the range of 'sighting' and ideally a /showVisibility command to measure visibility and work any bugs out of the system. There have been far too many reports of jedi just logging in after a long break and immediately on the terminals. Jedi visibility is extremely difficult to test since in testing, jedi suffer death and setbacks. Players want jedi to be less visibile in the game world, and the net effect of /showVisibility is training the Jedi population to do just thatl. Find places in the wild they can train remotely. The punishment for not 'doing the right thing' as a jedi is to be hunted by bounty hunters.Ren

Some good info in that post... Knowing is half the battle. The only thing more I'd want to know is the range for "observation". I don't think that FS skills would count as powers, caus they don't interact with yer Force bar at all rightright? Still, they could and it'd be nice to know whether they did or not. It would probably explain some folks not getting off the termies if the FS defense, spped, and accuracy did generate visibility. Not that I want them to. =/

BAH
This should not have been implemented until you guys rebalenced jedi another half thought out move by the development staff this is redicules.
The whole point of you guystoningthe jedi death penelty down was because you powered us down. Sure we are good against ranged proffessions but what makes me sick is you guys made us suck against the most popular proffessions in the game which is melee mainly TKM which 90% of the players are now. And then you drop bh requirements so that they can pick up a melee proff which even knights can barley beat.
And now you guys make the death penelty around 700k for high level jedi? The only players that come after high level jedi are gank squads. The BH proff now consits of one of these three templates BH/CM, BH/TKM, BH/SWORDSMAN and all there buddys we dont stand a chance against these guys.
Yet you guys say well you gotta hide and level to stay off the terms where exactly are we supposed to to hide and level theres no spawns except around outposts or rancor valley on dathomir and on all the other planets we get crap xp TH said and i quote "The more pc players that are on a planet the less random spawns there are"
And now you tell us that just equiping our sabers gains visibilty? What kind of sense does that make we have 0 defence without that equipped and it takes 5 seconds to equip the saber once your attacked by that time your kd/dizzyed by the gank squad and dead.
If we are losing near 700k xp pear death then our power and defence needs to be upped to a respectable level so we can handle melee gank squads and you guys need to fix the planets so theres actually places to hunt.
What reward is there to jedi? Im 3 boxes away from knight six months after opening my slot and i cant even take on a BH/TKM and cantleave my house unless im buffed what a reward.
No wonder Arjun quit this proffession just gets worse and worse with evey new patch!

Jedi Experience Loss
The path of the Jedi towards obtaining mastery of the Force is long and arduous, but with great rewards for those who overcome such a challenge. However, even the surest foot may stumble along this path, and for such missteps there are great consequences.
What great rewards? All Jedi get is a hideously long grind that results in being less
powerful than a FOTM template stacker. Oh, and the privalage of being griefed all along the way. And after
today, being griefed into an exp hole so deep that one can't grind out of it.
How many account cancellations were there today? How many will there be tomorrow?
Sure, you can delete this post. You can stick your head in the sand and ignore it. But do yourself a favor.
Look at the subscription rate. Is it growing right now? Is it falling off? I'm betting it's falling.
I'm betting that more people are canceling right now, than there are new subscribers. And if I'm right,
then you need to really think about why it is happening.
PS: This is written assuming that SOE wants to keep the game going. If SOE's goal is to destroy the game,
then they are doing exactly the right things to make it happen.
I also remeber something in one of the early Friday features about 'This is the Jedi's time for love, so
everyone else be patient and wait.' I don't remember the exact quote, and I'm feeling too lazy to go find it.
But...
PLEASE STOP LOVING US!!!

