Craylon wrote: OK, a question that will seem foolish to all of you macro-ing gurus out there. I am grinding my way to Master Swordsman. If I want to create a macro that runs over night (whilst visions of Krayt Pearls dance in my head) on a loop to build XP, where exactly do I 'leave' my character runing this macro? Do I just set it up near a Gorg Warren and hope that enough foolish creatures wander into my blade's path? I guess I am not understanding how endless streams of creatures are going to come running to their deaths in order for this tactic to work.Please enlighten me!
There are noob areas that static spawn mobs outside of most starting cities like Mos Eisley, Coronet and Theed. You don't get a lot of XP per kill, but it adds up fast overnight and the mobs just keep on spawning and you'll never have to worry about getting killed. Plus, there are combat macros out there. Not sure, but it's something like this:
/ui action targetself;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
/pause 5; (this will give you brawlers time to get close to the target - adjust as needed)
/attack;
/pause 20; (adjust as needed for tha amount of time it takes you to kill the mobs)
/harvest bone; (or hide or whatever if you want. you can leave this step out)
/sit;
/pause 30; (to heal from any damage you took)
/stand;
/ui action toolbarSlot00; (or whatever spot you want to put the macro in your toolbar)
Thanks for the info. I was interested as to where these noob areas were, but now that you mentioned Mos Eisley, I can picture one in my mind's eye.

Music / Dancer -
The correct macro is:
/join; /healdamage self; /pause 8; /healdamage self; /pause 5;
/startmusic (highest song you can play);
/flourish 1; /flourish 2; /pause 10; <-----Repeat this line about 8 times, change around the flourishes a bit to your taste.
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Put this macro in the first toolbar slot. Change /startmusic to /startdance for Dancer. Go straight up the Music Knowledge line. Always play the highest instrument you can, except the Ommni Box, which you have to be targetting. The Chindinkaloo works great. Same for dancer, go straight up the Dancin Knowledge line.
Hmmm...of course it's a matter of personal perferance, but I don't like this macro much (although "/healdamage self" is what's needed for sure). You don't get more XP for performing 2 flourishes within 10 seconds, as I've tested this 100 times over, so therefore you're just wasting action, which results in wasting stims.
Also your method requires going in and editing the macro every time you get a new song/dance, instead of just placing the best song/dance you have in your toolbar and referencing that (songs/dances can be found in "Other" under your commands and abilities window - ctrl+A).
Definitely go up the knowledge branch first for both professions, but when you get the Ommni Box, use it! There's no reason not to and you get at least 20 more XP for using it I've found. Yes you have to keep it targeted but why's that a problem when you're running a macro and going AFK? ![]()
I'm either guessing that no one has figured this out or they just think it too far-fetched for anyone to try, but heres my take on mastering politician.
First things first you need to choose to become a Bounty Hunter,Ch,TKM, or Commando. Either one of those will work, doesnt matter how you chooose, flip a coin, roll dice, just choose. Now lets assume you went for the combo of CH/BH First off Read the guides for mastering scout,mastering marksman,master CH, and then just go into BH as 0,0,4,3 or 0,0,3,4.
Now youve got your professions, real money making professions. Go to Dantooine and start soloing those 27k Voritors, your going to need A LOT of cash, im not exactly sure how much, but its A LOT. When you feel that youve racked up a lot of spare change, I would assume, by doing this all day on doc buffs.
You need to join a faction, im not sure if the Reb side offers this but i know imps have the option to buy xp. Start surrenduring skills, and train your heart away to master politician.
As for myself no i havent tested this, because i havent gotten a holocron to say that i need to be Politician, i'm simply assuming this will work, any suggestions or ideas on this thought are welcomed, as are the ever burning flames...
People have tried... you need hundreds of millions of credits to make this work.

Definitely a matter of taste.
Took me just over four playing days with this. The key problem is Ent. Healing XP. I was maxxed at 900k Music xp for almost a day. The trick there is to get a Combat Medic to drop mind disease on everyone in the group. Also asking the Medics watching the group to /tenddamage helps.
Also, you can't buy BH Investigation XP or Politician XP from a Faction Recruiter. In fact the XP you can buy is severely limited.
With the smuggler spice tree stock up and pour though Shadowpaw like mad until Spice III. At that time switch to Thrusterhead. The resources are gas, meat and chemical which is more than Shadowpay but you get 50xp more per item.
I burned through these with 4 crafting tools active constantly, while surveying near a mission term. This way you are getting surveying xp (and pulling up chemicals you are using on your spices hopefully), spicing xp, and beginning the survey grind for Artisan if you want to go that line.
With droid engineer, 800+ MSE droids to Blueprints II then begin theAdvanced Droid Frame. grind. The entire process should take about 185k fiberplast and 400k steel. If you have the time and 5 crafting tools, you should be able to master the entire line in under 11 hours.

Merchant: Probably an exploit…**************************************** Have a person run into your house repeatedly. On autorun the xp comes as fast as they can click it.
this is an exploit, you shouldnt be advertising it.

Animi, this is a consolidation of tht thread. Although some resources were mentioned, in many cases it was not very precise. I don't have enough experience with some of them to make a guess. If someone wants to supply the numbers, I would be happy to include them.
This is the thread I am talking about:

Very good info in there.
