Your own reply to this post shows that Jedi experience is gained through PVE, not pvp - Pre Knight.
So once again, you have what you want -PVE Jediexperience gains.
We do not have what we want PVP Jedi experience gains
The grind you describe is not what a PvE player look for when he is looking for an experience. Grinding is not an "experience", its a job. The only PvE experience throughout the become-a-jedi path was the Aurillia Village, the Padawan Trials and the Knight Trials. Safe for a few bugs, I enjoyedmost of it alot.
You just have a different idea what an experience is !
The oldest MMORPG for over 7 years has had PVP experience gains !
Many of those developers are the same ones who founded SWG design and have come to SWG since launch.
It seems like that, and it was becouse of that so many players left UO, and is now why so many players leave SWG. Thoose developers seems to start getting it, considering the changes in the GCW.
The system works there, the system can work here !
It didnt, it doesnt.
wrong again. It didn't work for those that didn't like that playstyle. It worked enough to keep the game going for over 7 years now!
So again if it's not your way it's not working ?
and as far as exploitable goes, all systems are exploitable.
should no system ever be put in since it can be exploitable?
Should armorsmithing be closed down because it's exploitable ?
Most of us dont care much when someone cheat himself, but we do not like people who cheat in competition. Thats when nerfs happens. Its also annoying when people cheat past their grinds, through using loopholes that you cant use when they are using them. Theese loopholes are sometimes fixed, but people are less likely to report them, and since they are not directly effecting someone else, they are not that urgent.
Furthermore, cheating in a PvE setting (such as passing stages in the Themeparks) is not what you may want to do, since doing the Themepark is your actualexperience. Cheating it only ruins your experience.
Ahh but Jemy we are playing Jedi closer to the real Jedi than one who wants to only PVE !

Does anyone else agree that the people complaining about forced jedi PVP really should have stuck with swordsman and the speed, accuracy and defense FS mods?
Does anyone else agree, that people with no intention of roleplaying a Jedi, based on the Jedi religion, should have stuck with Swordman?

Look, here's the bottom line. It's always been implied and known that the Jedi lifestyle would be hard. If you can't take the heat, get your arse out of the g-damn kitchen. Why the hell would you pick Jedi if you knew it didn't fit your playstyle? That's just like I pick up a religion knowing that I don't agree with their philosophies and then trying to change them into 2 groups where I can do my thing within that religion and they can do their thing within that religion. Sounds stupid, don't it? Why not just avoid picking up that religion and live how I want to anyways?
Your PVE proposals are half good, half stupid. What you want (Jemy) will lead to everyone having a Jedi with no worries, when it's clearly stated as a rule of this game that Jedi is supposed to be hard to attain and be more hardcore than the average player. I got a good idea to. Why stop at making them PVE only. Why not just make Jedi pickable from the start like a normal profession. They don't have to be a hardcore, challenge anymore. Make them for everyone!! And no, I haven't PVP'ed much in this game either, so I'm not a PVP'er. My beef comes from people who see the rules for something they don't like, yet go ahead and do anyways and then try to change the damn rules 'cause it don't cater to them. Why not just stay away and not worry about the rules to begin with, like anyone with intelligence would do. And if you accept the rules, then live with them.
This post is so simply wrong...
Why arent you reading what im writing instead of jumping to such horrible conclusions?
More than half of this post is made up on things taken from thin air.
Hah, first off this post is only based on theirrefutable fact that pre Knight jedi is forced PVE and to counter your original post that starts with the slandering of an entire gender and age group and then follows with your attitude of change the game for Jedi to be played my way nobody else's opinion matters !
Hence your next post further down where you dismiss *cough* the pvp'ers idea.
Yet again you and your cohorts fail to prove that I am wrong with Jedi pre - knight being Forced PVE !
Again there are pvp'ers who do roleplay.
As my post above is how I roleplay my "grind" of PVE.
Why is it that you do not want us pro - pvp players to have our "equal" option to play our way ?

You cant advance through PvP because its exploitable.
PVE isn't ?
. Which is why not everyone enjoys participating in it. An thus we come to reason people are asking for a PvE option.

the fact that jedi can be thrust intopvp at any time, with great risk to your character advancement, is what makes this prof one of the most exciting and challenging in all of SWG.
it is also a much needed control mechanism for the jedi population, as this high level of play is not for everyone.
take this away and you take away what makes levelingjedi so unique, difficult, and fun.

Nothing more to see here... move on...
it doesn't suprise me that you can't some up with a response to this.
good luck in your (IMO) misguided pursuit.
This is a PvP players idea of fun. This is his idea of what makes this exciting to him. Ofcourse, he doesnt get much sympathy among the PvE community since they arent interested in the same he is.

No sane person is going to grind Jedi just so they can roleplay. You can buy a 6k hooded cloak from the bazaar and roleplay being a Jedi. My point was that swordsman as it stands (pre CURB) is a profession better suited to PVE than Jedi. You may do less damage, but this is more than made up for by the fact that you can wear armour and psgs and don't have to manage a force bar or BH interruptions. If you chose Jedi for PVE then you chose the wrong profession.
No one forces you to do the grind, so Jedi "forced PVP" is a misnomer. No one is stopping you from dropping your Jedi skills and regrinding swordsman so that you can enjoy the very limited high end PVE content this game offers.
A bigger concern to me than letting Jedi PVE is to let non-Jedi PVP, which would be improved by allowing Jedi to go on leave from their faction and then only get targeted by other Jedi or BHs with their mission. This would mean that you would be "forced" into PVP less often and non-Jedi would be given less cause to gripe about our profession being overpowered.

the fun part for me is feeling the threat of a BH potentially creeping on me... i stay in the shadows... i am gripped running through the starport. i have to find creative ways to get my xp.
keeps me out of the public eye, as the system intends.

I am not a PvP player, and to agree to this argument you must be one yourself.

i'm not a pvp'er. i've just never been good at it.
this highlights the problem in most of your ideas, you make assumptions about the player base that are just plain wrong.
pve-player, pvp-player... enough with slapping labels on everyone!
