Let me ask this....walking passed an NPC or another player while cloaked...will that casue visibility?

- yes, Force Cloak has an upkeep Force cost. If your Force bar moves, you get visibility.

And if you are in your private house meditating and a player walks by house, within 32m of you, does that cause visibility?

- yes, walls do not block visibility line-of-sight

I haven't read the full post, but I think that you all should know this as well...

if you use any force power within 32 meters of a player corpse, you will still gain vis.

not sure if you get vis from dead npcs laying there, but I know for a fact that you do from a player who is a corpse laying there-this was confirmed through a ticket btw-answer was Working as intended lol.

Here's one I haven't seen on the forums, but several older Jedi told me this in-game:

- The act of training another player in Jedi skills, grouped or not, generates visibility for both the trainer and student... even if there are no other characters within visibility range.
- Getting trained by the NPC trainer does not generate visibility.

Could someone confirm this rumor?

I'm fairly sure Pre-CU this was not the case, Post-CU . . . /shrug.

I was told that tuning crystals in from of any type of NPC generated visability.

When first becoming a jedi I have been told there is a grace period of 1 week before you will show up on terminals even if you have accrued vis. I have also been told that you will not show up on terms until after the first time you have 40 or more skill points in a jedi proffesion/s..... but going back below this does not reverse it.

robes do not give you vis, neither does sabers, ive had my robe and saber equipped 90% of the time since i unlocked and ive only been hunted when i decided to grp grind(pre pub 20) or do a quest.

Battle is like Life, no shortcuts to sucess. Some times a new path appears where none was visible before. In this respect, such things as a secret to fighting may not exist at all.

ok all this is from pre CU but equipting and un equipting gives vis from any player npc or vender. having a LS equipt around others does nothing for visibilitie untill the blade is out then u start to get it so u dont wana have your saber out around things that are agro when near players.

Equipping or Unequiping a Saber or Robes within 32 meters of a PC or NPC gives visability. Already having them equipped does NOT give vis, just equipping them or unequiping them within 32 meters.

Tuning a crystal or pearl within 32 meters of a PC or NPC gives visability.

Using any force power, or having an ignited saber within 32 meters of a PC or NPC gives visability.

NPCs that give visability are any NPCs that are sentient or are called 'character' on the radar. It is unknown if certain creatures that are sentient in the canon but still treated as monsters in SWG, such as Rancors, give visability.

I've noticed a lot of people keep talking about how robes do not give vis, but how can we be sure? I thought since the new patch that added a robe buff icon to the toolbar that the rules may have changed somewhat. I think the only definitive answer we could get on this one would be from a Dev.

I have a question. Has anyone done any extensive post-CU vis testing with their friends? Just curious.

heres the rules,if it uses force it can give you vis, providing you're within 32m of an NPC or another player, equipping your saber within 32m does, equipping your robe doesnt..thats pretty much it,follow those rules and you cant go wrong
