Thread: Premium Pearls Clarification from Stratics HoC (Sept 21st)

Their statement means that what you have now you can keep at the very least until premium pearls are reintroduced. At that point, they "might" take away the pearls you currently have. I see that as being very unlikely, but it gives them enough leeway to make changes to their decision.
I assume that when premiums come back again, every single pearl and crystal in the game will be given exactly the same stats; let's say for the sake of argument 50/50 -5FC....a pretty average pearl. But that's enough to give everyone in the game a 460 damage saber and let them head out to see where they can hunt premiums.
Therefore, the status quo exists until premiums come back. Old pearls might stay after that, might not....nobody knows.

Sorry Baciacca but this isn't the clarification we needed. I'm sure everyone already knows what "interim" means, we're not children (well, not all of us anyway.)
The question that's unanswered IMO is, what will happen to premium pearls after that interim period?
Can you get any official word on that?

it's the exact meaning of "interim", what's the point?
The devs were clear this time. Now patience is our ally ... and apowerful ally it is for us playing swg

Bac, I must ask - Is your post backed up by something that was said on the Correspondent forum (Or to you personally), or is this merely YOUR take on it?We have to face it - SOE has in the past, and will continue in the future to play word games. You point out the usage of the word "Interim". What about the usage of the word "Old"?Perhaps it's easily forgotten that Premium Pearls were first identified as a "Problem with the loot table" - Only later did we find out this actually meant "We took them out on purpose".THIS is why people have theories of conspiracy - It's been displayed in the past that in certain circumstances, what SOE SAYS and what SOE *DOES* are not exactly compatible.
Agree 100%.... they tell us one thing, then do another...
It's so sad. People are so desperate for any scrap of communication from anyone with a red name that they spend weeks arguing over what the word "interem" means in the context that it was used.
The developers really need to be a lot more open and honest with their customers. Every SW:G Customer knows that when the developers get secretive about stuff, it usually means mega-nerfs or mega-let-downs are on the horizon.
Only a red name who has buried their head in the sand for the past two years could possibly believe that being "secretive" and springing "surprises" on the player-base could be a good thing at this point. (sigh)
