If all the new Jedi had actually planned their progress the way the old ones had to you would already have your pearls. The problem is that tons of people went from having six open FS lines to finished template in an amazingly short period due to Respecs and High XP groups. Once they finished though they realized that unlocking and grinding XP were only part of the reason Jedi is a tough profession. They found that being hunted and needing to have a good saber were also part of the devs grand plan for making Jedi "hard".

A saber with 4 +120 dmg pearls is an extremely rare weapon. While you like to act like everyone who finished Jedi pre CU has one, the truth is only the hardest core players have one. They earned theirs by tuning 200 - 500 pearls pearls, and had to kill thousands of dragons or buy the pearls with credits they spent thousands of hours earning. Now you want to have one after tuning just 20 or so pearls.

The older Jedi do not fear competition from the new Jedi, they want you to earn your saber like they had to.

You need to stop pretending that other Jedi fear you or want to keep you down and just face the fact that you have chosen a very ineffective template. That is why you die in pvp so fast, that and the fact that you have killed so few dragons that you do not warrant having a saber any better than yours currently is.

you did spur a thought though within me .... a lotof the new jedi dont realize how hard it was to hunt krayts PRE CU .. it took an hour just to spawn one .. now at any given time you have 30 krayts hanging around the graveyard and outlying regions .... plus they are a LOT easier to kill ...if it IS possible for "good" pearls to tune almost as well as premiums ( given the %'s of these are probably EXTREMELY LOW) .. the unavailability doesnt seem to be as much as a hmm whats the word ... injustice ! to new jedi as they claim it to be ..

i am an avid krayt hunter been hunting them for a year .. i have gotten hoards of pearls and sold most of them ... and two days ago i did sell a pearl which tuned to 90 something damage and like -8 FC ... and a friend told me last night he tuned one to 100 damage -8fc .. not bad at all

I have had my jedi for just over a year and a half now, and am still grinding xp on him. I think I hav changed templates about 8 times, not including the respec period. The truth is that it is possible to grind a complete template in 2 weeks, but this requires grinding for numerous hours a day, which from experience, not every jedi is going to want to do. As far as the crystal/pearl situation goes, yes my saber is about as good as I am going to get it and I do think that premiums should be dropping. With some of the stats I have seen in groupchat while grinding I know this is a problem that definitely needs to be fixed ASAP.

but heres the deal ... you cant give out (Nobody is asking that they place Blue Frogs at the Jedi shrines that sh!t out Premium and Flawless Pearls) those premiums to all jedi ... jedi as of now are too powerful .. and most players as of now are only interested in becoming jedi ...

now im not asking for jedi nerfs ... i think nerfing on both ends has to stop ... but heres the thing, you cant let more prem. pearls drop cuz all jedi would be uber (no...Pre-cu and Post-Cu Jedi would then be at least somewhat equal.... Jedi is the ONLYprofession that is dividedin weapon quality and availabilityof weapon components....All riflemen / BH /Carbineer / Pistoleer have easy acess to full cappedweapons and it is as simple as /tell weaponsmith I want a fully cappedX weapon.) .. and yet you cant let jedi witout prem pearls be slaughtered by jedi with them ... so whats the fix?

the only feasable thing i can see is to bring down all pearls to the max damage of 100 and nerf all pre CU sabers in this fashion ...

im sure everyone will disagree .. but im being honest thats the only feasable route to take ... if you push for premiums you will get nerfed .. trust me on this jedi ..

To be honest, I felt same thing about Post-Publish 9 Jedi when seeing how easy they get Jedi without leaving their proffessions, how easy they have with lightsaber damage and don't need to rebuild whole their saber from scratch to improve it and all.

However, by time, I can see how childish behaviour I was in, no I'm not saying they were getting it harder, I was seeing freak powergamers completing their template in 3-4 weeks time (yes, PRE-CU!) but game surely had changed so I adapted and now finding it so funny pre-cu jedi agroes on post-cu jedi forgetting their past.

We are Jedi, whatever our current situations are we are all equally effected on changes.

you people have to learn to look into the future .. not just the here and now

Quite the contrary, my pikeman/doc/tk can handle just about every jedi template. Regular professions can and do have everything they need to dispatch jedi. Jedi are supposed to be able to handle regular professions not cower in fear of the doc or combat medic. Armor Break sliced recon armor and medic x/x/4/x is all you need right now to defend against a jedi, and that is really sad

People will go jedi regardless; making and keeping jedi weak will not help any.

i dont know i havent played a melee since the before the CU .. ( pre cu i was a stacker .. fencer TKM and swords with master brawler )but when i got back i was warned they sucked .. and decided to go ranged ...so i dont have the experience to really agree or disagree with you in respect to a TKM/DOC or PIKEMAN/DOC

but as a ranged proffession let me tell you even with an uber weapon and CM .. its extremely difficult to fight a full template jedi ....our damage is really ripped apart with jedi buffs and defences ..im not complaining .. but i do find solice in the fact not all jedi have perfect sabers .. if they did my job would be even harder ... and let me tell you its VERY hard now .. if you dont believe me go BH for a month and see.. you will look at the whole situation differently.. BH is NOT a walk in the park its the hardest proffession hands down in terms of our end game content ....

i just cant see the devs giving out premiums and not nerfing MLS .. im not ASKING for an MLS nerf .. i just think the two will come hand in hand ... so be careful what you jedi ask for ...

Idid havea BH never hunted jedi but dueled them off and on.I decided to go back to my pre-cu pikeman roots because it was the most fun I had ever had in this game. I could handle Master Force Powers jedi. I could handle Master Defender jedi. Seriously Set yourself up with armor break sliced armor and a damage capped, SAC poweruped weapon, and root knockdown blast away, then laugh as you easily heal away the damage you take.

