If I want to create a macro that runs over night (whilst visions of Krayt Pearls dance in my head) on a loop to build XP, where exactly do I 'leave' my character runing this macro? Do I just set it up near a Gorg Warren and hope that enough foolish creatures wander into my blade's path? I guess I am not understanding how endless streams of creatures are going to come running to their deaths in order for this tactic to work.

Please enlighten me!

There are noob areas that static spawn mobs outside of most starting cities like Mos Eisley, Coronet and Theed. You don't get a lot of XP per kill, but it adds up fast overnight and the mobs just keep on spawning and you'll never have to worry about getting killed. Plus, there are combat macros out there. Not sure, but it's something like this:

/ui action targetself;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
/pause 5; (this will give you brawlers time to get close to the target - adjust as needed)
/attack;
/pause 20; (adjust as needed for tha amount of time it takes you to kill the mobs)
/harvest bone; (or hide or whatever if you want. you can leave this step out)
/sit;
/pause 30; (to heal from any damage you took)
/stand;
/ui action toolbarSlot00; (or whatever spot you want to put the macro in your toolbar)

Thanks for the info. I was interested as to where these noob areas were, but now that you mentioned Mos Eisley, I can picture one in my mind's eye.

OK, this may be a question more suited for the Brawler of Swordsman forums (and I may just post a similar question over there): Yesterday afternoon and once again prior to retiring for the night, I set up my character outside of Mos Eisley with this Brawling Macro (as seen above) and equipped my character with his sword. He was smack dab in the center of the static spawn area. The problem was that both times I checked on the progress he was making (after few hours of being away from the PC), I found that he had basically ran away from the static spawn area, and just kept standing up and sitting down, with no MOBs in sight. Essentially, I think that after the first couple of kills, the macro can't find any MOBs within range, and it goes running off to find some. Does anyone have any proven macros that they have used for the AFK grind for Brawlers/Swordsman?

One way I did it was to use a low level pistol to pull. So I would set up in the spawn area, have the macro equip the pistol and attack to pull, pause for a few seconds, then equip the melee weapon. Only works if you have spawns within a 65 meter radius since you are removing the /follow.

Yes, pretty much. The pause will likely need to be longer. I think I used 20 seconds to make sure I had enough time to pull them in. Also make sure you hit ctrl-shift-s to start the display circling, and that you have Field of View maximized in the display options.

Can someone explain how to gain merchant xp? You get 50 xp whenever someone view your vendor, subject to a 10 minute delay.

You get 50 xp whenever someone pay your access fee. Now, is it the access fee on the house you own or on any house you set up the access fee (eg house you don't own but have admin right to)?

Any other way? I heard using premium auction, but don't have the details on that.

I presume you get xp for vendor being up a certain time. Does anyone know the xp over the time?

tip for the grenades = combat exp:

translates over from the skill in whatever you have equipped .. as a master pistoleer, i get 1 point of combat exp from blowing up a chuba with a grenade when i have a pistol equipped, but if i am unarmed as a novice brawler, i get 114 from said chuba.

best way i've found is to find a good hermit or sentry hermit spider lair (they spit out TONS of critters) and attack the lair unarmed (since i have no skill in unarmed) - while wearing good kinetic protection i wait until i have 6 or 7 aggroing me, then let the grenades fly (kneel to get better accuracy) - i can rake in 3-400 per kill here and it usually only takes 4 grenades to clear a swarm.

If you ever master Combat Medic, don't forget to max out your Combat XP. Although Combat Medic doesn't use Combat XP, it gives it like mad. If you disease something that has say, 10k HP, and even someone else kills it, you're getting 500 combat XP a pop. Kill a small newbie mob creature and you get 70 XP each.

to get surveying, just have your macro do the following

/sample;/pause 5;/stand;/sit;/pause 25;/stand;/ui action toolbarSlotxx

The pop up events won't mess up your sampling the next time you sample.

I find that putting a /pause 2; at the start of the macro gives enough time for the stand animation to go through before the /sample. Without the pause occassionally I get the you cant sample whilst sitting down or that stupid cant sample whilst animating message. Just a slight pause is enough to make sure you dont waste sampling attempts.
