He does have a lot of resentment, maybe he's not lying about actually having to hologrind.

WS ws a pain...but I ended up making some good weapons ...or did you just master it then drop it?

My friend did a master and drop. I did AS, and afterwards never wanted to do another holo and just wait for the inpending quest system. I stayed AS for about a week, because back then, crafting seemed way too complicated for me. The only thing I was ever good at crafting was droids and buffs.

exactly jacella, thats my point also, it helpes you understand things. I only did one holo grind, unfortunately. But It help me more with understanding that profession. If you sped right thught it not looking at anything, then your loss, and i guess in truth the village grind is for you. Hours of numbing caveman grinding. But i think thats boring. Learning a new profession and how it works, eqauks fun and interesting.

In my playstyle, I always try to speed through the profession and then when I master, thats where the real learning begins. Crafters especially have no real market unless they are master, because people always want the best stuff. You don't learn a whole lot when you can't make the best stuff. I tried to stick with AS after I took a break with holos, but it just wasnt for me in that point of time. So I guess I did learn something about myself

Lol you did one holo and are now judging the Jedi who found the end of the goal... what's your point, hee is the facts in black and white:

1) Why did people do the Hologrind? To get Jedi.
2) Who got Jedi from Hologrinding? People who used the fastest and most efficient ways to get past that hidden 5th profession.

What was your point in doing the grind if you weren't trying to get a Jedi slot. For crying out loud, you did 1 freakin profession, you didn't hologrind. Hologrind is what people who "got silent" did, you have no place in judging us.

I have to admit, dropping the professions that I worked at getting was the hardest part. I loved Ranger (for some wierd reason), Commando, Doctor, Weaponsmith (even if I never got the insane list of resources to make anything great), smuggler, Pistoleer, TKM, Swordsman, and most of all... Dancer. It was hard to drop professions that I did my best to understand. I mastered 17 professions and took something away from each and every one of them. If you failed to learn, that's your own fault. The removal of the hologrind has just produced 3 months wonders that have no clue what other professions are like and what challenges they have. They are what will be the overall destruction of this game, not the hologrinders.

You are really stupid. I mean that clinically. You managed to unlock jedi without understanding anything that you did. You are the same type of person that goes to College because they were told to by their parents, got a generic business degree because their parents told them to, then graduates and realizes that they didn't learn a dang thing. They are no better than if the had joined the Peace Corp or just got a job at McDonalds...worse off in fact because they have no skills, just a piece of paper that tells them they did the Education Grind.

That was so beautifully Said Jacella. I dont think anyone could have done it more gracefully

and just Becaseu i did not reach "silent mode" doesnt mean i dont understand the concept of the holo grind. Like jac. Said your a fool. I began the holo grind because i wanted to be a jedi, do you honestly think i wanted to start it finish 1 holoand say, ahh the hell with it. Use your brain and finish the thoughts before you type them will you. And not everyone started from day 1 and was able to complete the hologrind. And as for judging people, you sure are doing alot of that yourself. So keep your mouth shut from now on, unless you have something contructive to say, or an actualtopic that you dont want to rant on about. We are stating our opinions nothing more.

People can choose to afk through everything, and that's their right. But I don't think they can comment, or at least not legitimately, on whether or not the system produced a more complete player if they let AutoIt play the game for them. Sure you can circumvent the system and plow throw everything, but that's your loss. What I learned during my hologrind opened my eyes to professions I would have NEVER considered, especially the crafting ones. Me, pay money to craft in a game where I could otherwise be fighting? You gotta be kidding me! Now, my alt is a crafter that's picking up FS crafting skills to complete him. I, at least, learned SOMETHING during that grind.

As Roy Rogers always said, "Those who afk through life are doomed to be less than, and appreciate life less than, those who don't." I'm paraphrasing here...

And yes, if you /ex me you'll see my scars.

And truly the hologrind was the best way to get jedi, nto this help a village bull shi*. This is the most moronic money making scheme they have come up with. Holo grind was acutally fun, and mysterious. Im not sure what the story line was but it made people master professions, which was good, instead of hours of EXP grind. I am a jedi, Village jedi. And i liked the holo days i personally spit on this idea.

QFE i was here b4 the hologrind and yea jedi was a bit more mysterious then like it should be

OMG WTH! What are you smoking? Apparently you never did the hologrind because this line alone shows your ignorance. Lol I grinded a bunch of crafting profs and kept the mastery for all of 2 seconds, ask me anything about making a droid now and I'm sure I know the answer /rollseyes. Lol you did the friggin village and unlocked so stop trying to answer questions about things you don't know.

"With the Hologrind you learned how to play each profession at least for a while"

MUHAHAHAHAHA Does anyone else find this crap funny?

First off I was commenting on another reply about the Hologrind with My opinion, although I did not explicitly state that.

I learned from the Crafting professions which profession I would use to support my Jedi character through my second character slot. From the combat profession I learnedthe specials and range of that profession. I learned which combat professions would complement each other as well as a Jedi padawan (add defence &accuracy) The Cu changed almost all aspects of what I learned.

I was ATK for the combat, not using a /cycleTargetOutward; /attack macro likeothers did, although I fell asleep many times waking to a dead or incapped character. I do admit the entertainer professions I macroed, I was playing my other character at the keyboard right next to this one.

I was right beside my guild mates working to support thier grind, I financed my own grind providing them with resources. I was the last to unlock because I helped them. I watched the screen next to me and felt the dissapointment when the profession was not the one , and was ecstatic when they did unlock. But all of this was my choice.

I do not consider myself an elitist, nor do I want to inhibit the progression of anyone else to make myself more rare.

I did not mean to imply the Hologrind could not have been done better. But for me maybe a few others, I gained valuable insite to the game and many professions I would have never otherwise mastered.

My opinion is the village, was justmy opinion, If anyone else found it to be fullfilling, I am happy to hear that. Everyone in this game finds pleasure in different places. Some find it within the content of the game, some find it within the Guilds or groups they play with, some find it flaming others here in the forums. To each their own.
