Being a jedi is a spiral -one publish u rock next u stink..i stand by my post about fixes

take us all back to pre pub 9 status minus the perma death..remove us from the GCW and Stop this Care Bear we are the world huggy nonesense...if i wanted political correctness in my games id find a Democrat programer to write me one..i get enough of the real world in the real world...

and if u think we are 1.5 you must be playin KOTOR( thatd be a awesome SWMMORPG ) cause it isnt here and im way pre cu so ive got a tad of game time under me and my jedi..

also im one of the ones not logging in anymore...i want my own content not provide it..SOE how hard is it to repair a game..2 years they have had and IMO its worse...only prob Pre cu was dots and a few broke professions...Tweaks we were told...allready Nerfed they said..LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

if u believe jedi hasnt/isnt nerfed then look at my robes theyhave defense mods of the Best Comp Armor...

1.5 stronger is SOE idea destroyed by the programming changes the devs did in the game.I remember when the devs used to say it will take like 2 people to take down a jedi knight and mat be 4 for a master. if you don't remember this you haven't been playing long enough. As a bh I used to hate fighting a jedi but during that time BH defenses were taken away by one of those fast SOE combat balance fixes. It seems this people go to the extremes when it comes to balance. SOE adds too much to one side and takes too much from the other side, the answer is simple. Don't fix what's not broken and add power to the weak profession.

I will say I miss the torso shoot with fire dot but I bet SOE will add this and don't add to jedi profession to compensate. I wonder if this SOE people are drunk when they do this combat balance fixes.

Can you guys PLEASE shut upand be patient. I'm not saying exactly where I got this from, but I'm hearing from a VERY reliable source that has people in places that would know this (no, this doesn't mean the Dev position or anything, but if you think the Devs hold this info as top secret stuff in their workplace your completely wrong), that the FRS will have, among other things, Higher levels for Guardian/Master. To be exact: You progress from Knight and slowly gain levels until 100, your then considered 'Guardian'. You progress from Guardian and slowly gain levels until 120, your then considered 'Guardian'. Now I trust this source, and when I found out about this a few days ago I smacked myself in the face for ever whining on the forums. Do you honestly think that with a new expansion out and a promised FRS that was submitted to LUCAS himself that the current bugs/problems with Jedi aren't going to be fixed? I know I did and now I I'm smacking myself for being an idiot.

So, that answers your question. No I don't think we're 1.5 times as powerful. If we were 1.5 times as powerful as a Level 80 Character then we wouldn't be level 80, we would be level 120 you idiot, don't take everything the Devs say literally and be PATIENT for the sake of me staying sane. kthnxbye.

I am watching the video linked in this thread in disbelief, but I can definitely see it happening. Having a Force bar right now is not the way to play the game. Up to a month ago, I too felt I was able to hold my own against anyone one versus one. The zip bar added to power hit, a useless dervish, six second heals, and mind costs for every attack have put me on equal footing to an experienced player. It does not matter if it is a melee tank or a BH with a droid, you will experience a defeat very soon. Your Jedi power has been lessened to a point of being a regular CL 80 toon. The last holdouts will be Master Defenders, who could probably fair ok. If they do not have a 700 damage saber, they aren't going to win, only survive. When they run into a regular toon with the right equipment and experience they will be posting on this thread next.

Actually today I made a MDef use a holocron, and then he ran out of force again before running into a base with my bh. Killed a MDef yesterday who used AI twice ... LOL

Not true. A Jedi with Force Sap, Force Speed, Master Sabers, and a good (doesn't need to be the best) saber can kill ANY bounty hunter that comes after him. The problem is that there aren't many who opt for this template because they are FotM Jedi who think building a template to tank a DJM with macros is the way to go.

We aren't saying we can't kill them, we are saying we are not 1.5 times stronger. Do you know have fully armored BH's with Armor Break armor, capped energy resist, fully modded, with health mods? Our bh's have this armor and it's adk'd. I have one on my alt. I can stand, GUARANTEED in front of ANY of you and you can not kill me. End of story. I can heal for 2500 in 2 seconds. I get hit for about 400 and sometimes just a bit more. It's a joke now, we have our bh's templated and we just walk around killing everyone.

Actually, Jedi ARE 1.5 times stronger in their templates. The Devs can balance the most basic things like weapons, weapon specials, etc to make Class vs. Class balance 1.5:1, but what they cannot balance is skill and talent. A bounty hunter who is a skilled PvP'er (which is what most of them are) will slaughter a Jedi who doesn't know what the F he is doing. However if that Jedi had the same skill level as the bounty hunter, then the Jedi will win EVERY SINGLE TIME.

What you are really saying is that a retarded, no-skill-having Jedi is not 1.5 times stronger than a skilled PvP'er BH -- which is true.

The Devs cannot delegate talent.

actually 725 max saber, 16 FC, force speed 2 and force sap and still couldnt get a m.bh/m.pistols/4-0-0-0 under 50% mind simply because of the combo of rooting and getting out of range using stims and ab sliced armor.

eh? don't know how to use a saber throw KD and suppression? a pistoleer BH will always be in saber throw range. also, problem getting aura+valor+pikatta up? they really will miss a lot.

aura+ valor and pikkata doesnt do much difference VS 300+ accuracy, the combo of warning shot to lower their defences also help. Eyeshot + duelist stance + pikatta + intimidate shot limits the damage a jedi does to someone in 8k ab sliced recon.

