Thread: How Many Vets Will Quit If Their Pearls Get Nerfed?
this is basically for anyone who has not tuned over 400 pearls/crystals.
all i here is crying my pearls tune like crap. well once you've gone out and killed over 2500 krayt dragons and or NS stop whining. thats about how many i killed to get my saber and i'll be damned if a bunch of whining little noobs get them nerfed cause you don't want to put in the effort to get your own. ahh but you say they are only good pearls and they tune like crap. well the devs say that you can get a perfect tune from the good pearls/crystals. so keep hunting. It's way easier to kill the dragons now than it was then aswell. so until you put in the effort stop fu#king whining, it's getting pathetic.
like one of the other posters wrote you sound like you want the master title bestowed upon you without acually having to work for it.
and FYI. i've ground out 2 jedi one preCU and one postCU and i can say that you have had it about 100 times easier than preCU jedi.
stop crying for the instant I WIN button, you're not going to get it - cause it's not out there to get.

Put the blame on yourself if you ask me. I know many jedi who unlocked post cu but had stashes of pearls to tune and now have great sabers. I think drops should be fixed because atm there is nothing to do ingame but nobody has the right to cry nerf because they were too dumb to not harvest pearls back in the day.
They always were random. There were no guarantees of a great tune precu. I have a bag of 50 premium and flawless tunes that were crap. The few friends I knew who had some precu pearls both got a saber of 115+dam pearls all with nice spd and FC too. I know people didn't know the nerf was coming but it doesn't make them smart for waiting until they absolutely needed the pearls to start harvesting them. I feel for the bad tunes and pearls now but there is noe excuse for people not to have a few pearls saved up if they knew they were going jedi.

I 100% believe that they should leave pre nerf crystals/pearls the same but at the same time DAMMIT fix the drops so everyone has a chance to create something decent. Whats unfair is the innability for those who didnt collect pre nerf pearls/crystals, have no chance to get them now.

n00b... i hate the guys who **edit** and moan about how they suck, and how it's the dev's fault that they didn't get their ass in order and unlock earlier than they did.....

BTW, you can get good crystals/pearls...it is just a little more difficult to obtain an takes a little more time, but they are out there. So dont freakin complain and go loot them, sheesh do you guys just want a jedi master given to you or something? goodness.

Hmm got to love the pissy attitude here, we are privaleged to get better pearls, what kind of crap is that. Getting Jedi through the village system isn't that bloody easy mind. I agree u guys had a much harder time when u got to jedi to grind it but that doesn't make us any less and when u got T21's out there with 1600 max damage and u got a crap saber of 500 max damage kinda makes it a bit one sided (MBH/MCM).
Before u rant on and call us noobs remember that we have paid our dues as well, it took me 12 months to get jedi which didn't invlove in holo-grinding.
So have a bit more respect for your fellow Jedi, Mr high and almight
a crystal shouldn't make it burn through flesh any easier or make your weightless blade swing any faster, or even how taxing using the blade is on your force powers.
Nerf pearls all together. Keep elemental damage, maybe, but keep it the same each color. Balance it out and use pearls for something else.
Just my thoughts.

/sigh....I would never wish for a nerf to my own class but I almost want this one to go through so that some of these elitist jerks do quit. The system is what it is now because of these pre-9 jedi and their hologrinding that almost killed this game and they want a damn medal for it. This game was never supposed to be a race to unlock so the argument that those that did are special doesn't hold any water. Their actions created the current system and yet they flame everyone for it...like we have another choice.
People need to realize that no one is special in this game, SOE will do whatever they want to and if you're the kind of person who chooses to quit rather than adapt then SOE probably already wrote you off when they ran the projections before the patch. They didn't pull any punches when they nerfed many other pre-cu items to the brink of worthlessness and many of us stayed. Do I think you older jedi should keep what you worked for...yes. Do I think everyone else should be locked out for reasons that you somehow deserve to be unbalanced...get over yourselves.

Sorry but pearls are still easily attainable. Just not for jedi. Took my mbh/mrifle/cm 4000 and was soloing them all night last night. Only had a problem against the giant canyon krayts. ( N those were the only ones I intentionally pulled into mobs.)
Overall haul:
2 good pearls
5 krayts scales
krayt hide.

ROFL. 5000 dmg sabers. 85% saberblock. Lightsaber damage resisted by nothing. Uber doc buffs that made you PvE invincible. Dervishing lvl 99 voritor lairs in 3 minutes by yourself. Able to grind in the wild and actually get xp for it. Solo groups. Farming krayts for premium pearls on bugged spawn points. Bugged spawns in the geo cave. AFK grinding in the Warren. Yup. Sounds like it was pretty tough.

I have the same template as you and find that Giant Canyon Krayts are easier than the rest because they move slower, but do take a little longer than others.
I alos find (maybe coincidence) that Giant Canyons have a higher drop rate of pearls than Canyons or Juveniles.
