BH Correspondent for those whom don't know him or aren't observant enough to realize

SHHH! I'll assume he *meant* "sense"...

** Edit > NPC spawning is another story.... that's something your RL Jedi senses are suppose to tell you - comes from DAYS and days of playing an enchanter in EQ, learning the *exact* moment your mez will wear off... You learn to sense that - and feel it like an itch on your back.

Oh, thank you for setting me straight. I thought that you only needed Investigation 3 to pull Jedi bounties. hehe Explain to me why you care so much to come in here and post on something you know nothing about? Even your correspondent made an appearance. You aren't helpful, you have no idea or clue as to what you're talking about when it comes to Jedi.Tell me and everyone else why you troll and disrupt in hereif not to keep us weak and gimped?

I see by your post you are grinding to FS. Here's a thought... why don't you get it, play it and then come in here and actually contribute.

Look folks lets get facts straightened out about the way the droids work presently. They don't show up at all once they are launched they disapeer for good. After a while a waypoint is created but no droid shows up at that spot or anything all all. You want a 2 way TEF fine make us a red dot so we can blend in REALLY well out in the wilds. Be careful what you ask for you might get it. Are droids going to "show up" for Jedi's, I doubt it. Why adds things to the mix to create more bugs. Spider sense? You got a radar so there's your spider sense. Add in removal of permadeath, recovery of valuable resources on failures and a full Jedi revamp for the next 2 publishes 8, 9 and I think Jedi's are going to do just fine. However I also believe by that time there's going to be ALOT of Jedi's and pretty much nobody else. Galaxies mergers and other fun stuff. If Jedi is the end game all will go and the rest will leave. I don't think this spells out for a good long term life of SWG.

I've never flamed on a forum but please don't use the continuity as a valid argument. If we are talking about continuity, the only Jedis alive at the moment are Master Yoda, Luke, Darth Vader and The Emperor. Obi-Wan Kenobi (before his death)and Master Yoda are hiding, one in the middle of the desert and the other on that far away planet (can't remember the spelling).

You have the full right to ask for everything you want, but please don't talk about the continuity.

I've also noticed that you say "... we can avoide it/hide it.." (and that's ok) ".. or log out"->This is why they don't allow you to know that we're looking for you.. the brave Jedis will try to hide, or prepare for the battle, while the cowards will /logout.. now do you think this should be fair?

First, during this time period yes Luke, Yoda, Vader, Palpatine, Obi-Wan are the ones that we know of.. It would however be foolish to think that on the millions of planets that made up the old republic and the starwars universe in general, that others could not exist in tihs time and did not exist in this time.. Also there were probably a lot of people born during this time period that were force sensitive, just untrained in the Jedi arts.

Second, as i have said before a sense of impending danger when a BH droid reports our location is not unreasonable, in fact it sticks right in there with what a Jedi should be able to do, some would even say it's mandatory that we be able to sense danger. Now I'm gonna put this scenario to you, you pick up a Jedi bounty mission.. you run outside the city and launch your probe and head back to the starport and wait for the droid to report the Jedi's planet.. Your on Tatooine at this point, the droid finally reports back that the Jedi is on Dathomir, you sigh, buy your ticket to hop to Corellia and run on into see Threepio where he tells you that sorry, you have just missed the transport, so you wait 10 mins and finally load to corellia your phone rings you answer it and spend a few mins talking on the phone, so now you run out and buy the ticket to dathomir just to have threepio tell you that you have missed the transport yet again and have to wait another 7 mins. So you go outside smoke a cigarette and come back.. Finally your on Dathomir, you launch your seeker and wait yet again.. find that the Jedi is 10k Meters away from you.. so you pull out your bike and start heading to the waypoint just as your getting there and you spot the blip on the screen that is mostlikely the Jedi, he hops on his bike and takes off, so of course you chase after him... The Jedi takes his bike goes out over water well out of range of land and sits there, while you stare directly at him, he laughs at you and calls you an idiot and then does /quit. 2 mins later his character disappears from the game and now youve probably wasted an hour for nothing.

