Right now its 30% for the amount of damage mitigated.

I have to say this is the nitty gritty for me. How much force does it use? 1 force per 3 damage? 5 damage? 10 damage?
I realise that its not for tanking, but to turn it on and know that you have a couple of minutes usable protection is great, rather than 3 shots and u have no force...
That means, if you take 1000 damage...
45% of 1000 damage = 450 damage is mitigated by force armor
30% of 450 = 135 force.
Simply by the force armor change to Innate Armor will make force armor take place after pvp damage and further reduced by your "+20" innate armor you got when you became Jedi Initiate.
20+45=6500 armor
6500 armor = 50% (of which Force Armor makes up 30%)
If you take 1000 damage
-35% pvp reduction of 1000 = 650 damage
30% of 650 damage = 195 damage mitigated by force armor
30% of 195 = 59 force.
This is still not even close in comparision with heals, but hopefully the old 30% value is reduced too.

I actually do wish i was a dev. Not to be cocky in any way, but i've studied Computer Games Design at Degree level and i have to say, my friends and I could put these guys to shame in terms of concepts. Hell, id go as far as to challenge them for their jobs if i thought they would have the bottle to take me up on it.
Anyway

MsNil, pre-CU foods did not come before Force Armor as you state. Force Armor damage reduction allways came before food damage reduction was applied. So if you ate synthsteak it mitgated the damage after force armor...

weapons damage is a fixed amount. whether it is a bug or not dunno but a weapon using the most basic attack will ALWAYS deal the average of the min and max values.
go get your favorite target-boy and start plinking away with any weapon using the most basic attack and you will never see a fluctuation in damage. a weapon that has a damage range of 450-900 will always hit for 675... dunno if it is intended or something is not working but damage for all specials with a given weapon are static amounts.

EXCELLENT post! Now I just have to wait for it to go live and see how force intensiveIA is. I've been saving my token respec so I'll need to decide if 4240 Defender and no Force Armor is the way to go for conserving force or if 2040 Defender and x4xx Enhancer will be efficient enough to use ALL the time.

There is something to be said about the direct approach

Ok if I have no defender and use improved FA how much will that reduce (in percent). Does improved FA add 40 innate armor then you add the +20 innate armor at initiate? I have not had ANY armor since i became jedi and im not really good with armor numbers now... if only they stuck to how much it reduced rather then 4000 armor...

its force armour it shouldnt be able to be used all the time. hence why defender armour is innate and is used all the time
