Well I guess we will have to agree that we disagree. Becausepre-cu weapons did not convert as well as the weapons that can be crafted today. Hell, why bother with krayt tissues when 170-180+ Power Cells are dropping from BH missions. How many of your Pre-cu Scatter pistols converted 948 Max Damage / 67 SAC / 1.9 speedwith a 62 accuracy Bonus? Then throw a Power up on it and have it sliced. How can some new Jedi with a 550 max Saber with 30+ fc compete with that??

Edit: Lets not forget about a Sabers best SAC being 94 or 95

I think the question is why do you want a better saber so bad?

Is it so you can beat another Jedi one on one who hasnt get as good a saber as you?, or do you want to be able to beat a non Jedi in a few hits of your saber?

PVP is more about organisation and numbers now, having a better saber isnt going to help you kill a group that is more organised and has a better assortment of skills.

Don't get me wrong, I want better pearls like the next Jedi, but I'm not under the disallusionment that it will make me last longer in pvp againt an enemy that has more numbers and better organisation.

When I started to play I heard rumours around about people being able to hologrind (mostly afk using 3rd party programs)and unlock a Jedi in 2 weeks. That's why there's some players who managed to grind up 2-3 Jedi accounts pre-pub 9.

Well, some might, I grinded 22 proffessions in 5 months. But after post-publish 9, you dont need 3rd party programs at all, you don't need to focus on proffessions, loose your favorite proffession and de-socialise because you are in middle of a weird template that you can't join hunts or parties. You didnt need to sacrifice post-Publish 9. You spend tons of money just to get resources and all..

I would rather like to meet a Jedi who made that muchproffessions in 2 weeks. However, what you are here prooving MsNil is the hate between generations is not one-sided... I was telling about "template completing" in 3-4 weeks. Not unlocking. Now you felt offended because even you thinking "new jedi getting it easier THAN you" and counter striked.

See what I mean?

you find me ONE .. ONE pistol being sold on the trade forums with such a rating .. and i will agree that they are as common as PRE CU sabers .. until you do ... theres is NO WAY you can say those weapons are ready available.. those are extremely rare .. i know i was a master pistoleer for a long time

and even with a pistol like that you wont hit a jedi for more than 400 and will still miss 25% of your hits

it's BS - Yet you PROVE my point in your own post. (Tricks to spawning Krayt, Melee stacker as the tank). Since I don't know your server, you may possibly be correct - What server would that be?

Incidentally, we have no solid information on what "level" Pre-CU Krayt were - We can only take the word of the DEVs. I pesonally think current Krayt ARE easier - But not THAT much easier.

its confirmed they were level 250 .. tiggs even states it in her posts...

and you are forgetting the trick was a sploit ( albeit harmless one) but still a trick none the less ... as in not intended ... not everyone knew about it ...

and yes of course we used melee stackers as tanks .. but the fact still remains they were harder to spawn .. harder to kill .. and dropped less ...

these were my points .. everyone of them true .. everyone of them can be proven by research ...

as to how much easier ... you and i couldnt answer that because we were hunting as vets and experienced players during both times ... to us sure it might not have been hard ...sure we could do it ...we were GOOD AT IT ...

but think of what it would be like for a newb to confront both situations ( i still consider most jedi noobs im sorry they spend all their time AFK grinding or grinding PVE non afk but never learn high end game mechanics)

a newb would have said flat out .. " krayts are easier now and drop way more and spawn way more ...

all three of those things adding up ..

1: easier to kill

2: spawn more and easier

3: drop more

that = more pearls .. =greater chance of finding the better ones within the group

"Researching" what Tiggs or any Dev says proves nothing. They've "said" Smugglers would get a revamp for 2 year and counting. They've "said" the CU was about "Balance", and there's hardly any true balance in this game. They've "said" Premium Pearls not dropping was a bug, and turned around and "said" that it was intentional.

Maybe they run by the "certain point of view" method, but *I* call a liar a liar - So how do we know which things they "saif" are the truth or just another lie?

I do not believe they are THAT noobish. Pre-CU you had to run through maybe 20-30 PREMIUMS to get a good saber, and the first thing I learned was that even Quality pearls where not worth the inventory space, so people made their alt's into krayt/nightsisterkillers and farmed premiums/flawlesslike crazy.Come on, everybody know this.

There's a real reason they dont want the rest to have access to what they have.

Fear...

A lack of trust in their own capabilities.

When they lose their better-equipment handicap all their comments about them being a "skilled pvp player" would be handed to them by players who really have the skill.

They do not know if it's thanks to them or their saber they win fights, so they know thatif everybody player have an equal chance, they fear they will start to lose... alot... and quickly drop back into being a nobody. And that can drive many players to sacrifice their credibility as an old-timer and make absurd claims like "Sure you can tune a good tune with a Good pearl" on the forum (which is like saying things like "Sure there are force-boosting food" or "My friend saw this holorecording and died after 7 days" or make up other kinds of insane urban legends that speak directly against all knowledge, the official F.A.Q's, and all common sense).

Also many of theese players know they have a golden ticket to the top right now, and they want that free ride once the FRS is re-enabled.

Many of theese players have taken every advantage they ever could to reach the top, and you better believe it, everything to using the best and most extreme grindtactics and flightclubs. And now they are accusing everybody else, becouse somewhere inside they feel ashamed.

Do anybody actually believe someone can grind a Jedi in 2 weeks? Are you REALLY that stupid to believe that crap? Or are you just trying to convince yourself that you are better becouse all the shortcuts you took was "better" and more "honorable"?

I have always said the best way to cut down the Jedi population is to look for Selfish posts on the forum. A true Jedi should not be selfish or greedy. Boot thoose and we improve our genepool, erase alot of childish attitudes and also improve our reputation amongst non-jedi.

And it also cut short some urban legends that dumbs down the community.

Anyway: Next time you see someone claiming "I have a perfect saber, go tune "good" ones", remember that he will be the first one put against the wall when the premiums start to drop again - and they know it.

Actually Ms.Nil. I got a nearperfect tune off a quality pearl pre CU. It was a 35 damage, -9FC ans -2 speed. After the CU conversion it's a 120 damage, -9 FC -1.8 speed pearl.

It CAN happen, what tiggs said was true. you CAN get the very good tunes off the lower grade pearls. It's just harder. THat's why I bought the Luck FS skill.

yes well it sold for 6 mill ... and on our server those are a lot rarer ... i suspect this was the only one around for a long time ..this post itself is a month old ...but ill concede the fact you found one ... hehe

but they are still a lot rarer then perfect sabers ... and still do less damage ... ( 948 is cap btw)

1, 2 and 3 - Let's stipulate these as truth - But they do NOT drop More Pearls, they drop more general Loot. On our last hunt, 10 krays killed yielded

  • 1 Pearl

  • 3 Empty

  • 2AS components

  • 4 Krayt tissues.

The best tissue by the way was a stack of 4 +187 damage. The pearl tuned to +49 0.1 -1.

The Tissues were MUCH better.

if i hear some of our other 'older' jedi players i tend to agree 100%. They go so far to say all jedi except them do not deserve better pearls/crystals as they have, its a joke and we are debatting each day.

Iam for fairness to all (equipmentwise)and against the current fotm situtation. The good should seperate from the bad through players skill, not template decisions or this equipment mess!

(iam long done with my template, though doesnt have a perfect saber, but my post cu crafted (and 0.2 speed slower then a decent pre cu onewhile 12pts used) saber is decent in stats)
