Ummmm... You mistake my post. One hit kills are not fun but a fourth gen saber shouldnever be outdamaged by blasters. and yes, slaughtering lesser powerfull professions should be boring for a Jedi. Killing other Jedi, Imperial Inquisitors if they are ever introduced, Nightsisters, Rancor, Krayt and other epic opponents would be more along the lines of appropriate targets for Jedi players.

Soulcaster, thanks for sticking your head up.

As a jedi-hunting BH, you really have to understand where I'm coming from. The investigation tree took me about two weeks of non-stop grinding in the summer (when I played like 8-15 hours a day, sometimes more). To say that we should lose boxes for losing against Jedi is insane.

We are supposed be lose to Jedi. 1.5x more powerful is what you guys are. You make up for the really powerful temp and the extra character by being hunted by other players, which should pose no threat to you if you know your temp and are a good PvPer. Trust me, I know.

There's nothing saying that the Jedi killed by Jango on the balcony in Ep2 is fully trained. He could have been someones newbie Padawan. Also, Grevious is a special case. He was once flesh but had his body replaced with cybernetics and was trained by Dooku.

According to starwars.com that Jedi was a Jedi MASTER

Grievous was rumored to have been a Jedi killer even before he became a cyborg. His world fought a world which the Jedi sided with, and he alludes to killing severl Jedi during that conflict, in which he was not a cyborg.

I totally agree, I just got mls and I still miss a bunch and barely do any dmg, becoming a jedi has made me want to quit this game... whats the deal with that?

Jedi and BH are the two profs that get the absolute most attention from the devs. Think about the Smuggler, Rangers, Commandos, and meelee profs that have never gotten any changes or tweaks to their profs.

No argument there. Tell you what, how about we take out every change to Jedi and BH done since the CU?

THEN NEVER EVER

TOUCH JEDI AGAIN

YES! Give attention to the OTHER professions. No doubt at least 97% of Jedi would agree with you that we've gotten WAAAAAY too much attention:

  • FRS removal

  • Saber Block(anyone remember this one? Oh, yeah, it's going to be in the FRS...)

  • PvE death xp loss removal(Supposedly, according to BH's this could have been gotten back in an hour anyway, so who cares?)

  • Force Sap

  • Avoid Incapacitation(Left-Right, andhere comes the uppercut)

  • Heal Speed

  • Force Speed

  • Doctor Speed(Wait, the DOCTORS got hit with that one, too)

  • Mind Costs

  • Action Costs

  • Force Costs

  • XP nerf(hehehe)

  • Ranged Defense

  • Cloak

  • LS required to be equipped when using force powers

  • Stasis(youKNOW it's coming)

  • Am I missing anything? Oh...we get robes with the new expansion. Robes, and 1 crystal with this and the last expansion each. I mean, we didn't have robes or special color crystals yet, did we?

  • Names removed from terminals(yet multiple BH's in the same guild coincidentally ganging up at the same time, :smileyvery-happy

  • Visibility in Groups(a CU requirement that took months to implement)

Tell you what. If you like, I'm PERFECTLY WILLING to have all that taken back for all the professions that have suffered through this time of having the devs only work on Jedi/BH. Take it ALL back, every last bit, and fix all the other professions before they even THINK of LOOKING at Jedi again.

No, it's not. That's what the myth is.

No; that USED to make up for it, but with all the recent nerfs, it means nothing now.

The same to every profession out there. Be a merchant with the rediculous vendor interface. Be a commando that does pathetic damage and agros everything in the area and have bad defenses against the masses coming at you. Be a smuggler; or a ranger; or a squad leader.

If it's so bad for THEM why haven't THEY quit? Smugglers have been complaining since DAY ONE. That's longer than Jedi have even been around. If it's that bad why don't THEY quit? If you were to ask one you'd probably get an answer that'd fit a Jedi or any OTHER profession person that still plays.

Everything I highlight is total BS, and you need to get over yourself, Jedi:

Learn how to grind invest, because apparently you don't have a clue how it's done if it took you weeks nonstop. What, were you just jamming a base terminal or 2 once every couple days or something?

No, it's not. That's what the myth is.

It's true. Deal with it.

It's true. Deal with it.

You need to get over yourself, BH. Pretend to deny it, most BH's do.

