Updated.

Sorry, toosweeet but you were mistaken in most of your "corrections"

Extensive research has been done on the "having your ls equipped" category and the initiate combat without using specials or powers, both of which I have correctly noted. However I have found your first correction to be.. well.. correct, thank you.

beating a dead horse here. where do we stand then? yea or nay on the "equipped" saber? no "equipping". btw. Thanks KeldarDensather

The official information from the devs only say that "equipping" can cause visibility. This has also been confirmed by the experience of numerous people postinghere. I fully believe that the "unequipping" theory is nothing but a rumor that unfortunately keeps being repeated by people.

Read my post earlier in this thread. The information about visibility from Tiggs have to my knowledge never been proven wrong.

Here's a question I haven't been able to get a straight answer on:

Can Jedi PCs group and hunt together without adding to each other's visibility?

in other words do Jedi PCs generate visibilty?

Here is a selection of questions about Jedi visibilityI have oftenbeen asked thatyou may consideradding to the FAQ:

- Does myJedi visibility increase for unequipping my lightsaber within 32 meters of player- and non-player characters?

-Yes it does

- Does myJedi visibility increase for unequipping my lightsaber within 32 meters of other Jedi characters?

Yes it does. As of yet you get same vis from jedi as other players. ironic since they'd be telling on you to the same enemy they have.

- Does myJedi visibility increase for unequipping myJedi Robewithin 32 meters of player- and non-player characters?

Yes it does. Equipping and Unequipping robe gives vis within 32m of player- and non-player characters because it changes force pool

- Does myJedi visibility increase fordisengaging a force powerwithin 32 meters of player- and non-player characters?

I don't get what you mean by disengaging a force power....but unless it uses force at the end it won't give vis. force powers only give vis when they USE force

- Does myJedi visibility increase for blocking blaster bolts with my lightsaber within 32 meters of player- and non-player characters?

Depends. If you see your blade light up than yes. if you're on a vehicle no but on foot when someone shoots and you block blade goes out. you get vis.

- Does healing other players increase my Jedi visibility?

I'm not sure who asked this while riding the short bus but YES obviously since you're using a force power within 32m of another person you get vis.

- Does performing any of the abovewithin 32 meters of my guildmates, friends andin-game wifeincrease my Jedi visibility?

Yes it does. Using ANY force power, or doing anything that a normal player (non-jedi) cannot do will give you vis if you're 32m or less away. Group/Guild/Friends/Wife does not change visibility in any way. Do it in front of them, you get the same amount.

If anyone has any questions about jedi mechanics PM me I've done a LOT of research on this topic including lots of testing so please PM me. don't create new topics about it though plz just search

The devs have never stated that unequipping lightsaber gives visibility and they never even mentioned robes giving visibility at all. Lots of people have posted how they have been unequipping their saber and both equipping and unequipping robes for months without ever being on the terminals.

Since what you are saying contradicts what the devs have stated about visibility (see my post earlier in this thread), you need to provide very convincing evidence that this is not correct. Otherwise you are hurting the community more than helping by spreading false rumors.

/bump
5 *'s buddy. You might wanna add the 32m range onto it, since it is supposed to be a FAQ after all =)

BTW, robe's don't give vis. both myself and quite a few fellow guildmates/brother guildmates wear robes around other people. /shrug or maybe it's a minute amount...who knows? let's look at the source code, like that'll happen heheheh.

Ok, so I did a little test since the poster says otherwise. Took my BH went on the terms saw that my wife who has a jedi as well is NOT on the terms. She is not a knight so I equipped her sabre took her out of my house and down to cnet and sat here there while I was at work. No peace macro or anything. Very new jedi so loosing xp is no biggie. About 6 hours later with all the people that come in and out guess who shows up with a mission on her jedi. Yes that is right a BH. One dead jedi for having a saber equipped not giving you visibility!

Can I just add the definetive definition of an NPC

If you can harvest it's corpse, it is NOT an NPC

NPC's are NOT harvestable

---

There is also a question - although I haven't explored this - about dizzy-KD - i.e. if it can be dizzy-KDed (i.e. it stays down) then it is an NPC

IT can be done easier than that, if you have a person run from 37m to 27m away from you repeatedly while you have your saber equipped you will end up on the terms.
