Thread: Profession Grinding Tips Consolidated!
For general combat xp I like Sharnaffs.
1) Select a sharnaff (bulls are even better), and do a bleedshot1 and 2 combo (pistol, carbine, or rifle, I prefer rifle because I do this from long range, and it does more damage faster). Then /peace
2) Run out to 100m or so, and when he aggros on you and tries to run you down, keep your distance. He'll soon run out of steam, and you can walk faster than he can move. Re-apply bleeds as needed to get good damage values (makes it go faster)
3) Keep your distance until that one bar is down to 1 point. Then, close to 12 meters and throw one grenade.
One hit, one kill, all combat xp.
/bump
This is invaluable information. Regardless of what you believe in, patterns, no patterns, random, not random, noise, no noise, whatever.
If you truly have to grind through, grinding in an efficient manner is the fastest way
.
Putting this back up front since all the new Holo questions are flowing in.
Two of theprofessions i would offer slightly different advice
1. Smuggler: You want crates of survival knives. They do not use as many resources to create. Also, if you get enough crates of knives you dont need to use molecular clamps. Weapon upgrade kits are only used up on Successful slices. If a slice fails the WUKs are not used. so only thing lost are the knives a charge on the precision tool.
2. Rifleman: You want to take conceal shot first. Conceal shot allows you (currently anyway) to attack a creature without that critter aggro-ing to you. As long as you dont miss a shot y9ou can shoot the critter til dead. use Muon Gold, and you can solo creature after creature, then just /peace out of combat and wait for your mind to regen. DO NOT USE "Take Cover" its bugged and not needed for anything currently.
