no way no more forced pvp. Thats it ive finally figured out why some people love force pvp so much, and its the same ones i see over and over in every post regarding this subject. No body wants to play with you so you want SOE to force us all to have to play with you. Im sorry you have no online friends either. And pre-cu sucked there was no tactics in it at all. Everyone that pvp had the exact same HAM bar with mind pushed out to the max and all uber doc buffed up all spamming basically the same mind hit over and over. It was brainless maybe thats why some of you really want it back so bad.

Hate that it comes to this but I have to say that you are a twit,Now I understand why you are so scared to PvP.You dont have a clue.Pre-cu you had posture changes,KD that you didnt just have to tap a button to recover from, states that actually worked etc.You were probably one of the whiners who cried about how strong Jedi weere too werent you?I always found it amusing that people screamed we were too strong and yet I had about a 75% win rate over Jedi with a regular profession and no DOTS or exceptional weapons.

Yes there were the crazy DOTS pre cu but putting that aside to say that pre cu pvp was brainless just shows you didnt know what the hell you were doing.Everyone had the same HAM Bar?????WTH do we have now? Did I miss something?Of course we PvPers were buffed as was everyone else.It was just part of the sysytem.Let me guess you never used buffs right?

"Nobody wants to play with you....." shows that you are just being bitter and acting like a childish ass.If anyone is trying to force anything it is you trying to force your standards down everyones throat whenwe already have a system in place that works just fine.If anything it should be made more severe.

Once again it is not forced pvp.you consented when you chose Jedi.If you don't like it there a little delete button for your Jedo or put him/her into retirement.

Your whining is about as pathetic as an NFL player who would whine to the league because a player from another team hit him too hard.He consented when he joined the league knowing all to well he was going to be physically punished playing the game.

Stop calling it harrassment and call it what it is...fear and childishness. Please take your ball and go home now.

Most of us were jedi pre CU and we had strength and not this paper stone sissors Scat!

I think we should get rid of forced PvP completely.

and Saber TEF is plain and simple stupid, since it opens completely up for Harassment. Thats part of the reason why they did remove it in the first place!!

jedi is now not as strong as it was. BHs I easy won over earlier, I am now frequently loosing to. And im using my same tactic as earlier. I still win tho, but thats usually against new and unexperienced BHs. Thatd why we should get rid of the Forced PvP! And it also ruins my gameplay, spoiling all my quests and missions. Its very difficult to protect myself against 1 BH and 2 Nightsisters at the same time! One time I had a NS elder and NS Ranger + a BH on me at the same time outside NS Stronghold. Tried to run away from the NSs, but the total damage made it very difficult getting away, specially when the BHs root etc.

We have now come to a point SOE needs to think of if they should remove the Forced PvP. I did not go jedi to get a free unlock. I went jedi, because thats what I want to play. But its difficult and not fun, when BHs are ruining my play. My missions. and my quests.

you get a free alt, do quests on him if you dont want to not be hunted.

They can very much claim that free character back, because, you see. I did not go jedi for the free character, but for the jedi!!

When it comes to the reward vs risk. What reward do we have excpet the free character??? No, I think they should remove the free character and then remove the Jedu bounty PvP. Like its now, its unfair!

im not a active pvper but i have to agree that pvp SHOULD be forced on jedi like it always has it is part of the proff and im in favor of keeping it this way...

I would agree with you if we had a better chance to win against the BHs. We are now very much balanced with the BHs, but Im often commited in a battle already when a BH strike, so I dont have only the BH against me, but also NS or a krayt.

Right now Forced PvP is a joke. A free character is not worth it just to be ganked often when a BH hits around. And each time you loose like 500k of XP.

I think they should make jedi just as strong as any other elite profession. But keep the way getting it as "hard" as it is today. There should not be any free character slot either. And Not any BH and xp loss. Just another elite character you have to strive very hard for compared to getting a ordinary Elite profession. It will increase the fun of being jedi. It will also be less hatred to jedi because you will just be as strong as them, and with no forced PvP, you are free to chose your own time for doing PvP, and not when you are busy doing Quests or missions, or eventually in a ingame wedding.. Because that desroys the fun in the game!!!

that part is what i dont understand in my guild we have some people with crappy sabers compared to many others but they still dont have a problem facing a bh,they dont run either they stand and fight even the best bh on chim get killed by them,i think the problem here is that people need to learn theire template better imo....

Don't you see nic, jedi lose there power everytime we lose some risk. If there is no risk and not any forced pvp there is no reason for us to be able to rip someone apart with a higher damage. When jedi could be attack anytime someone saw there saber, we were powerful. It is a balance and the more we ask to take out forced pvp on a jedi the weaker we become.

