to get surveying, just have your macro do the following

/sample;/pause 5;/stand;/sit;/pause 25;/stand;/ui action toolbarSlotxx

The pop up events won't mess up your sampling the next time you sample.

Weaponsmith: Get to Firearms I and do projectile rifle barrells in practice mode for the whole profession

Grind to munition 2 and then do heavy warhead mechanism all the way (700xp for heavy warhead mechanism vs 94 xp for projectile rifle barrel).

it should be blaster rifle barrel for 120 exp, only 53 metal and 5 crystaline gemstone... why is this faster? b/c heavy uses factory components, which takes more time for you to grind 6 blaster rifle barrel

About the Armorsmith changing to Ubese Shirts for less xp. This is why....

Mabari chest you need armorweave segment and 3 identical synthetic cloths not to mention all the other stuff. Its a super resources hog.

Put 3 harvestors up.. One on fiberplast, One on Iron, and One one Steel I think.. (cant recall but its three) and your good until your master. No factory runs, no need to make thousands of synths and armorweave segments. Just visit your hopper(s) if you put more up and your flying through armorsmith without the hastle of mabari chest.

It is very possible that the bug was fixed, and you can no longer do it. I never tried it myself, since Merchant wasn't any of my holos yet. Of course, with my luck, it will be my next one.

OK, a question that will seem foolish to all of you macro-ing gurus out there. I am grinding my way to Master Swordsman. If I want to create a macro that runs over night (whilst visions of Krayt Pearls dance in my head) on a loop to build XP, where exactly do I 'leave' my character runing this macro? Do I just set it up near a Gorg Warren and hope that enough foolish creatures wander into my blade's path? I guess I am not understanding how endless streams of creatures are going to come running to their deaths in order for this tactic to work.

Please enlighten me!

There is a better thread out there that contains the amount of supplies needed for all the crafting professions.

Also, on the merchant exploit, they don't need to click, they can just set something heavy on their enter key and walk away.

There are noob areas that static spawn mobs outside of most starting cities like Mos Eisley, Coronet and Theed. You don't get a lot of XP per kill, but it adds up fast overnight and the mobs just keep on spawning and you'll never have to worry about getting killed. Plus, there are combat macros out there. Not sure, but it's something like this:

/ui action targetself;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
/pause 5; (this will give you brawlers time to get close to the target - adjust as needed)
/attack;
/pause 20; (adjust as needed for tha amount of time it takes you to kill the mobs)
/harvest bone; (or hide or whatever if you want. you can leave this step out)
/sit;
/pause 30; (to heal from any damage you took)
/stand;
/ui action toolbarSlot00; (or whatever spot you want to put the macro in your toolbar)

Animi, this is a consolidation of tht thread. Although some resources were mentioned, in many cases it was not very precise. I don't have enough experience with some of them to make a guess. If someone wants to supply the numbers, I would be happy to include them.

Entertainer: Have a friend/alt account with basic Medic use /tend as much as possible to generate healing xp. Dancing xp is calculated for one flourish every 10 seconds, musician one flurry every 5. Macro flourishing, with pauses for tending your action damage if needed. Can also use a high-regen food like Tat. Sunburn to keep action up. If possible, get a combat medic to do a mind disease on all of your listeners/watchers. Boosts healing xp tremendously.

Just wanted to add to this, since I've been in the cantina for about 9-10 days straight.

Musicians/Dancers: Perform a flourish once every 8-9 seconds. I have found NO evidence of getting more XP if you perform a macro once every 4-5 seconds as a musician. If you really want to grind this out without help, get at least novice medic and a crate of stims, join a large group (+15 players), and sit back and watch Two Towers Extended Edition for 4 straight days. You'll never get kicked off for being AFK, minus server restarts and hiccups. Here's the macro:

/join; (just in case your'e booted from a group and invited to another one while you're afk)
/ui action toolbarSlotXX; (this should be where you place the macro of the BEST song you can play)
/flourish 1;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>; (this is where you put your name, explanation explained below)
/ui action toolbarSlotXX;
/flourish 2;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX;
/flourish 3;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX;
/flourish 4;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX;
/flourish 5;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX;
/flourish 6;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX;
/flourish 7;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/flourish 8;
/pause 8;
/healdamage <yourNameHere>;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX; (this needs to be the spot where you put this macro for looping purposes)

The reason for having your name after heal damage is quite simple. If you accidentally target something/someone else then you're going to heal that person/thing instead.

Image Designer: This one is very easy. Grab a friend or second character on the server and dedicate 3-6 hours to this. You'll need either a secondary stat mind buff from a musician and a mind buff from a dancer OR Moun Gold (drugs)and Angerian Fishak Surprise (food). Some folks will say, "do Frills, they give tons of XP at no mind". Um, that's an exploit buddy, I wouldn't want to get caught doing that. Take the safe route and do hair color. "Hair color, but that's only 50 XP, it'll take forever!". No it won't! With Moun and Fishak, it only costs you 18 mind to do it. That means before the drugs and food wear off, you can rack up at least 15k XP! That adds up to more XP in a round of drugs/food than the higher XP per change route, trust me on this. Here's the macro:

/image;
/imagedesignSetValue hair_color 0;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX; (where you put this macro on your toolbar)

Music / Dancer -

The correct macro is:

/join; /healdamage self; /pause 8; /healdamage self; /pause 5;

/startmusic (highest song you can play);

/flourish 1; /flourish 2; /pause 10; <-----Repeat this line about 8 times, change around the flourishes a bit to your taste.

/ui action toolbarSlot00;

Put this macro in the first toolbar slot. Change /startmusic to /startdance for Dancer. Go straight up the Music Knowledge line. Always play the highest instrument you can, except the Ommni Box, which you have to be targetting. The Chindinkaloo works great. Same for dancer, go straight up the Dancin Knowledge line.
