Thread: How Many Vets Will Quit If Their Pearls Get Nerfed?
What i really wanna know is where are the posts by the DEVs about the nerfing already tuned pearls/crystals. I have seen Tigg's post about the drops but no where about actually resetting the tunes on existing prem/flawless pearls.

Sorry but I think I deserve the premuim pearls I have. Everyone had ample oppurtuinity to get them before CU when krayts we're spawning like mad.
It's my fault you didn't put the time and effort in to do that.

Quitting the game is certainly your option, but your statement reflects a willful ignorance of the way SOE has to run the game as a business. Being around during different phases of game design should not entitle you to an overwhelming advantage. Every player should have the CHANCE or METHOD to obtain just as high end equipment as any other. Power gamers will always have an advantage to obtain goals (Level, equipment, etc) quicker, but the average gamer should have the OPPORTUNITY (probably in a longer time frame) to get that same equipment. To freeze them out will cost SOE subscribers and lose them money, which they do not want.
I do not think pearls will get nerfed, nor do I want that to occur. I do think other, newer players (IE, SOE's revenue stream, and the hope for the future of the game) should have an opportunity to get good equipment as well.
Why do you think others should not be entitled to good (premium, I mean, Isuppose 
)pearls as well? What difference will it make in your game play in any fashion if others have a method to obtain them? Are you just being selfish because you no longer feel super duper in relation to others? Are you that selfish and insecure?

SOE does not even know who you are lol and they wont care about your pearls when they change the system

I absolutely love all the threats to quit. Great...quit....don't let the door hit you in the arse. You sound like the lot of whining babies that you are. There are professions that still aren't functional in the game but no its "my saber better not be nerfed." The game will be a lot better without all the jedi and the constant cloakganking in PvP that occurs by jedi. It doesn't matter what your stats on your saber are because 5 jedi will always take down other professions in an instance. And this is what constantly happens in PvP to other professions. It happens every single day.
And I'm really tired of the kindergartners saying "Ohhh, I was here first so my pearls should be better and you can't get some." We all paid the same price to acquire the game and all pay the same price on a monthly basis. Thus all items should be available to all players. The real reason some are crying about a possible nerf is because these players know they don't have the skill to win against other professions with a lesser saber.
And quit treating all players like the small few that have done the AFK grind. Most of the players I know aren't doing this. They are spending the endless hours of grinding with groups and the constant rides to the village to exchange the capped XP. It even takes longer now that they have changed the exchange ration on combat XP.
If you don't like the game, get out. Go find something else to do. Get a life. Since your not uber in real life you need to be uber in game so you think your something special.
This is not meant for those jedi that are not whiners and take a more constructive attitude and understand that the game will continue to be tweaked and the game should be fixed so all players can enjoy the experience. The rest of you 13 year olds and jedi ebay buyers can flame away cuz I really don't give a flying f$%k!

not everyone who walked this path got their premium sabers. I was halfway at the end of the pre cu. Only have one premium pearl.

Why, the only thing that the devs are talking about (IMO) are the current 'untuned' prem/flawless pearls/crystals. Doesn't it make sense that if they make these Prem pearls a rare loot/quest item that there would be too many untuned Prem/Flawless pearls out there right now? Hell, I have 4 Prem and a Flawless right now untuned so I know people still have them. The reason I say that is the devs statement states we can keep our prem pearls in the interm.....well once you tune a pearl it is no longer classified flawless/prem/quality/good/fair/poor, it just has stats. The key here is they said Prem, that signifies an untuned item.
The only way anything could be nerfed is by removing ALL pearls/crystals from game and starting over. Reason why that doesn't seem to be what the devs have in mind is because they mentioned Prem in particular. You really have to make sure you read their statements closely. I put this statment up there with their current "BH's will be able to track Jedi to Mustafar", funny how the question being asked if they will be able to track Jedi ON Mustafar. You have to read between the lines people.
I did get my jedi 7 weeks ago, and my saber is ok! you just need to work 4 it!

Put the blame on yourself if you ask me. I know many jedi who unlocked post cu but had stashes of pearls to tune and now have great sabers. I think drops should be fixed because atm there is nothing to do ingame but nobody has the right to cry nerf because they were too dumb to not harvest pearls back in the day.
wow, um no one knew about the pearl issue genius, and i dont know if you know this but tuning is alot more random now, ive seen so many premies tune to 50 damage.