Jedi lose power because the population increases, the reduction in risk is a side effect. An alpha class with an extremely low population can get away with 10X power, the more common it becomes the closer it moves to 1X power. Asking for increased penalties will not bring increased power.

especially when everyone ends up being one. Once everyone has one guess what? we will all be only 1x stronger than everyone else except for the noobs that will be working on getting a jedi. This is star wars and most players will want to become jedi. When a brand new player happens to cross my path guess what the first question they ask me is? Bet you can guess "how do i become a jedi?" or "what badges do i need to become a jedi" It has nothing to do with people asking for changes in the profession it has everything to do with people wanting to be a jedi because this game carries the name of STAR WARS. Make a new alpha profession that has nothing to do with jedi and i bet it wouldnt be desired by many and it would remain alpha because it is rare.

but... if they enforce the fact that jedi are to be hunted, get saber tefs and so on that discourages alot of people from going for jedi and also leads to less of them being seen, so increased power is an option.

Think of what is going to happenwhen everyone ends up being a jedi. And as the population continues to increase and increase as youve seen happening then there will be no point at all to have any content in this game what so ever because the way the current system is, we would all just be pvping all the time non-stop every where. Add more forced pvp and it would only be worse. Might as well just make each planet an open battle field with no npc's where we can just have it out with each other all day. It would get pretty boring pretty quick. There ends up being no stroy line, no plot, nothing to keep peoples focus when there is nothing to do but pvp. It will turn this game into a twisted star wars version of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat online. Thats why pvp should just be a little added bonus to this game for those that want to compete. it should never be the main focus of any aspect of this game. If we had more quest style content that demanded that our profession should be more powerful then we would be. Its all because of pvp and the idea of leveling the playing field is why the jedi profession is what it is now. Think of street fighter and mortal kombat. Every fighter in those games is basically just as powerfull as the next just with special moves. Is that really what we want this game to become a Star Wars version of street fighter?

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

How many people are willing to do that? Its already to late to make jedi rare. Now to save the game we need to think of a change to move in a positive direction to keep the game fresh, alive, story driven, quest driven, plot driven. PVP has absolutely no plot. Its not fresh. Its not story driven. Its old and tired. Its nothing more than street fighter online as ive said. If you want to keep this game alive we need to move away from pvp being the focus.

the way i look at it, you can make people play their jedi less, like i play mine alot less now, simply because my non jedi is more effective in pretty much every way, so its working.

Increase the penalties for jedi, say more bhs, skill loss, saber tef and people will play their jedi less and so less jedi are seen. You cant make jedi rare again, but you can make it so that they are seen a hell of alot less.

but... if they enforce the fact that jedi are to be hunted, get saber tefs and so on that discourages alot of people from going for jedi and also leads to less of them being seen, so increased power is an option.

There are too many finished template jedi around to allow that much of an increase in power. Saber tef means bh lead gank squads. There is no chance whatsoever the devs will give jedi enough power to compete against an 8 player group. The only way for that to happen if for jedi to disappear first. Ask yourself, are you willing to delete your jedi and never create a new one so that someone else's will be more powerful? Until nine out of ten jedi answer yes we won't see a power increase outside of the limited terrain of the FRS. Asking for increased risk will only bring increased risk.

When a brand new player happens to cross my path guess what the first question they ask me is? that is correct its too late to roll back now. So now we just need to move forward with something new to keep this game alive and fun. We cant revisit what has already been laid to rest.

We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

lets go back, patch 9, there wernt that many jedi, because there was saber TEF, skill loss, you got hunted, and to get jedi you had to grind alot of proffessions, and jedi were rare.

Make jedi hard to get, hard to level and hard to play and you wont see everyone as a jedi.

Oh and its not forced pvp, you agree to the pvp when you get the glowbat just like you agree to pvp when you go overt.

but doesnt that idea go right along with "make jedi rare except mine" Its way way to late for that now. And have you ever read those posts about deleting your jedi for the good of the game? How many people are willing to do that? Its already to late to make jedi rare. Now to save the game we need to think of a change to move in a positive direction to keep the game fresh, alive, story driven, quest driven, plot driven. PVP has absolutely no plot. Its not fresh. Its not story driven.

Weve already had that. and what did people do? they asked for it to go away and it has. There was is definately a reason why its gone.

no way no more forced pvp.

Please take your ball and go home now.

did i strike a nerve for you. Did i hit pretty close to home and thats why you are so upset?

Not in the least.Your comment was moronic and nothing but the rantings af someone who can't get their "I win" button and apparently is clueless,What server are you on again?Maybe I'll come over and group with you and follow you around so I can see the 456 BH a day that are "harrassing" you.I'll even give you a class on how to survive.

As someone else stated maybe 1% of your game time is spent in dealing with BH attacks and even that is too much for you.My total IG time spent indealing with BH amouts to about 2.5 hours. Two hours of which were one attack that covered 4 planets and was very fun as we were roleplaying.I could have ended it in 20 seconds if I had wanted to because I take responsability for myself and could have ran and went to a safe house.(heres a little tip for you.Keep your map up and watch it.You can examine the player approaching and since theyve made it even easier for you,if he doesnt have a MBH in his bio then hes not after you.)

Just curious but I'm guessing you are full temp????Could you explain to me how you made through the horrible "forced PvP" system" all of the way to full template?

- I support keeping & balancing the original combat system You can too

This thread makes me sick. All you cry babies that complain about forced PVP are ruining the profession.

Why not PVP? Dont want your feelings hurt if you die? Big f'ing deal.

If the FRS doesnt include perma-overt I'm done. I'm tired of you people.