I for one am totally disgusted with the ridicilous solutions the game designers think of to solve even the most primary of problems of this game. It's unbelievable how wishy-washy the designers are when it comes to making play systems decisions. First cloak is for escape, then it's not and force run was for escape and now force run isnt for escape either? Come on now folks, lets take a look at what's really happening here and call it what it is.

Population control for Jedi.

The powers that be recognize that there are too many Jedi for the timeline (and gameplay system design)., so being a Jedi has to be discouraged. Well, if being a Jedi is awefull, then their numbers will dwindle right? WRONG! Regardless how bad being a Jedi sucks, people are going to want to swing a lightsaber because, for a good porton of the player-base, that's what Star Wars is about. So rather than take a proactive approach to dealing with what seems to be an unexpected problem, the designers make the play experience for that profession unrewarding, overly difficult and completely frustrating. Jedi *ARE* underpowered. Not to other characters but to what they should be. Jedi arent even one half as powerfull as they are protrayed in both the films and in the books. This is unacceptable.

"Well they unbalance the game!", you may say. Well here's some thoughts about that. Keep these in mind the next time you think about complaining that Jedi are too powerfull...

  • Lightsabers should sever limbs on a natural critical hit (i.e. crit hit using headhit (instant death due to decapitation), bodyhit (severed arm) or leg hit (severed leg)). .

  • Lightsabers should be the most powerfull weapon in the game (not laser rifles)

  • A BH may be able to kill a fledgling Jedi but NEVER a fully trained Jedi (neither Knight nor Padawan)

  • ("Nobody can kill a Jedi." - Young Anakin Skywalker / Qui-Gon replies, "I wish that were so." Clearly here we see that Jedi are VERY VERY hard to kill but neither are they invincible. However, they are NOT a normal Bounty Hunter target.

  • "The ability to destroy a planet is insignifigant next to the power of the Force." - Darth Vader

If Jedi were even close to being as powerfull as they should be then all of the above would apply. But it does not. Why? Simple, PvP. PvP is no fun when there is a super class that can out fight all the other classes. so heres some solutions off the top of my head (albiet not that thought out) that would change the dynamics of the system and allow Jedi to become as powerfull as they should be and still not cludge PvP. (choose what ya like from the list and discard the rest but any of these changes could drasticaly enhance they way the game is played for both BH and Jedi professions. First off the global change...

Jedi vs BH is obscene. It should be Jedi vs Sith. Everyone know's it's Jedi vs Sith not Jedi vs BH. There are T-Shirts all over the place with Jedi vs Sith on them and I have yet to see one T-Shirt, coffee mug, backpack orschool folder with "Jedi vs BH" and a picture of Obi-Wan and Jango printed on it. C'mon you SOE/LA marketing/design people, think before you act. Anyway, that being said, here's the rest of the incomplete list of stuff that would most likely make the game better for everyone.

  • BH's no longer have to hunt Jedi as their primary high-end content. BH's now have the ability to hunt any profession that fails a mission for Jabba the Hutt, Lady Valerian or the Empire.

  • If a BH loses a fight with a mark (Jedi or otherwise) he/she suffers a loss to their investigation xp and is unable to take player missions until that loss is recouperated.

  • During a fight with a Jedi, players and NPC's have a chance of having their limbs severed as a result of being struck with a lightsaber.

  • Jedi are removed from participation in the GCW ( I know this one is harsh but it's the only seeable way to preserve everyone elses play experience).

  • ALL Jedi (even Padawans) are divided into light and dark sides and are permantly overt to the oposing side (the combatant/special forces rules could still apply here).

  • For those players that wish to hunt Jedi regularly, the Imperial only profession of "Imperial Inquisitor" should be added. This profession should be as difficult to obtain as Jedi but should be equal in power. "Imperial Inquisitors" should be Force Sensitive as well as have the ability to wield such weapons as: Force Pikes andForce Lances as well as the ocassional lightsaber (although they should get no bonus for using a lightsaber since they are not a Jedi).

It's ludicris that BH's even think about hunting a fully trained Jedi. It's insane to see someone that isnt even wearing cortosis laiden armor take 20 plus direct hits with a lightsaber from someone that is supposed to be a "Lightsaber Master". It's ridiculous that Bounty Hunters have nothing to hunt at high-end except a class that should decimate them with relative ease, and it's unbelievable that a solution to this long standing and game destroying problem hasnt been implemented.

All this being said, there are a ton of creative ways that Jedi could be brought to being what it should be without ruining the play of others.
Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Maybe there should be limb removal type finishing moves when you hit your opponent before their incapped
