You knew you were going to have forced pvp when you started your grind to jedi. You shouldnt have an "option" to make it more challenging or not.

Good grief... read the post already. It's not about forced PvP, it's about lessening the number of Jedi you see visible at the starports, which is one of the big ol' pet peeves of the people without Jedi. And some with Jedi, for that matter. Lord knows I rarely agree with MsNil, but when a bunch of other people have posted that it's an anti PvP thread and MsNil has refuted that mutliple times, it just shows that you have horrible reading and/or comprehension skills, or that you just like to troll.

Bountyhunters is my content and easy pvp rating. I want vis to stay as it is. Why become a Jedi if you whine over the forced pvp?Become a Rifleman/Ranger instead if you wanna be acarebear
I stay off the terminals and if i was unlucky and got too much vis and a bh comes for me i run away. Why? Because i WILL not be forced to pvp. I WILL not be content for someone else that i probably dont like any way. No matter what you precieve jedi to be because i dont precieve it that way and never will and there is nothing anyone will ever say to change that. I pvp when i want and only when i want. Does this mean i cant take part in alot of content with my jedi toon? It kind of does. Why do i not just become a Rifleman/Ranger then? Because to me Star Wars = Jedi and the force not Rifleman/Ranger.

I am in school. Maybe you should go back to school instead of trolling the jedi forums 24/7
Nobody has ever ground out jedi without knowing full well that jedi was pvp.
Thats not true at all. Ive been playing this game from the beginning and i didnt know jedi was all about pvp untill i unlocked. I dont remember reading any where in the game manual that jedi = pvp. Maybe i missed that part in the game manual some where. if any one can show me a quote from any where in the game manual that states that then i will conceed that it was and always has been about pvp.

Ultimately, visibility leads to forced pvp. Think about it.

it doesnt, but then my newest swg copy 2 months old still says that action and mind are attackable, that commandos craft grenades and so on. its pretty obvious jedi means pvp.

Yea I know you do but you are a pvper who doesn't mind forcing that pvp on other players. Those other players don't want it forced on them and they pay the same fees you do and there are more of them.
So you are trying to prevent an exploit that doesn't exist. It isn't an exploit to kill PVE factional targets and not be open to pvp. That is how the game works now. It doesn't work for Jedi like that because Jedi is the last bastion of forced pvp in the game. This idea would make pvp a choice again. You want to avoid it? Stay hidden. But give a player a real option to "stay hidden" Staying hidden cannot mean dont do anything in the game. If it does then you are just saying "cancel"
These are self contridictory. Non-PVP jedi can attack pve bases while I cannot assist them. Now, it is being asked that you can do this without generating visibility too! That's rediculous!Jedi is, and has always, been a primarily pvp profession. This was known by everyone who has ever played a jedi, save the first one or two. Nobody has ever ground out jedi without knowing full well that jedi was pvp. Now they want this changed. Now they want to remove the risks. This is some kind of joke, right? My suggestion was a meeting half-way, a way for jedi to pve npc's without comprimising their invisibility on the terms but limiting it to non-factional. You are rejecting it why?
I certainly did NOT suggest they could attack bases without generating visibilty. I said that bases and static cities SHOULD generate visibilty. I said that making all faction NPCs generate visibilty isn't necessary because farming of PVE GCW targets isn't any different for Jedi than it is for non Jedi characters.
I take issue with the assertion that if I join a group knowing that there are things about their life I don't like that I must remain silent about those things. I have no such restriction. If I like playing a pikeman but I hate a certain special or a certain bug I am going to speak out about it. If the majority doesnt support my issue or the issue can't be changed because it would be game breaking then I can either get used to it or quit but that is a dangerous position for the Devs to take because the number of Jedi who don't like pvp is growing every day. You might be happy with them quitting the game. SOE and LA might have other ideas about that.
i still say sabertef is the way to go to reduce the number of visible jedi.
