i would have to say that alot of people got jedi, atleast most everyone i know on my server, because to most people Star Wars = Jedi and the force not necessarly because jedi = pvp. Especially now because there are alot better templates for pvp than jedi. If there is a chance for a star wars fan to play a game and work to become a jedi most fans are going to become a jedi wether they like pvp or not and no matter what it takes. In my opinion they should make a new alpha profession for the hard core pvpers. id bet you wouldnt see a population overload of that new alpha profession if it had nothing to do with jedi and if it was solely for the power gaming pvpers.

Now this is what I like to hear. I know I wasn't the only one out there that despises PVP.

Show me another MMORPG, with cool graphics, that has Jedi and doesn't force PVP and I'll be first in line. Until then, you have to deal with me here.

there are more and more of us becoming jedi. about time for the coro to step up and take this to the devs.

pvp'ers are the minority, and jedi is becoming mainstream enough that the uber d00ds are no long the majority there either.

I beg to differ, pvpers are the majority of jedi on any server. The reason you don't see more of them is that they are trying to get better CA's and looking for other loots to help them in pvp. The reason most of the jedi who are opposed to pvp is simply because they don't have the equipment to do well...or lack the skills.

98% of the BH's that you complain about have jedi alts.

my eye. I say we put it to the test and see how many people that unlocked jedi did it soley for pvp. Ill start a survey post just for that purpose.

The direct opposite is true. Forced pvp and a pvp rewarding system is what encouraged most of the current Jedi to become one.

Disable pvp 100% from Jedi, and you will see them drop like flies.

A bit harsh there wouldn't you say MsNil? I love PvP and this is what drove me to become a jedi. Do I trash talk and go showing off my talents all over the galaxy, no. I do frequent the popular PvP spots, but that is the aspect of the game I enjoy. I stay away from the RPers for the most part, and when I do encounter them I RP to the best of my ability in a very respectable manor, usually. I also love the high end PvE, but it would be extremely unrewarding to me to be forced to finally grind out my alt's template just to participate in PvP. No area of the game should be locked to any class of character. If a Master Droid Engineer can go declare his factional standing and fight (even if only to lose) then surely my combat class should be uninhibited in the same way. PvP is like the ultimate combat... You either love it or hate it. PvE is just too predictable, though it too can be a rewarding experience.

disagree 100% I went jedi because i wanted a glowy stick and force fun and the animal mind tricks.For me it made pve more palatable and gave me something else to do after doing it all.

im also going to have to disagree. I went jedi because im a hard core star wars fan and because star wars = the force wich = Jedi.

But as it is, almost everyone wants to have a Jedi... if they don't already have one. And where do you get the idea that you can have a Jedi in a month? You cannot go from glowy to padawan in less than 18 weeks, there's no getting around the village phases. And with XP changes it likely takes closer to 6 months or longer.