JustG and Keldarin-
As much as you guys do for this game, I do believe that you have upset the Jedi population severely with this latest patch. Just to make sure I have everything straight here:
-Running around with robes and lightsabers equipped will get us Visibility if we are seen by players and NPCs.
-Using Lightsaber specials and any Jedi powers gains us Visibility. (This was assumed from before, however, this should only happen if it is noticed by said NPCs and PCs. Healing and specialing while in PvE can cause an enormous amount of Visibility under the new format. This is where I say it needs to be when witness by the NPCs and PCs only.)
-Visibility will be increased by 1 (using the simplest numbers possible) when watched by an opposing faction member, increased by .5 when watched by any neutral, and by .25 when watched by a member of the same faction.
-Bounties are 1k per skill point we have trained in Jedi and FS skills.
-We lose XP equal to 2x the amount of the bounty on our heads. This is added onto any XP we lose by cloning, the 200k we already lose.
I'm sorry but you have seriously messed up an already bad system. We would like to be able to group with guildmates, fellow faction PCs without having the risk of getting on the terminals. PvEing should not cause the same level of Visibility gain that PvPing does. While PvEing there should be a lower modifier on both saber specials and force powers. This will help us be able to level for a longer period of time without getting on the terminals, giving us a higher chance of gaining skills, should the player be smart in their leveling.
While I agree with the staggered payouts for Jedi missions, leave the 200k xp loss per death penalty in place. Even for someone with a middling template this takes 1-2 full buff sets to make up. Its a harsh enough penalty as is. If we will be taking 200k in losses per death and add to that another 200k for me personally, thats roughly 12 hours worth of gameplay to make it up. Something that any melee profession can make up in about 1/4 of the time it would take me. I'm sorry, but thats not worth the risk, during the time it takes me to regrind the XP I just lost, I have the risk of putting myself farther into the hole then I already am. Now under either system we run the risk of putting ourselves farther in the hole, but the 200k per loss city is a much more workable system.
There is still no risk to the BHs in the player bounty system. There needs to be some sort of penalty for them upon failure. Its still nothing more than a few % of decay on their armor. Work on this please.
Look, the point is there are many issues with Jedi that still have not been fixed; I.E. Force Regen Mods on the robes, and you keep creating more problems. You're still taking away from the community aspect of this game. Thats not how this game should be. It is meant to be community based and there is no community in this decision.

JustG, this has to be the single biggest crock of crap I think I've ever read from you. I cannot believe you haven't been fired yet. This game needs some new developer blood. People who are interested in making the game fun and not a second job.

visability needs a overhaul
1) no visability for same faction individuals
2) no visability from neutrals
3) no visability from stoneage fools (i.e mokks, kunga, janta, etc)
4) no visability from people you are grouped with
visability should only be gained from:
1) using saber or powers in front of npc like mercs, nym, opposite faction npc, etc..
2) around players of the opposite faction, or both factions if your neutral
visability needs to go away at a rate similar to the gain(i.e 1/4 a day say or 4 days and off the terms if ya dont gain any visability and have it so in game play is the timer, so people cant say the hell with it dont play4 days and off the terms)
Make it so master bh can only take jedi missions
Make it so once they take the mission they cant group with others or cant take jedi missions if there grouped.
Make it so all visability goes away if the jedi dies.
If jedi kills the bh increase there time on the boards times 2.
Fix the issue with people not dropping off the terms.
Change the payout system (i.e jedi with 50 or fewer skill points = 25k, 50-100 skill points = 50k, jedi with 100-150 points = 100k, 150-200 points =200k, 200+ points 400k)
Also with this payout system incorporate a bh visability to the jedi, so the higher they are the more likely they sense the bh coming

Very Interesting idea. I'm going to have to agree with you on all except the increase in the time on the terms. I'm not so sure I'd want it to be a 2x modifier. Perhaps, a 1.5 modifier. 8 days being on the terms is a long time. What would you do if the Jedi was to kill multiple BHs within this time?

Well then i guess that would be about 99% of the jedi populace now wouldnt it? Jedi shouldnt complain? Well BH should'nt get so personal with thier shrewd remarks just b/c they were too lazy to grind for a jedi. Besides, if all the jedi quit and and the "future" jedi decide it is not worth it, then you will be sitting around twiddling your thumbs wondering what happen. *iss off retard, go troll some other post.

All I ask is that group members and/or same faction members don't generate visibility. Really, that's all I want. I can stay away from NPCs, I can avoid neutral and opposite faction PCs. But the Jedi grind is just far too long to endure the tedium alone.

I went to Rori and Talus tonight for an hour and a half, and at every mission I had an NPC spawn next to it. If I go to Dantooine, there are enough players there to shout the nearest Star Destroyer in for a bombing raid. I think visiblity needs a serious revamp or there won't be any Jedi for BH's to hunt and both professions will go down.
