Maybe the force will be with the moderator, and they'll delete this entire thread. Seems like a whining cocky little baby complaining on the threads would be frowned upon.

Forceismypath, you need to suck it up. You don't hear many other Jedi whining. The profession wasn't meant to be easy, and the more whining you do, the more people dislike you. I bet the more people dislike you, the more people will help thebounty hunters find and kill you.Maybeyou shouldn't whine about every little thing? Just a suggestion.
This is called balance.
This is the price that comes with the huge potential power of the jedi. If you were looking at the force slot as a god mode then guess again, its a tougher way to play.
Should you survive long enough to gain any level of accomplishment as a jedi you will be able to do things far beyond the abilities of other player professions but the price you pay for that power is that you will be hunted, that flaunting your power will put you in mortal danger and that you will spend your characters life as a fugitive.
You chose the path, now learn to live with the consequences of your choice.

no... right now flaunting your powers is not any different than USING your powers.
Tell me someting. If you had just gotten... Bounty Hunter (trying to conceal you ability), and started working your way up the lines, and getting new skills only to find that NO MATTER WHAT if you used your new skills your identity would be passed out to everyone who wanted it, would you be happy about it? Its not like we can go out in the middle of nowhere and use our skills to train... even going into the middle of nowhere where no one is and using your skills lets EVERY BOUNTY HUNTER KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! Thats simply stupid.
The entire jedi profession is stuck at simply hitting the attack button and waiting. Would you be happy if thats all you could do? Or would you come to the boards to tell the DEVs that there is something seriously wrong? Because there is.
Sure the number of Jedi is still low (and hopefully will STAY low) but that doesnt make it unimportant. We have just as much right to want our profession fixed as you want to have yours fixed. So quit telling the Jedi who want the PROBLEMS fixed to shut up, and stop calling them whiners... because if you havent PLAYED THE CLASS how can you know they are wrong or lying?
Perhaps all you non jedi should stop being so selfish and let the poeple who KNOW what the problems are try and get them fixed. Because 90% of the people here are trying to GET to Jedi... and yet none of you want the first ones to get the problems taken care of so you dont have to deal with them? Thats f'ing stupid, and all of you telling the Jedi trying to get these problems fixed to shut up are selfish bastards.
Nobody said it was going to be easy for jedi, in fact the contrary was stated. The sad fact is that people chose not pay any attention to this and just looked at how powerful they could be.
Also, I didn't say that jedi don't have their problems, all professions do and the jedi is likely to have more as it wasn't tested fully.
And so what if every bounty hunter with Investigation 3 or above knows your name? Knowing who you are doesn't automatically mean they know where you are, tracking droids can't be used on jedi bounties so the best methods a BH can use to locate you is to ask around, in which case word will probably get back to you if you've chosen your allies wisely, or use of educated guesswork or just out and out guile.
I agree that the saber TEF should be dependant on the proximity of aligned PCs and NPCs but this is the stated intent of SOE.
Jedi left unchecked are game-breaking, this is why these systems are in place.
How about stop whining? Just take the challenge!
Even BEFORE the release of SWG, the Jedi FAQs said:
*) Jedis will only have a limited number of deaths
*) Jedis can be attacked for a few minutes when they use force-powers or their sabers
*) The Jedi-Profession will bethe HARDEST of all!
Everyone agreed with those things, because they should make the Jedi-Profession more challenging than Artisan, Carbineer, BH....
Andnow? All Jedis do is whining and complaining!
So let me list thewishes posted here, in other forums, and ingame by Jedis:
1.) You want to see Permadeath removed
2.) You want to hunt down Krayts as an Initiate
3.) You want a special "natural Armor"
4.) You want special Jedi-style Armor - stronger than every other Armor around
5.) You want your Lightsabers to do a special kind of damage, that nothing can resist
6.) You want to seeTeras Kasi nerfed, because they would be a match for you
7.) You want to see BHs nerfed, because they are a risk for you
8.) You want an exclusive Jedi-only-Forum
9.) You want to see the TEF removed
10.) You want a better Radar than every other Player
11.) You want and exclusive Jedi-only-Planet, with own cantinas etc.
12.) You want perfect Terrain Negotiation
13.) You want a perfect Saberblock, that blocks EVERYTHING
14.) You want to get Jedi XP easier
15.) You want Jedi-only-Clothes
16.) You want to have the freedom, to learn additional Professions with your Jedi-Char
17.) You want the ability to become invisible at any Time
18.) You want the ability to hide your Name whenever you want, so that you can showboat your skills without receiving tells
19.) You want easier Way to build Lightsabers
20.) You want special Defense
21.) You want additional Protection-Skills
22.) You want additional Options in PVP
23.) You want to be able to build houses
24.) You want additional skills, that help you to survive a risky fight
25.) You want special Protection in Cities
26.) You want, that no BH-Missions can spawn up on you
27.) You want to wield 2 Lightsabers
28.) You want special-Access to Jedi-only-Buildings in the Cities
29.) You want general Protection against: Dizzy, Bleeding, Stunned, etc. etc.
30.) You want the ability to tame, keep and handlestrong pets as a Jedi
31.) You wanta Death in PVP doesn't count
32.) You want special loot-options after beating someone in PvP
33.) You want hidden "Jedi-Mission-Terminals" to get well payed missions
34.) You want special Loots, only Jedis can get
35.) You want to make the Krayt Pearls "Jedi-only-items"
Jedis came into the towns...came into cantinas and starports, just to impress anyone with their l33t-skills. For DAYS they didn't do something other than this. Now they do nothing but whining. You travelled from cantina cantina and starport to starport like entertainers, making a show, and now you aren't willing to handle the risks. What about the "big challenge" of being a Jedi? Nothing left of it? Now it seems more, that you want some kind of "god mode", that allows you to showboat your skills, and that gives you a 100%-Winning-warranty. No one said it would be an afternoon-walk to master this profession, and like said in the FAQ - even before they game was released - It's hard to become a Jedi, but the hardest thing is to stay alive as a Jedi! So take the challenge you got with your FSC, or let it be! But stop whining around 100 times a day
Its obvious coreck that you have no idea what you are talking about.
While some Jedi may want to be "uber" and have all of those ideas you pointed to, I simply want to have a fighting chance.
The class is reduced to simply blindly swinging a glowing stick right now.
If we do anything more than that 50 BHs jump down our throats. Not only do these BHs stand a better chance at winning (which is okay beacuse Jedi is still new) but if they lose, how do they get hurt? They dont, they just take the mission again and try again. If the Jedi loses he stands a very high risk of not only losing his skills, but his money, his items, his experience.
I dont want to have the scales tipped on my side, I want them to be even. If someone is going to possibly destroy someone elses hard work, they should stand to lose somethig more than 1%decayon thier items. They have nothing to lose, we have everything.

I believe there actually is a mechanism in place to stop this. Something to do with not being able to take another jedi bounty for a certain period of time after failing or succeeding a previous one? Don't quote me but I believe this is how it works.

But they didn't make them super powerful. The system is working as intended. Jedi are suppose to be rare. Therefore the odds are against them. Devs never said it was going to be a fair fight. Just like a Jedi Knight versus a single normal player won't be a fair fight. It was never intended to be.