Now lets change that scenario, with the force sense active, you launch the probe and just as it reports back to you the location of the Jedi a message pops across the Jedi's screen "You sense a disturbance in the force" this Jedi happens to either be a chicken or just plain old doesnt feel like dealing with a pvp situation so he finishes his battle, runs over some place safe and does a /sit /logout, now since your smart and added this Jedi to your friends list, you see the message jedi has gone offline. Now you've not wasted that hour or so getting to the Jedi just to have him laugh at you and /quit in a safe spot.

Now Lets take the Scenario and change it even more, you launch the probe and just as it reports back to you the location of the Jedi, a message pops across the Jedi's screen "You sense a disturbance in the force", The Jedi goes ahh hell, i got on the BH terminals again, he then quickly finishes off the critters that he was killing and swaps out his PVE gear to his PVP gear and kicks back and waits for you to show up, you arrive and then 1 of 2 things happens he sends you back to the clone center and you curse the fact that you forgot to put on your 80% kinetic armor or he goes back to the clone centers and comes to the forumns to complain about his total lack of defenses, while you run off to spend your 150k credits and tell the tales of how you owned some Jedi.

You personally like many other BH's are just trying to force a player into a situation that they dont want to be in, by taking the mission your accepting whatever the outcome is, by getting notified that a BH is on thier trail a Jedi can then make the decision as to wether they want to be a part of that.

As a jedi you really don't need a sense that someone is looking for you. You should pretty much assume that is always the case. Looking over your shoulder should be part of your routine. Take nothing for granted, trust no one.

Your existance has been deemed illegal. The empire is out to get you. Bounty Hunters are given contracts to hunt you down and eliminate all jedi. A smart jedi is one that does not sit idle. To move is to survive.

Yes if this was real life perhaps you would be right, but this is a game, and should be relaxing, no matter what profession you are one should not have to sit there and pay close attention to every aspect of the game to know whats going on, it is very wearing, tiring and senseless.. The fact that you expect the PLAYER to do things that you yourself as a PLAYER do not do yourself is outrageous. Now for the character itself to help you look over your shoulder as you so put it, does make perfect sense, and sensing danger is very much part of the jedi character it should be in game.

It doesn't make since.

Actually Tanks, for a Correspondent you surely show a huge lack of intelligence. First off its Sense not SInce... Secondly the reason people do not see Nightsisters spawning on them as you so put it. The world does not pre-load, the Nightsisters are actually there already it just takes a few seconds for your CLIENT software to receive that information and report it back to you. All you are simply doing is talking about a game design flaw, and something that should be addressed, and actually something that has no relevance to this thread at all. It's no wonder that the BH Community is so poorly informed of whats happening with thier profession, and what is actually happening in the game... Perhaps I'll swap over to the BH profession just so i can legitimently go into the BH forumn and raise a stink about the way you conduct yourself and get a new Correspondent to take your place, I've actually seen a few BH's in this forumn that would probably do a far better job.

Look, all BH whining aside, it's a pretty simple concept that can be seen clearly if you ever watched the movies. Jedi can sense danger. Jedi can see into the future. It's as simple as that. Watch Episode 1 when Qui-gon is talking to Anakin's mother on Tatooine. He says "he can see things before they happen, it's a Jedi trait." So, logically speaking (and worthy of the big fat 1 star from the BH community), Jedi should be able to know you are hunting them when you use a droid to track them. They are in danger where they are from the moment you find out their whereabouts. Look at the scene in the bar in Ep II, Obi-wan pulls his lightsaber and cuts the BH without ever seeing her coming. His instinct is to defend (that would be nice to see in game) and his "danger sense" tells him that he is about to be attacked. This isn't rocket science, it's all there in clear unavoidable detail, you just have to be intelligent (or willing) enough to see it. It also makes perfect sense that if a droid is finding you, then you should see it track you down (and be able to attack and destroy it). Look at Ep V, Luke destroys an imperial probe droid. Duh, if something is tracking you, you're bound to be able to see and destroy it. Cloaking technology only existed in Star Trek.

And BTW -the droid QuiGonn did'nt sense was not from a BH - but from a Sith that was obviously masking his own presnece since tehy didnt sense Darth Maul, either...so there...lol

They did NOT sense the droid that carried the animals there. They sensed the little critters that were dropped off by the droid.

Actually, they sensed DANGER. Danger from a droid or danger from a living being, it makes no difference.
