If the snare starts after you cloak you have already escaped, unless you cannot channel while cloaked after nerf. Aggroing your way to necrosis isn't how it's suppose to work, creatures/npc's should not acknowledge the existense of a cloaker.

well, i don't think they should aggro either, but i'm just pointing that out to all the people that say it can be used to bypass the difficulty of dungeons, when really FR can do the same thing. and i think the universal cooldown after cloak would do more to stop it being used for escapes than the snare. non combat actions breaking cloak negates it's first strike component, if you can't force speed or force armor or any other force actions that only effect you while cloaked, then having it as a skill will be utterly pointless.

So far, the only command we have in the can-use list for the new hiding/stealth sub-system (of which ForceCloak is now a part of) is the Rifleman ConcealShot. Everything else combat-related (including heals) tends to break you out, at the moment.

Bac, we need to know if we will be able to channel force while cloaked, if not then they are screwing us over royaly

A rifleman can shot u and stay covered but a jedi using his power to cloud your mind cant do anything what a freakin joke...people start whinning about a power jedi have and your anwser is nerf it what the heck man...Give us a dang break....Jedi are the elite not to be classed with rifleman or rangers ...this is just sad...im rally starting to hate this came...
Woot!
I love this! About frigg'n time /cloak gets fixed to prevent player abuse.
This is a great concept to allow for 'hiding' to "work as intended"!

Is there ANY skill they haven't nerfed into oblivion?
I really wonder when the time comes when Stasis gives only "snare" effect...

ok...here is the thing...what are the odds of this stuff actually working properly?

Im irratated for a lot of reason's about this and may "changes" they have made to this and many other professions since the CU went live:
- When it goes live it should stay as it is because people have become used to relying on these skills as a larger picture in regard to their templates, for example i choose my template because im not a pvp player and cloak was going to be my way of avoiding getting attacked. Now since it is being changed so its only useful in hit and run strikes with the snare my template i need to change AGAIN im not a dabbler im someone who masters a profession and atm im powers 4423 and im dropping all powers to take defender because this gives me a better chance of taking damage whilst i escape.
- This is a failing on behalf of the development team due to lack of testing these skills in the first place and allowing them to go into live unfinished thus resulting in changes which interfers with templates, especialy jedi templates which take so long to level in.
- Not to mention that this has destroyed an already crippled jedi sub-profession leaving no reason to make any movements in it.
- Im a jedi who often complains about alot of jedi players but i think jedi deserve to be upset they are being messed around and ill treated because of mistakes being made during the development process and then not ironed out due to lack of any reasonable testing before hitting live
1. hit and run tactics were why FR 2 and 3 were nerfed.
2. look at the dev track record. jedi nerfs near infinity as jedi rewards and power approach novice brawler.
3. its hard to destroy something so fundamentally broken, but this game and playerbase never ceases to amaze me at the new lows they will sink to with regards to this
profession.
/begin sarcasm
4. mistakes. they don't make mistakes, they merely enforce what Lucas envisioned a jedi to be and what a jedi is in the star wars universe. . come now... publishes give us new content each and every time. i for one love the new cloak and pickpocket ability that rogues are getting. sign me up for that i can run around invisible and pick peoples pockets and steal money and items from them. ooh....oh wait i can harvest no better than a scout... bah that meat goes rotten and the hide begins to stinkin a couple minutes anyhow...besides we have no idea what changes dancer will hae in the near future. perhaps itsa triple somersault split, enrapture and root audience performance special that causes all those watching to immediatley commit suicide.
/end sarcasm.

I think the same rule shouldapply for that Rifleman Cover. Why place that rule on Jedi Cloaking when MRM won't lose their cover when somebody heals them, or stands near them, or they heal themselves. If your going to stay cloaked whether your a Jedi or RM, the point is to stay hidden and retaliate by surprising your victims with a barrage of attacks. Like the little unsuspectingsnake that comes out of a hole in the ground and gets eaten by the bigger King Cobrasnake hiding somewhere near by. It's all about the element of surprise, and using that advantage in favor of your survival.
The SWG Devs should stop favoring one profession, and stopmaking themore lovedprofession gain from the less-loving professions lossbecause it makesthe Devslook like a bunch of profession-favoring hogs. First they favored the BHs, than they favored Jedis, now they Favored Squad Leaders--who's next???? Favoring only one of two professions is wrong. On the other hand, favoring two professions out of two is much better. Nerf for the better of the game. Don't nerf because your a hater and you want to make a profession weaker than all the others.
