Thread: You aren't supposed to play your Jedi 100% of the time

My God, there is someone else out there who gets it! All is not lost.
make sure you use words like 1337 and ubar (in your whiniest voice too) or they will be completely and utterly confused as well.
And forced combat, harrassment, forced PvP,and meanie old Mr. BH.

It was alot more like having a Ferrari in the garage, that you would take for a spin occasionally, it wasn't the car you drove to work everyday.I drive mine to work everyday.
youd better believe id drive my Ferrari to work every day. I know plenty people that drive their most extravegent car most of the time to show it off. Any body that owns a Ferrari will tell you that they are going to drive it and not some crappy honda to work.
You obviously know no one that owns a high end automobile then Mr. Wizard. Just a hint for you, a souped up Honda Civic is not an extravagant car, k?

what i don't understand is why the "old school jedi" cry about how easy it is to get jedi now.... IT ISN'T the process is longer if anything, and more involving. sure it's not as involving as it should or could be but it's more so than it was pre COMBAT UNGRADE.
example
/macro express: opens the game and begins crafting.... runs till server shut down while u go to work and out to get drinks that night... then when you wake up in the morning you start the macro again... if you are not master already..
(you forgot the part about making money to pay for it or waiting on harvs or running all over galaxy searching for corn to master chef..just saying it wasnt as simple as you make it out to be less you had everything you would possibly need before you started..which wasnt the norm and it still took time and alot of credits to gather it all if you did)
this was beyond easy for any profession... and after the release of the genosian bunker the combat professions could be used to finish combat templates the same way... profs could be done in less than 5 days times 31 relevant professions 155 days. TOPS
new system, 18 weeks MINIMUM.
(initiate to full temp in a week or two now..fair trade?)
i have been around since launch and though i do think the game has been nerfed to oblivion, it has been done to every class that has been over used... it is not jedi alone. my advice to people is to get used to it, nothing will change... SOE has had since EQ1 to set policy, and they continue to use the same policies that they have kept ever since... the only way things will change is when lucas pulls the rights away and gives it to someone else.... but guess what.... then we all have to start over. you thinkSOE will give their characters away? hahaha no.
(you're prolly right)
anywho... just some thought that came to my head when i read this thread, mostly ranting or jabbering like an old man.

We just sometimes wish we had our old car back, becuase, it was a helluva alot cooler than thie peice of crap we have drive now.
I'm a one-day-after-CU unlock. I really, really do feel for the Jedi who had just this amazing amount of power, and had it stripped away. It must really suck, and I don't blame any of you for being bitter about it-- in the time I was grinding towards Jedi, it was a golden ring. By the time I got it, I found the ring was just gold-painted and peeling. I still wouldn't trade Jedi for any other profession though.
Then some veteran Jedi yahoo comes along and blames me, as a post-CU Jedi, for his problems, even though I didn't create the system I unlocked in. And then I don't feel badthat that personhad his power stripped away.
This is in no way a shot at the OP --I do understand your point.
Ya, I remember having the Doc/Swords as main toon, Jedi was super cool toy though that would do 0-60 in 3.6 secs.
(And yes my husband does think I drive too fast. -But his screaming and grabbing for the dash is half the fun.)
This makes a lot of sense.

first about the ferarri... if i had a testerossa i would drive that thing everywhere... at least i might have before bush caused a nerf on gas prices. ![]()
second. i play my jedi non stop, i rarely play mynon-jedi character. mainly because jedi are more the focus of the game, and because being full temp makes jedi more playable than any other profession. i can always group with people, i can go into any event and not worry about a loss of xp, unless a BH that can actually kill me shows up ( very rare. ) but for the most part even with a 500dps saber i can do almost anything... even pvp is more fun with a jedi.
i don't really have a point, but i just don't understand why people think that playing a jedi is wrong when they have one themselves... do you think only you should have a jedi? do you hate the fact that so many other people now have one? don't be bitter that because others have attained a jedi, SOE is nerfing them. it's balance, they have to do it because there are more of them now. sorry

It is sad, that the level of reading comprehension on this particular forum averages at about 3rd grade level.
Really sad.
(I wonder if they even make it through the first paragraph sometimes, oh well, there's always hooked on phonics.)
