I love reading your posts and trying to figure out how little I know about this game.

20+22+25=67. That's about 52% or very close to that.

What about someone with 4040 defender and fa1 what would that put them at?
hmm I may trade 0200 healer for 0200 enhancer depending on the force cost. Thanks for the info Very nice post

Ah. Hm.

No, no, you misunderstand me. Master defender unbroken = 7000 armour. Armourbreak will be cutting a defender by 65% which would leave 2450 armour. Now with that being said, FA2 should then push a BROKEN defender back up 6950 armour, or basically where we started. That is the question i am asking.
Im well aware that a unbroken master defender would only move from 7000 to 10000, but its the borken defender im really interesting in. If my numbers are right and FA2 does work like this, i for one will be very intersted in that move...
I actually believe that armor is recalculated before Armor Break, and that armor break is recalculated after it caps... That would be more efficient code, but problematic in such extreme circumstances.
Thanks. It feels good when it's you saying that. ^_^

You know even though I don't agree with many of your posts I still respect the fact that you stand up for your ideas. If you didn't post who would I have to argue with and exchange playful banter? ![]()
True... true...

Great info MsNil, thanks for taking the time to put it together!
With the force cost changes to Powers, I'm considering taking up the Force Armor line. The deciding factor for myself and a lot of others will be actual force cost-per damage received. Would you be able to track down some Jedi on TC for testing this?
It would also be nice to see some info (ie numbers) on what changes are coming to healing, in terms of costs and timers.
I have no TC contacts right now, but be lest assured I will give this an outthrough testing once it goes live, together with everything else that got changed. will post it in the FAQ thread.

I have to say this is the nitty gritty for me. How much force does it use? 1 force per 3 damage? 5 damage? 10 damage?
I realise that its not for tanking, but to turn it on and know that you have a couple of minutes usable protection is great, rather than 3 shots and u have no force...

Force Armor in Publish 19
This is an attempt to clear up the confusion regarding what the "Force Armor" changes in Publish 19 is about.
Important:
* All values in this guide takes pre-mitigated armor in consideration. For example, +30% mitigation is 20+30=50%.
* Will be upgraded with actual forcecosts later.
* Armor with forcecost is not meant for tanking. If you want to tank; be a Defender.
Upgrade Notes
Test Center
Version 0.124821* Force Armor - Now adds to your Jedi Innate Jedi Armor
* Force Armor - Takes a substantial less amount of Force per incoming damage
Innate Armor to %
Our armor right now:
* 20% mitigation from Jedi Initiate
* +32,5% mitigation as Master DefenderWhat "Innate Armor" means for us in short:
* Capped at "100"=60%
* Force Armor now gives +30% mitigation for Enhancers
* Force Armor now gives +7,5%* mitigation for Master Defender
* Force Armor is now vulnerable to Armor Break.
* This is capped at 60%Armor Conversion:
Innate Armor is capped at 100.
1000 = 10.5%
2000 = 20.0%
3000 = 28.5%
4000 = 36.0%
5000 = 42.5%
6000 = 48.0%
7000 = 52.5%
8000 = 56.0%
9000 = 58.5%
10000 = 60%
Force Cost Reduction
Theese values are estimated simply by taking the change to "Innate Armor" in precaution using the old 30% forcecost value.
The real cost will probably be even lower.% force for damage taken:
Before Publish 19: 13,5% force in pve/13,5% force in pvp.
Publish 19: No more than 9% in pve/5,85% in pvp.The reduction is at least -33% in pve/-36% in pvp.
Will upgrade this part when I know how much the 30% value was reduced.
History of Jedi Armor
Force Armor pre CU
Order of Mitigation:
1. PvP Reduction (75%)
2. Lightsaber Toughness (55% for Master Lightsaber)
3. Jedi Toughness (45% for Master Defender)

5. Force ArmorTotal Enhancer (With MLS): 75%* (55% LS Toughness/45% Force Armor)
Total Defender (With MLS): 75%* (55% LS Toughness/45% Jedi Toughness)
Total Defender+Enhancer (With MLS): 86%* (55% LS Toughness/45% Jedi Toughness/45% Force Armor)Force Cost: A Master Lightsaber Jedi payed 6%* force in pve/1,5%* force in pvp.
* Theese are recalculated values taking previous mitigation in consideration.
Force Armor post CU
Order of Mitigation:
1. Force Armor (45%)
2. Defense mitigation (See bottom of page)
3. Innate Armor (+20=20%) + Food MitigationTotal Enhancer: 56%* (+36%) (+20 innate armor/45% Force Armor)
Total Defender: 52,5%* (+32,5%)(+70 Innate Armor)
Total Defender+Enhancer: 74%* (+54%) (+70 innate armor)Force Cost: A Jedi payed 13,5%* force in pve/13,5%* force in pvp.
* Theese are recalculated values taking previous mitigation in consideration.
Force Armor Publish 19
Order:
1. Defense Mitigation (See bottom of page)
2. Innate Armor (+20=20%) + Food Mitigation + Force Armor (+45=30%)Total Enhancer: 50%* (+30%) (+20 Innate Armor/+45 Innate Armor)

*capped at 100Force Cost: Unknown, but no more than 9% in pve/5,85% in pvp.
* Theese are recalculated values taking previous mitigation in consideration.
Defense Mitigation
It was said a great difference between defense vs accuracy would mean a difference to damage.
Well, this difference was not as direct as people thought it would be.
A high difference vs accuracy/defense, or level difference, increase/reduce damage range.
Even a very high (700+) difference may give only a few points of difference. It all depends on the weapon used.
Damage Range?
Damage Range is the difference between minimum damage and max damage. For example, my Lightsaber do 482-578 damage. In a case when the defense vs accuracy is very close, I will do "578" damage. But the further defense above my accuracy, the further that value be moved towards 482. Defense can mitigate up to 16% from my Lightsaber.
A weapon with a long range, such as Advanced Laser Rifle, have greater potential to be mitigated. Take this one for example: 472-977
Defense alone can mitigate up to 48% against this weapon.Message Edited by MsNiL on 06-22-2005 01:47 PM
And if you want to be a Jedi play another game ...........ummm
Right now its 30% for the amount of damage mitigated.

I realise that its not for tanking, but to turn it on and know that you have a couple of minutes usable protection is great, rather than 3 shots and u have no force...
45% of 1000 damage = 450 damage is mitigated by force armor
30% of 450 = 135 force.
Simply by the force armor change to Innate Armor will make force armor take place after pvp damage and further reduced by your "+20" innate armor you got when you became Jedi Initiate.
20+45=6500 armor
If you take 1000 damage
30% of 195 = 59 force.
This is still not even close in comparision with heals (1:10 Force to Health ratio), but hopefully the old 30% valueis reduced too.
