Ok, so I did a little test since the poster says otherwise. Took my BH went on the terms saw that my wife who has a jedi as well is NOT on the terms. She is not a knight so I equipped her sabre took her out of my house and down to cnet and sat here there while I was at work. No peace macro or anything. Very new jedi so loosing xp is no biggie. About 6 hours later with all the people that come in and out guess who shows up with a mission on her jedi. Yes that is right a BH. One dead jedi for having a saber equipped not giving you visibility!

This would certainly explain how I ended up on the Terms, how about driving through an NPC spawn with a Saber equiped - same result? It would also mean that drive-bys are dangerous even with a peace macro running, if you have a saber equiped....

Please dont sticky a thing til we know what is confirmed from a dev !!

IF your concerned about visibility my friends, I would recommend this...

If the devs do not specifically indicate what will or will not generate visibility its best to assume it does.

For instance, we are discussing whether or not having a lit saber out in front of a player or npc generates visibility, if you look at this exact word for word quote from a dev statement, it is vague but importantly revealing : "starting combat with a lightsaber and every Jedi action".

Anyone who tells you differently according to their "tests", you should take that information and review what has been stated by the devs who DO know the truth to the matter.

With no visible 'Visibility meter' you can reference to see how much actual visiblity value you have before and after a test, I would conclude any hypothesis as to what is true/false (unless confirmedby a dev statement) should be completely ignored.

Sorry statistic / testers, theres no way around the facts...

I agree to a point. But if everyone in the community posts what they believe, and you get multiple answers by multiple jedi and they confirm what the devs have posted then you can form an opinion of your own. Also there will never be a visibility meter, because people would exploit it to the point that some jedi would not grind while they KNEW they were on the terms. BH would throw a fit and scream bloody murder!

You have to be deathblown, by a bounty hunter, that has your mission. Triple incaps, db by others, do not count.

Alternatively, you can not leave your house for 3 weeks.

You gotta die to a BH DB to get off the terms (or wait for vis to decay

Yeah, that's what I did. I decided to get it over with and continue to grind instead of do nothing for 3 weeks.

IT can be done easier than that, if you have a person run from 37m to 27m away from you repeatedly while you have your saber equipped you will end up on the terms.

It's possible you either missed your wifes mission or 5 BH already had it.

Of course it's more likely you both are correct and I was just lucky. Personally I haven't taken my saber out of my had for over a month now. I can't say I wasn't put on the terminals because of it for certain though as onceduring the past3 weeks I have got bored and started dueling with my friends.

All I can safely say is during that timeIleft myself on follow on a patrol of Imperial troops for a few hours, and also spent alot of timejust sitting in a buff house with several other players and their pets while chatting. Despite these things no BH visited me till after I started doing stupid stuff, so any visibility given by it must be very small (at least on a per person bases, meaning it's only a risk if you spend a lot of time running around coronet).

wow thats a bummer, they should make it so if you db like 3 different bh's youd get off, having it be 3 would stop alot of people from just dbing their friends...

Someone said it already but I just want to chime in to confirm it, equipping your robe in public does NOT generate vis at all, I have done this in front of several people as well as wandering npcs (mining outpost) and have not been on the terms.

Also want to add that an npcs usually has a name, this is a surefire way to tell if it's an npc. So those little ewoks, the good ones and the evil ones all count as npcs.
