Bobba fett gave obi a very hard time and if he hadn't had his wits about him he would have been dead.

He died well after a ganking from that wendo dude and a beast with a bad temper.

I can say from that that f your not on your toes a BH should be able to kill a jedi cos its his/her job. All of their kit weapons and knowledge leads to killing jedi.

However - against a Krayt, a Rancor or a Garax they should suck.

What I dislike now though are these stalemate battles that seem to last for ages. Club Club CLub Club CLub - over and over and over.

I would like a stalemate option so you cant fight someone for more than ten minutes.

People don't hate jedi anymore than thet hate anything uber. People hate uber nations, they hate uber has-been nations. They just hate anything uber unless they are it.

(apart from me that is)

General Reason Are:

1) Most People who seek jedi are the 733t guys who and genaral are douche bags and moron. Icite the saber envy guy as an example.

2)Jedi are growing at an exponential rate and are ruining imersion

3) the general consensisof all jedi is that they should be so powerful no one can beat them which is stupid, and the call for nerfs by the jedi prof against others to gain this and even themselves.

4)in most GCW engagements regs are wipped out quick by the jedi and it ends up a jedi vs jedi duel

And as for jedi saving the game( guy who wrote that up top) the day the economy inflated, anch vs bestine died, etc. etc. all this died the day the holocrons were introduced, i saw my entire guild colapse from it so add that to a personal list of why i hate jedi.

That is a stereotype. And something you just choose to see. When the 733t guys are actually a small % of the overall Jedi.

2)Jedi are growing at an exponential rate and are ruining imersion

Immersion? LOL, I can name 30 other things that ruin immersion in this Star Wars game than Jedi.

3) the general consensisof all jedi is that they should be so powerful no one can beat them which is stupid, and the call for nerfs by the jedi prof

against others to gain this and even themselves.

That is not the general consensus. Again you close your mind to everything and only choose what you want to see out of hatred. I am sensing a trend here.

4)in most GCW engagements regs are wipped out quick by the jedi and it ends up a jedi vs jedi duel

There are way more things wrong with the GCW than Jedi. I hope they remove Jedi so i can see the wolves taresomething else down. Because that isnt the reason the GCW stinks.

So you blame Jedi, and not the instability of your guild? Rich!

hate jedi b/c they ruined the game. To keep italong the star wars line of realism Jedi have to be X amount strong. this X is supposed to beat all characters that are fully temped with the best gear. So realistically we are lucky b/c some people just suck but for the most part any person who knows how to game who has put the time in, to aquire items that only take time and a lil effort will end up recieving?? --> God mode. Want to own at SWG? practise, make credits to buy loot from vets b/c they always have what you need, tune Pearls you get from credits till you get them perfect. and wham you'll be the pwnage. Or just go to ebay and spend some money and have it there and all you need to do is Practice.

Get real bro Jedi did not Ruin this game, and we have been the objects of Dev hate for a year now. #1 excuse jedi ruined the Game, go grind a jedi then tell me how we ruined the Game, you want pwnage dont go jedi there are better options right now. oh Mr Crafter i guess its the Jedi's fault you do not have a CL, do you blame jedi for that and before you tell me to look at it from your side, i have 2 crafters 2 bh's, a master merchant. quit using Jedi as you excuse. the game is going down because the Dev's have no vision for this games future.

There is no real easy answer to the hate question. There are too many to list: too many jedi in number putting the current timeline off, too many elite-ists who are full of themselves and acting un-jedi like, too little content for both jedi and other professions, the alpha profession thing...the list goes on. When you get a game with so many frustrating core problems (bugs and balance issues of every kind) then it irritates everyone who plays and far too oftenpeople get flusteredwhen things dont gotheir way (example: a BH jumped me and we had a really equal fight lasting ages. In the end the BH lost through a KD bug and bitched at ME. Why **edit** at me? I didnt create the bug, nor did I attempt to exploit it).

Too often, the playerbase gets too hung up on oppinions, and end upfighting amongst themselves rather then arguing with the people that are truelyat fault. I dont think this is so much hatred of jedi, or hatred of the people behind jedi. Its a vent at the frustrations the game throws at people.

Remember this: BH, Jedi, Rifleman, MCM, we all PLAY (yes, play, not create, play) the same damn game! if you want to hate, then direct your hatred towards the people at fault!

Dude its one acurate stereotype look at jedi who post here. When you start calling for nerf against your own kind to get more powerful. i used my guild as an example this is how most of the old guilds broke up holcron grind and people stopped talking.

Exactly. This Jedi scapegoat crap is the typical human finger pointing. When they have nothing else to lose, lets blame the most Iconic figures of Star Wars which makes it what it is.

And the problem is the Devs have their own "hollier than thou" vision, when they should be having George Lucas' Vision.

And who's fault is that? Jedi (rofl just a ficitonal character) or the instability of a guild and its members?

My selection is on the latter.

no one cares about my other options

I bet more than half of jedi would choose other "end game" type path if there was one. Especially if they could be mandalorian, have a Hutt toon, an Ewok, Jawa or other rare species

The ManDo Brothers {MDB}R.I.P
SkinnyManDo and FatManDo

32 holo grind is in no way faster man, I know thats what stopped people from going jedi, they use to tell me i was crazy for doing it, but after village came out, guess what? they are jedi

Agree.

With 32 profession, it not only required time, it required quite a bit of credits for resources/ weapons/ etc.....

At least then you were forced to explore some of this game's content before you start your jedi grind. Now, all you have to do is become FS and grind your way to jedi. I've had new players ask me what's the fastest way to jedi; and w/ good reason too. Who doesn't want a second slot? And who wouldn't mind going jedi now?

You were at least forced to explore the game's different professions, all you need now is MBH, Master X combat profession, 4000 CM and you're good on capping XP on multiple weapons saving many trips.

I have to point out that based on somebody who started in December '03, I too did SOME of the Hologrind. To be specific:

  • Holo 1: Teras Kasi - Took me as a casual player 3 play sessions (Call it 7 hours)

  • Holo 2: Merchant - Longest one of the bunch - Took me 8 days. Amazing what selling ultra cheap goods did for rapid business. Also, having a Guild that entered my shop constantly paying the 1cpu repeatedly also helped.

  • Holo 3: Weaponsmith - Took me all of 3 days of constant manufacturing.

At that point, I stopped because I found I enjoyed the WS profession. Never bothered grinding another thing out because of that. But the point IS, look at the minimal time investment - That was a LONG grind? I quite literally after I dropped WS ground out Swordsman in another 3 days. Worst case scenario my 4th Holo would have been CH, BH or Ranger - And seriously, those weren't that long a grind either.

THEN the Village came out. Even WITH my free unlocks, I as a casual player didn't manage to get through the Village until the day before the CU. (April 23, 2005) And then again, AS a casual player - I still (Despite Double XP) am not quite Fully Temped. I suppose I COULD have AFKed the Trails and used the Respec upping..

Having experienced both, I rather preferred the Holo system within the Pre CU environment - I fully believe had I not paused to be a WS, i would have been a Jedi LONG befor the CU came.

Phael'yn Maxlord
- I support Common Sense - Too bad it's in short supply.

Quote that sums up the current, flawed direction of SWG:
"No, I do everything solo and I see no reason why I should need anyone else"

A way to bring Combatant and Crafter together.
