This is easy to avoid. Wait until the first wave is abotu half dead, then pop ur attack. Also, if ur MPowers, start with the Area Intimidate, then area KD, then Lightning...your tank will love ya..

You're not wrong there

I logged on yesteday and in less than 10 seconds I received a message from a MLS friend who wanted me in their group. MPowers may be weak in any normal situation, but they are a spin groups best friend.

hehe, The Spin group I am in now is fairly consistent. We have 3 or 4 Jedi, one being my lady friend. She is only cl69 I think and that is with some TK.. But I hardly ever have any downtime. But in the groups I used to tanka while ago, one MP behind me...and the others inthe group werein heaven. I rarely took much more dmg than Infusion could handle due to the Int, KD, and lightning Area Dmg..

To me, anyone who can be lucky enough to find a MDef who knowstheir job, and a MP who knowstheir job, will be incredibly happy, and will not leave the group for nigh on nothing..

/bow tomysibling of MP persuation.

This is what people are arguing about? Who cares one way or the other. This game is so dead that stuff like this really has nothing to do with anything...

I currently host many spin groups, I am full template but enjoy helping others reach their goals.

If you play on Corbantis send Proator a in game /tell between 8pm and 12am est.

And no i will not invite anyone below lvl 60. Spin groups require that all do their job. If you are lvl 54 MDoc and plan on healing then you are welcome.

Spin or not to spin depending on CL and group mix the spin or culling of a mob requires skill. I have done both as jedi and normal template. The tedious groups are usually filled with inexperienced players regardless of CL. AoE groups I have been in are the most fun and challenging. The last toon I leveled got master pistoleer in 4 days, from a combination of culling mobs , hunting for hide, and spinning.

As for the game dynamics, we are presented with choices and opportunities. Those of us who choose wisely advance quickly. Those who choose to casually play advance casually. Those who insist or believe that one method has more or less merit than the other have a myopic view of how the game works. It is obvious to me that one would choose to play as they so please, by seeking out like minded players who can amass their CL and skill to achieve the optimum amount of experience in the shortest amount of time.

Personally, I have pursued the hunt/spin, or however you want to refer to it solo, paired, and with any number of participants to full groups. I guess it just depends on what you want to hunt, or what you want to achieve. In the final analysis, taking my approach one thing is for sure...XP HAPPENS.

Whatever, the only way to make spin group efficient is to have good players.

I'm just pointing a fact : a lot of players heard that spin groups where the fastest way to make xp... Maybe, i still don't trust that....
But the only point to make fast xp is to group with people that KNOW how to make fast xp, whatever kill technique is used

And another point : xp is not an end. Only fun is.
Spin group != fun

Grinding != fun either, but that's what people have to do to level their toons.

When you're done grinding, and you can explore the galaxy with some reassurance that you're not going to get deaded at the drop of a durni's whiskers, that's the time to start having fun. Most of the people complaining about "lack of content" are those who've finished grinding and are left with nothing to do butspelunker in the same old caves and bunkers. Nearly everyone else is either a non-combat-type, or done grinding.

Hunting can be fun when it's used for the purpose of having a group activity. One guild I belonged to used to have weekly hunts to gather creature resources for the crafters, and split mission payouts to fund the town. It was fun and helped foster the guild.

But casual "grinding" like that is how I eneded up taking so long to get to this point, when I could've been done Jedi grinding months before the CU hit. I don't want to spend another 2 years or more finishingthis grind. It's not called a "grind" because it's fun, ya know.

I don't normally resort to ad hominem attacks, but you really are a mean-spirited little nerf monkey, aren't you?

Do you sit at home alone at night, gleefully rubbing your hands together anticipating how wonderful it will be when all your devious little schemes come to fruition?

You really take the cake.

Spin group : yeah, continue to make those group and think you make faster xp

Yesterday evening, i made a group with 4 friend to hunt some bones on naboo.
Before i even realized what was happening, i was capping rifle xp. And we took our time....

All "spin groups" i joined were not that effective because jedis always needed to rest a bit to restore force (spinning is a waste of force/action)
All classical groups i joined were made of people without armors because ennemies didn't even had time to reach us before they were dead.

So go ahead, make your spin groups... You don't know what power is....

Get non pack ennemies
Get a non laggy area (there is lot of cities where you can grab high level missions that also are improved job market)
Get a puller that keeps pulling on ennemy after another
Assist the puller
Smell the difference.

hehe, I am a MDef, and I will tell you 2 nights ago, I was only online for about 3 hours, and I there was one guy who capped, in our group, all his wep xp twice. I do not know what he began with, but I know we we all decided it was time to log/do something else, he was going for his third trip that night.

I would put the xp generated in one of my groups where I am tanking with 2 very good friends who keep their attacks to a minimum, heal me, and feed me force between lairs IF NEEDED, which is rare, against your casual grouping XP you describe any day.

What I will not do is say you method is bad or in any way wrong. And I certainly will not judge the "fun factor" of you group vs a spin group. I am just saying teh XP output is absolutely hands down in favor of a Defender led Spin group with 1 or 2 key support people.

I got to agree with you on that one. Participated in my first spin group with a master defender and we went thru all our missions in like an hour and a half!I just pointed to the lair and used area attacks and capped all three of my weapons.Plus threw a few heals when needed. Much more fun than taking twice the time the old fashioned way. Why should I take twice as long to do something I can do in half the time? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Are you really clueless enough to think that the players who are adept enough at this game to make great spin groups will even blink when they have to change their tactics? Those groups work because the players in them know what they are doing and work together. If they had to do it without a single AOE attack they would still be faster than the average grinding n00b who doesn't know what they are doing.

I've been in a lot of groups both AOE and non and the groups that are made up of players who are skilled and good at working together and have good leadership waltz through lairs because they don't waste time they just get the job done.

Your posts reek of elitism.

Oh noes! a blue glowy called me an elitest.

the good spin groups work because of ONE master defender/MLS.....currently it's possible to approach 1 mil Jedi xp an hour...I know this cause I've served as a spintank and handed people levels....it requires no cooperation...just some area attacks with broken or weak weapons to avoid the risk of anyone else pulling agro....the bottom line is I'm not at all against powergamers or maximum efficiency...but this is ridiculous...and we all know that it's not gonna last AT THIS PACE....so get over it.

yes, without Area's a group that works together can earn XP way quicker than we did....but it is a more rational rate ofadvancement...no problem with that.

they need to fix the laires that never self destruct no matter how many times you clear them and come back.

laires need to release mobs with random aggro to all individuals currently attacking the mobs from, and the laire.

Says the person who has given no substantial reason for his views other than he appears to be cranky and easily annoyed by things that have nothing to do with him.

[edit] I stand corrected, you did eventually give your reasons. But they just highlight what the above posts are pointing out. The spiteful nature you are displaying.

OH please enough of this I had it hard bullsh!t already. Grinding is not hard it never has been. Its tedious and boring. anothing more than a time sink to make up for the lack of ability (for whatever reason) to come up with an inventive leveling system. You grinded the way that was avaialble to you and we grind the way that is avaialble to us. Neither were hard.
