Thread: Radical Suggestion to Limit those who choose to be Jedi.
either way it doesnt work. i would train everyone as much as i possibly could. however, if there were gates on how many people could be trained what do you tink will go on in the trade forums?
i have 400 mentor points for auction lot 1) 100 MP 1 million min, 10 million BO. lot 2) 100 MP 1m min 1om BO.....
of course the numbers would be based on supply and demand, but obvious there would be more demand then supply. premium pearls sell for over 6m on ahazi, a flawless just sold at a 16m BO. premium crystals are running around 3.5m or so. but these can be delayed, if you are in a group grinding you can wait until you get some cash to get a good saber, just usesaber hit, wont run out of force for a long time with a 25 FC saber. but if you need training and are xp capped, you CANNOT gain any xp until you get trained. thus prices will be crazy.

I must say that I would teach all fs that asks me.....
Which is why, to be of any effect as a population control, it would have to cost you to train someone.
Would you be willing to train someone if you had to regrind the exp for the box you were training? Howsabout if you needed "X" amount of Force Teaching exp to advance to the next tier of the FRS?
What I like about this idea is that it creates a death penalty for full template Jedi... no skill loss, but you can't train your padwan apprentice unless your sitting at positive exp.

This is probably one of the most fresh and interesting ideas I have ever read concerning Jedi control.
Ternque01 wrote:Interesting... If Jedi could control other Jedi through the new FRS, it would make A LOT of sense. That is EXACTLY what happened in the movies, and Jedi should do the exact same in the game!!!
LOL. It would open for griefing deluxe!
"I dont like you, so I dont teach you"
*you are ugly, I dont teach you"
*you are british, I dont teach you"
"I want to be the only one, so I dont teach you"
"I like being evil and nasty so I dont teach you"
"I just want to see you suffer and I want to supress you, so I dont teach you"
"I dont teach anyone unless they pay me 100 RL Dollars. In advance. Or I dont teach you"
Thats what we might get from this, if the players should limit themselves. NOT A GOOD IDEA AT ALL!
I think I would prefer that SOE removed the jedi completely before letting the jedi population control itself. Because, I dont trust you guys and gals. Will never do.

NO, there is another...
this idea will fail.. if there is not an NPC trainer then some skills will be lost for all time.....
sure it's a nice idea, but doomed to failure.

Loosing skill because of no NPC trainer is the least of our problems with such a system. The griefing we would see with such a system would be far worse. And believe me, we would seen it! Not to mention the bad blood between players this would highly possible create!
I know many players who are nice, and would indeed teach you. but for every 10 nice player, we would see some who would exploit it. Specially if the jedi is getting more unique, and very possible if the players indeed use this to reduce the number of jedi!!!!
I think we are far better off with our current system, even if that one have some flaws too.
NEW IDEA ADD ON TO THIS ONE plz read
i didnt read page 2 so this might have been said, As you know there is a voting terminal at the enclaves. Now if u catch a jedi doing this (heya pay me 100mill and ill trian u in novice LS) u may start a vote to exile them from jedi to start the vote simply SS when the retarded player tried to get money off a jedi hopeful who has been showing good "jediness"and charge the enclave can vote to exile him or punish(rank loss). Or for dark jedi simply cut there head off![]()
