Nope, it's vs a BH/MCM/P usually and they can heal better than I, for less cost than I, plus throw states, poisons, et al.on me, have 8k energy resist armor, and can generally outdamage me too. Now if BH want to give up the reverse, I'll gladly deal with them. Right now it's (at worst) FR and +cloak+ because I'm too busy when I do get to play to be your content.

My favorite tell from a BH "You *(&(& coward, at least your not @)&*( leveling!"

My Reply "Well not on this Jedi ATM, but on the other PC I own..."

But is your non-consentual PvP against Swordsman/Doc/TKA? No, Don't think so. If you don't want to be a part of the GCW, where you fight tepmplates such as that, then don't. You have a choice. Thats consentual.
As I said as well, you also had the choice, to stay in the normal professions, or become a Jedi. You made the choice, and you accepted the consequences that come along with it. Your choice. PvP is no longer consentual in regards to Bounty Hunters and you. Thats the freedom and Safety you gave up. Fact.

Well, the Bounty Hunters have found a template that counters Jedi templates, make a template that counters MCM. Most Bounty Hunters have armor with protection against saber damage, go Powers, its Kinetic damage. Tired of Combat Medic? Go 0/0/0/4 Healer.

Theres plenty of options, Yes, some templates are difficuilt to beat, thats why they become FOTM. We came up with MLS/Mdef, they countered with BH/MCM, lets counter again, get our brains working against theirs. Thats half the
fun.

we are going to spend alot of time regrinding our templates. every time we counter the bh will recounter and vice versa. Like this game isnt too much about grinding as is. lol but hey atleast its a positive idea.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

Well, lets get a few things straight here:

* Jedi weren't really available from day one in the game, it took a few months for them to turn on the code and a few more for someone to trigger *Force Sensitive*

* Bounty Hunters were intended since pre-Beta to hunt other players, within certain parameters.

I've been against the concept of Bounty Hunters being able to initiate nonconsensual PvP on ANY player since the days when all we had was to talk about it on the forums. Back whensome of the professions were going to be "Explorer" or "Scientist".

The thing with non-consensual PvP, is that it is no more and no less than institutionalized griefing. While this is thankfully not true of the majority of the population, there is a segment of our population who get a great deal of satisfaction in knowing they have disrupted another person's game. A good number of these shining souls also have a great deal of time to devote to their game, making their presence felt a great deal. And look what the Bounty Hunter system as implemented has handed them: first attack, near anonymity until first attack, costs inflicted to target (xp loss which equates to hours of game time, at one point there was potential for permadeath), no like costs (and thus, no real risk) to the would-be griefer.

It's here, it not's leaving, and I really don't expect that things will improve until the breadth of the Bounty Hunter's targets increases. And that appears to be on the near horizon.

It has been proposed that another PvP dynamic will be introduced, a sort of capture the flag, where Smugglers face off against Rangers. At cost to the smuggler (and perhaps ranger, hasn't been specified) on loss of these contests is making an appearance on the Bounty Hunter terminals. Another point of interest will be if and when Bounty Hunters, on failing their missions, begin to appear on the Bounty Hunter terminals. There is the one contest, Bounty Hunter on Bounty Hunter, I would rather like to see the fallout from.

When other segments of the population beyond the "privilidged" Jedi start epxeriencing this... dynamic, there will more attention paid to what it takes to become a player hunting Bounty Hunter.

For my money, a great deal could be forgiven if the would-be predators had something more significant to lose. Not only do they see themselves on their own terminals, if they are killed on a mission by their player-target, they are bumped back to Investigation II. That'll cost em a few hours of their time, and apply the incentive tofight back knowing that you might put them on a small regrind treadmill before they can darken your doorway once more.

Couldn't tell you how I felt besides disgusted. Well thats after I logged back in from my client crashing. If you don't know what I mean you don't need to know. Those that do your pathetic for doing so. But to answer your question i crash out about ....oh once or twice a week. Depending on how popular I get. And no it doesn't excite me to go LD.

I had a MBH/MCM last night some for me i was crafting a new saber in Guild Hall. I seen him stop at my house for me. He sent me a tell and i told him i am over here when i walked out. He paralized me and sat down to applie his debuffs and CM stuff. I was a bit rushed and started to attack him asap... used all my force and a holo. I had to run around to regen wich i think we are aloud to do but when i killed him 30 minutes later he started to flame me calling me a little girl for running away to reen he wanted me to stand in one spot and let him kill me... I told him like I am gonna do that!!!!

So all in all i was happy that i killed him but i did not need the flaming after..

His name was 'kite on corbantis if any of you have had him or gonna get him afte you.

I think i was nice to come out and fight i could of stayed in pa hall but nope i like fighting them.

I like getting hunted... it makes the game fun, and keeps it interesting. And no, I don't win all the time.. more like 3 in 4. Even losing though, if it is a good fight, is usually a good experience for me. I have never gotten hate tells from a fight (I got some from a dork bh when I was doing a Kashyyyk quest once, but thats another story.) I have even gotten to be friends with some of the bh that have hunted me.

Consideringthat Iwould have to start regrind #5 one box before I even finished #4, it's not worth my time. I've decidedjust leave that Jedi Vis'ed up as high as possible on a walk macro in the basement of one of our various PA Halls 9 out of 10 times. I even have the "walking computer" setup nice and sweet for it, since it's on a KVM with separate speakers.

Besides my MBH/MRM does more damage, quicker, in PvE or PvPthan either Jedi. His only problem (and the same would be said of the Jedi here as well) is Melee Doc combos.

Did you know
SOE has changed this game 3 times
Jedi went from being an Icon to a normal profession
The combat system is being reduced to Enemy Territory online

well since i have been a jedi it seems that I have been attacked 119 times and died 14 times. I get a rush most of the time. I get pissed when i be tanking for a group and leave to go to the rest room or get distracted by family only to come back dead. It sucks that way but most of the time its kinda cool watching the BH get better or use something different.

Never been hunted. Hope I never am. I'd be dead meat to just a MBH with no backup prof at the moment.
