honestly you dont look very jedi like yourself, the clothes look pretty expensive and way to "flashy" for a jedi. My jedi is a light jedi, wears the alliance medal of honor, uses the bane's heart crystal (atleast untill i can get my kenobi's legancy), and dresses all in black with black face tatoo's, who are you to say what a jedi would wear?
I disagree with you on my clothes looking "flashy". The colors are very base, like the Jedi from the movies wore, but thats your opinion and of course your entitled to it. If tan, dull white, and brown is what you consider flashy, so be it. But to set you straight on one matter, I'm not saying what people should or shouldnt wear, I'm saying that someJedi's choice ofappearance is simply un-SW(at least, according to the movies and books I've read). If you dont care about that, thats fine, but its still true.

Looks don't matter, it's all how you act. I have 2 cyber arms, but it fits my story. A jedi in this time period would not be wearing robes.

I'm not gonna read through all the other posts everitt but I totally agree, ya i think theres a few to many jedi but if they weren't all acting "l33t" it wouldn't seem near as much... I will be a jedi in less than a month and I WILL act like a true jedi unlike all these *cough* "l33t" *cough* jedi, they sicken me... well like you i've said my two cents hate me if you wantpeople but no one cares to see you anyway unless theyre facing necrosis or something else thats equally strong. You all should have a penalty for acting the way you do... for shame...

Wow, the fashion police have arrived. I guess I had better get rid of my banes heart (me being a rebel, that may upset you a tad). I'll also visit an image designer and get my hair dyed blonde, lest my purple ponytail offend. I also better visit a tailor and get my purple clothes binned and have some carbon copy "wannabe jedi" clothes made instead to wear.

Hey! I'm a jedi with a purple pony tail, too! I just wear my paddie robes, though. I wouldn't mind wearing something more stylish, but I play a Star Wars game to be a jedi in the way I would play a jedi--well, ignoring the whole "gotta kill 1200 more pikets till the next box" thing--not to show off my ability to put wacky outfits together.
Frankly, the example of the "bad jedi" in the OP looks more like the kids at my daughter's school. They try so hard to show they aren't conforming so they can be like all their other non-conforming friends.
Personally, I don't get how my clothes affect my connection with the Force. I could see why the Force wouldn't want to talk to me if I dressed like Mr Bad Jedi, but that's not being the fashion police. After all, it's not a crime to dress badly. That doesn't mean he isn't dressed badly, though.

What about my Jedi
Clicky
This picture was taken shortly thereafter the 'Big Bang' that created the SWG Universe.
As you can see, even though the SWG Universe is still hot and yet to have expanded into the lovely game we have today... I came out clothed the way I am now
On a less serious note... Check out these pics I took recently
I'm so friggin good

its people like this. Now, let me say, I dont have anything against him in general(which is why I didnt show a name), but its that kind of person that ruins anything SW about this game for me. If it isnt obvious to you why, let me explain: Since he is a rebel(see necklace) this is a light Jedi, yet he's using a LS crystal named after a Sith lord which has a red tone. He's wearing a bandolier w/ weapon ammunition on it. A belt w/ grenades on it. Two robotic arms. No shirt. "Shorts". Casual shoes. Sunglasses. A "snow" hat.
Now, there is nothing wrong with any of those things in themselves, but when their all on a Jedi its ridiculous. There is nothing SW(relating to the movies or books) about that character. He looks about as far from a Jedi as you can look, and from what I've observed acts the same way. Its obvious that all this person is concerned about is being "l33t". Now, I'm not saying I think all Jedi should go around in their stock robes, as I dont w/ my Jedi. But at least I still a look and act like one.
Its the kind of Jedi that constantly duels in the MO w/ their robotic limbs and completely un-SW dresschallenging noobs to duels and all around acting like a spoiled childthat ruins the feeling of SW in this game, not the number of Jedi. I dont expect this to be incredibly well recieved here, as at least half of the Jedi in this game are just like the one I've discussed, but that doesnt really bother me. I've said my piece. To those that are not like this, and try to actualy be a Jedi like myself, I salute you. We are a rare breed.
You're right he does look lik a moron, but to each is own. I don't pay attention to it that much. He may be having fun making the game closer to real life bling, take a look at the galactic homeshow sometime, there is a lot of stuff made to resemble RL stuff there. Moronic or not it's creativity and as a previous post said, it's "thinking outside the box". As far as being L33t...who cares. He can be ignorant to roleplaying and be left out of that ascpect of the game. It's potentially his loss, not yours.

That was slightly before the time this game is set in... and Obi Wan is dead because of his robes!

I understand what the original poster was trying to convey and I do agree to a certain point. The problem is that in order to compete, you have to get the cloing and attachments that give you better stats. So in essence what needs to be done to done to fix that is allow for bio-eng's to make any mod avaible for any clothing type, not just be limited to dusters and camo pants as the only means to get defense mods or the like. I would love to be able to wear lets say the doctor robe, as it looks cool, and be able to get al the same stats that i wouyld with my full bio-eng suit and attachments. However, this work needs to be fixed on SOE's end, and we know how long that will be.
