Thread: Discuss: Current Levels of Negative Jedi XP

1) If anyone replies that they reached master BAN THEM for fight clubbing and being part of the cause of demise of pvp on most servers (and I dont care what tiggs said re it was ok to do it, we all know that was rubbish for starters)
2) If they are silly enough to die over and over from BH's its their issue. The hugely neg peeps got a reprieve to -1mil a while back. Any that are in a hole these days its because they should pay more consideration to neg ex rather than jsut ignore it as it builds up.
You must be a newer jedi so let me explain something to you... you see some of us have been jedi for along time, some of us did not unlock and grind jedi in this easy world that you now live in, some of us actually had to fear ANY kind of death, not just deaths from BHs....

Wow! I never knew -12mil in the hole was possible. Mind you I'm pre-cu Jedi and mastered LS 2 days before cu went live.
If the negative cap remains at -10mil, then the max camp should be +10mil.
Just my thoughts.
Does this really count as "Pre-CU"? LOL. I had MLS, Healer 4000 and Enhancer 0002 when the CU hit and I don't consider myself pre-CU. LOL
On topic, I also agree that the positive cap should equal the negative cap IF XP loss is to continue. Hopefully, the future FRS will be able to balance this need to PvP with the XP loss.

what i want to know is if negative xp will affect you entering the frs

I suspect that XP WILL count in the new FRS since SoE has a way of making everything about jedi more difficult with each successive patch/publish. How many full templates are at the high positive XP levels that might be needed for the new FRS? Oh, it's low enough->/pressNewFRSActivationButton.

How about a negative max of0 and a positive max of infinite. Serioulsy, why not turn off negative xp once someone has alloated all their sp to Jedi? Why make someone regrind -10 mil xp if they need or want to respec. What is the logic begind negative xp once you are done with your template. Take it away for full template Jedi, and maybe more of them would be willing to stand and fight BH. Just a thought.
1. Not all jedi care to or want to put up with 24 7 pvping from bh.
2. Not all people who want to play a jedi want to be forced into special forces like 24 7 pvping.
3. How I like to play should not force other players into anything.
4. How you like to play should not force me into playing a certian way.
5. Jedi in swg are nothing like how powerfull jedi where in the movies.
6. Jedi in the game are not the best at anything really unless they have items that can not drop now days which seams really unfair.
7. Dear dev team do you think its fun to get gang raped by 8 people and loose the time it takes to earn 10 million jedi exp ?
8. This is a game its supposed to be fun !!! why do you think so maney more people are playing wow ? Because nothing rots and at max level you can pvp 24 7 and not loose anything but maby some ego and you earn rewards for being good at pvp.
9. Rewards for the victor would be a lot better then penalties for the looser. !!! People loved the realm vs realm rewards in DAOC.
10. Give the jedi a reason to pvp and to be true to the movies let jedi hunt bh like they hunt us
11. Let jedi who want to become pve only and not be forsed into full time ganking by bh and full time pvp status.
12. In its current state a lot would would like to go jedi dont because of all the things that are forced onto them endless exping endless pvping unless they are in their house , Huge death penalties, and really not more power then other clases.
killing the fun factor of becomming a jedi. Rember over 90 % of online gamers do not like7 forced pvp.
Sure let jedi who want go full pvp .
Sure let jedi hunt bounty hunters like they did in the movies.
Sure let jedi become pve only if they want.
Sure let the game be fun for all types of players its a game if you do you will see a lot more come here.
I dar say the number one appeal to swg is to be a jedi but the way its done now most casual and most online gamers wont stay long enough or put up with the gank squads and forced pvp with such high penalties and no rewards for the forced pvp imposed on them.
31 out of 32 people in my previous PA went to WoW and never came back. The reason they gave? WoW is less like work/more fun than SWG. The entire game is set up to force a player to not enjoy at least some aspect of the game. Maintenance on houses, decay on items, XP loss. What is the point? It's a game, why does it have to be painful (most of us are here to get away from RL, NOT recreate it).
When I wanted to regrind, I put in a ticket to see if I could have it knocked back to -10mil to lessen the grind a little, CSR-PatrickM of Sunrunner told me "No, and quit the game if you dont like it."
So I grinded out the 15 mil, god I love SOE
anybody who is at -10 mil plus exp was a player who did not care if they were killed over and over again, thats why you are there.
so why do you care now?
as for the cap on plus exp being raised to say plus 10 mil, /agree.
atleast all this worthless grinding/tanking would have a little meaning. i, like most jedi, am at plus 4 mil. i really cant do anything with that.
so at plus 10 mil i could occasionally change things around in my template.

Were you a pre-cu jedi? In the FRS? Almost every jedi i know ended up with -10 million xp. Its not hard considering bh deaths + cloning gave roughly -800k xp a go, plus we lost xp just being killed in pvp. Now things are completely diffrent though. Pre-cu you didnt change templates, simply because the grind took so much longer (ok i know a few who did do it). I dont think i could ever hit -10 million post-cu, im at -5 mill xp now (as stated in an earlier post i was at -11 million) and only 1 million of that came from grinding, the rest just from playing the game.

Is this a joke? -10 million XP? I can't believe we put up with this...
What's the problem. That's only 10000 lvl 82 dune banthas. The sad thing is that we willhave full template jedi grinding in AOE groups to remove this negative who will be assisting players to reach the end content much faster.
What does this mean? Paying customers paying for less months. Paying customers getting bored grinding and quiting.
This exponetial level system is also part of the problem. If you are going to let low levels grind with high levels let them get hit like a low level. I remember the days when a dangerous creature could hit you and you might be able to get away. Now a lower level gets hit for insane damage and die before they even get started.
Otherwise you defeat the purpose of the leveling system all together.
There are better ways to punish Jedi for being to open instead of experience (or skill) loss. Lower the regeneration rates for an hour or so, for example (similar to what happens when you use regain conciousness).

I have been at 4 mil capped for over two months. Never been negative, never been off the terms. I have lost to 1 bh and that was when I had 4 Jedi boxes. Since then, every BH has been db'd. I have not played my Jedi in probably 6 weeks because this game is so endlessly boring, lag-filled, and bug-ridden.
I am sick of DWB and NK, and I will not pay 30 bucks to be entertained for a month in lava-land only to become bored again. This account will go into stasis and I am heading for WoW where they know how to keep a game fun, and not make it like a second full-time job.