Basically using a 725 max saber my powerattack does about 600 - 700 points of damage and thats with a windup and i have to stand still. My headhit/bodyhit/leghit hits for about 400 - 500, same with saberthrow. the root lasts for about15 seconds i think, the second you root someone with the bh/pistoleer temp you get KD and disarmingshotted for about 5 seconds, then the second the root wears off get root and they run out to 30ish saberthrow range.

its not a "im incapped and geta db situation" its more the fact that someone with bh and armor break sliced recon coupled with CM heals and stims can easily drain a jedi completely of force, which means that the jedi is dead.

The force pool will eventually drain from just keeping aura, valor, basic saberattacks, and force speed active due to the way to low regen rate compared to the rate force drains

force aura : 150 force

force speed : 300 force

Force supression : 225 force

Adv saber throw : 30 force

imp armor break : 30 force

So to do what you said : aura + force speed + root + saberthrow and armor break = 735 force

a template with these skills would have about 6000 force, so just activating base abilities and a root + saberthrow and armor break costs me over 10% of my total force pool, a pool that takes about 10 - 14 minutes to fully regen.

now doing a saberthrow every 3 seconds il drain a full forcepool (6000) in about 10 minutes, could also be 15 depending on if the force cost is 20 or 30 for saberthrow. Now this is just saberthrow, reactivating aura every 45 seconds in those 10 minutes takes a total of roughly 800 force.

The issue here isnt are jedi 1.5 the issue is wt-f is wrong with the force drain and force regen? because its way to easy to drain a full template jedi of force.

oh and for the 1.5 guy, what was said was : a fully templated padawan would be 1.5 times stronger

You are really fudging the numbers to make it look like Jedi are weak and thus make it look like Jedi are require a power buff.

First off, 300 accuracy? WTH? An MBH/MPistoleer only hasa total of 200 accuracy, with tapes it goes to 250. With crispic it goes to 290 and uses up valuable stomach filling. Most won't even have capped accuracy tapes, and the ones who do are the hardcore PvP'ers who should probably beat you anyways because itsounds like you don't knowwhat you're doingfrom your descriptions.Even in the best case scenario where you don't have him blinded to reduce his accuarcy, his 290 accuracy vs. your 900-1000defense when you've got aura+valor+pikatta means he will miss 60-70% of the time, and when his shots DO land they will be for 200 damage each time.

I cannot comment on the specific force costs you mentioned in your response, but what I DO know is that each of those specials you mentioned are not something you have to activate each time you use them. You sort of imply that each time you attack you would have to activate those specific force specials each combat round. The force costs are one-time use that lasts for 30-45 seconds which equates to many combat rounds.

MBH/MPistols is the weakest jedi hunting template possible. It has no CM debuffs. It has the lowest accuracy of all the ranged professions. It lacks any high damage specia. If you seriously have problems killing one of these types of bounty hunters, then maybe you should try a different profession.

I don't think overall a Jedi is stronger, though I think a Jedi can outlast the big PvE folks more. Now I know noone seems to care about PvE strength (which is why we are getting weaker each month as we try to 'balance' the 10% of Pvp In game). I know that when I take out my random group of stormtroopers it takes half my force bar (over 3k of force) and that is a handful of level 25's with a few 45 leaders. I also know that the other night in the death watch bunker, I was being attacked by 4 level 90+ dudes for about 2 minutes while the reset of my group was 'recovering' and mostly not seeing I was under attack. Then I died and 30 seconds later 6 of them died (including 1 jedi, but not a master defender). So I love Jedi defenses, but I like not dying easily best. As far as PvP goes though, it is a clear draw with bounty hunters. I can get them down to under 25% health, but then they pop up hit a heal (most are at least part combat medics) and it starts all over. In about 5 minutes my force would be out, so I normally just bolt before then (if I even bother to fight, why give them even that much fun and let them force us into PvP, no puns intended).

So, nahhh, even though my character is built to tank, unless I use domaniate mind I don't get agros cause I am not doing enough damage. If it is PvP then it is a toss up based on character skill, so it is hard to say 1.5 times better, but not too many folks are scared of coming after jedi solo, even fully templated any more, so that should be enough.

First off, Pday, you're wrong. The devs said shortly after fanfest that a Padawan was to be equal to a normal profession and only FRS bonuses would make a Jedi 1.5x stronger.

Maura, Pday is attempting to show the following.

Out of roughly 6000 available force a Jedi uses roughly:

300 Force every five minutes (Speed)

150 Force every 30 seconds (Aura)

225 Force every 30 seconds (Suppression)

30 force every special attack (or every 2 seconds)

Compare this to a BH which can use Duelist Stance / Specials / Healing at a rate restricted only by action and mind, meaning as long as they can keep A and M up with foods and buffs, they can use their abilities a limitless amount.

In one minute of the Jedi v. BH combat you describe:

The Jedi uses Speed once: -300 Force

Aura twice: -300 Force

Suppression twice: -550 Force

Twenty Five special attacks: -750 Force

----------------------------------------------------

Using a total of 1900used Force, roughly 1/3 of the Force bar.

This is not including healing, which would be roughly 100 Force per heal.Since the recharge is 6 seconds and most will use infusion, lets assume 3 heals and infusion. Thats an extra 310 used Force for a total loss of 2110 used in ONE minute.