Killing jedi is not half as hard as you make it out to be.

If it wasn't for regular professions' accessto armor break protection I'd probably agree with you.

So tell me - Were "new jedi" given advance notice that the Pearl situation would be coming? Fact of the matter is, you are saying people should have planned in advance for something NOBODY knew was coming.

A saber with 4 +120 dmg pearls is an extremely rare weapon. While you like to act like everyone who finished Jedi pre CU has one, the truth is only the hardest core players have one. Actually, we wouldn't MIND killing thousands of Krayt, and tuning 200-500 of these now non-existent pearls. We however CAN'T, because they DON'T exist any longer.

The older Jedi do not fear competition from the new Jedi, they want you to earn your saber like they had to.

I'm more than happy to begin "earning". Tell me, where can I start killing the Krayt that drop these, so I can take the same amount of time and effort you did.

Oh wait - I can't - They don't exist.

You need to stop pretending that other Jedi fear you or want to keep you down and just face the fact that you have chosen a very ineffective template. That is why you die in pvp so fast, that and the fact that you have killed so few dragons that you do not warrant having a saber any better than yours currently is.

No matter if I kill 100 times the amount of Krayt you did - I can't get the pearls that are no longer dropping. I would gladly kill "thousands" of Krayt to get the "200-500" pearls as you did.

I can't, because they don't exist. And since they don't, I CAN'T have a better saber than I currently do.

Get it yet?

Then whoever you hunted Krayt with was inefficient. Pre-Cu, many nights my guild was able to find multiple Krayt with minimal effort. Just took KNOWING the rough spawn area, and having Rangers.

After we found them, they didn't take long to kill with the right weapons and professions. It was amazing what a good TKM/Swordsman with a Legendary Hammer could do as long as someone kept him healed...

Hunting Krayt wasn't all that hard for some - This is yet just another myth.

i do have armor break caps 75%.. and no i cant heal away i do have mind costs .. my PVP rating by hunting jedi aloneis 1400 and was very hard to work for...im a post pub 20 BH for the most part ...... but i also run a bounty hunter guild with 80 members ... so i have first hand knowledge of the ratio between which can beat a full temp and which cannot .. and let me tell you the sucessfull hunters are way below 50% ...and within their hunting they only seem to win 50% of the time if that ...

if BH were easier i suspect you would have kept it ...

but im not making a "nerf jedi post" im really not i have never done that .. this is in regards to pearls ...i suspect your take is to let them drop .. my take is to make them all post CU ...

but lets entertain your vision for a second .. if letting the PRE CU pearl values drop as they once did was feasable why havent the devs allowed it? do you honestly think jedi can run around with perfect sabers and that they wont get nerfed if they do?

my point about hunting jedi being hard wasnt to accent a nerf request .. im just saying ... i think things are balanced right now ... if more jedi had perfect sabers i honestly think youd be looking at possible nerfs again ... and i think thats the MAIN REASON they were turned off .. in fACT .. TIGGS states that as trhe main reason they were turned off

This is a good point, every step of the way they seem to make Jedi easier and easier to appease the masses of new Jedi that want it all now. The only thing I fear from each new wave of Jedi is further nerfs to the profession because the new Jedi want it to be as easy as a regular profession.

The aquisition of pearls was intended to be dificult. It was yet another of the barriers the Devs set on your path to make being a Jedi harder than a regular profession. I am tired of every new batch of Jedi asking for nerfs to older Jedi simply because they lack the patience or determination to achieve what those before them had to.

When I started to play I heard rumours around about people being able to hologrind (mostly afk using 3rd party programs)and unlock a Jedi in 2 weeks. That's why there's some players who managed to grind up 2-3 Jedi accounts pre-pub 9.

thats BS ... cuz i was there .. maybe on your server not ours .. i was there the countless nights .. watching the guilds drive over the sand dunes hoping to spawn them .. why dont you scroll back in forums posts and read about krayt concerns and how rare they were at one point .. there used to be GUIDES posted on where to find them and how to spawn them .... now all you have to do is drive out there and you have hundreds ....dont be confused by my forum registration ... i was playing long before that

and if you remember we had to use tricks to spawn mutliple krayts ... like draggin them out 200 meters past their spawn spot before killing them so when we went back another would spawn and it wouldnt reset the timer on the spawn ...and not only that they were 50 times harder to kill ... level 250 .. compared to level what 94 now?

jedi now have no problem tanking them and killing them solo .. back then i even remember jedi asking me for help ... ( was a melee stacker with the best melee defense possible )

and for mostit took a group to kill them back then .. even against a juvie it wasnt uncommon to see a group of three attacking it

MsNil wrote - That's just sooo pre-cu. Did you eBay?
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

MsNil you have always approched your "Forum Crusades" with a little too much "Drama" for my personal taste, but I respect the time and testing you put into your posts. However of late you have kept the "Drama" method and dropped all of the "Time and Testing" in your posts.

I have read too many posts, and spoken to too many people saying that they have had very nice tunes of good crystals and pearls since the CU to buy in to your defeatist attitude.

Tiggs has already said that there will be premiums again. The change is coming whether you post or not. Rather than trying to minimalize the efforts of the older Jedi, or worse yet crusading a nerf to the over all power of the Jedi profession, you need to get out there and loot these components and stop wasting time here making false accusations over older Jedi fearing the newer ones.

No I did not Ebay. I mastered 30 professions ATK (musician was afk), I earned 37 million Jedi XP pre CU, and 13 mil Jedi xp Post CU for template changes. I also killed thousands of dragons and tuned nearly 500 crystals and pearsl.

If anyone is being lazy about improving their Jedi it is you. How many dragons could you have killed in the time you have spent trolling this forum with your wild accusations?
