Ok what i dont understand is Mace Over powered the emepor , when yoda faced the empor yoda was on the defence the whole time
Id thought for sure yoda would have taken the emepor
Also GL should have an a sence where u see yoda vs mace vs obi vs ani all dueling
then u would have seen who was powerfull and who was wise to the force
Yoda past his prime.
This is why he could not defeat Dooku in a short time. Dooku was Yoda's apprentice just as Anakin was Obi-Wans.
While true that Obi-Wan sacraficed his life, he would have been defeated by Vader in the end. He too was past his prime. "I am getting too old for this kind of thing."
So what about Sidious then? Isn't he older then all of them? (respectivly for age)

That's because dark side > light.

Speaking of Yoda's prime, while he might not have been physicaly as strong as he once was, his power in the force only increased with time. When it comes to what makes a Jedi or a Sith strong, its their strength in the force, not their physical strength that matters the most,so, as far as power levels, didnt we see him in his prime?

Physical strength is a factor, espcially when two jedi are close to equal with either side of the force.
Note how physically tired Yoda was after the conflict with Dooku in EP2.
As far as the age of Palp, good comment and no one really knows how old he is.
Considering that Yoda is many hundreds of year old, maybe Plap is only a couple hundred old.
About Mace Windu:
In the history of the Jedi Order, only two opponents ever overcame him in battle. One was Master Yoda, whom some said was the Order's true master of lightsaber combat. The other was former Master Dooku, whose own fighting style was archaic, yet stunningly effective.
In my opinion,Obi-wan could not make it.

Obi-Wan would have lost to Windu. Everything I've read and seen in the movie leads me the conclusion in a straight up fight no one could take him except maybe Yoda in his prime.
As for Windu vs the Emperor, I really have no clue if he intentionally set things up so he would look like he was about to be killed to trick Annie to come to the darkside. I find it interesting that Mace had 3-4 other Masters (council members if I remember correctly) and the Emperor sliced through them like butter. Why couldn't Windu take him then if he was really better than the Emperor? I mean if you can't take someone with 3-4 of your buddies, you should back out of the fight if it becomes 1 on 1.
Yoda IMO was fighting Palp pretty good. The difference was the superior tactics by using the surroundings to his advantage......Yoda's age also had to play a role, he was just to old to last a fight that long. Kind of like Jedi currently in this game, we can't last past these 30 min fights lol.

How old was Palpatine at that time ?
You are so wrong. YODA...YODA (See in the future guy) YODA
YODA
YODA said that obi wan was no match. is people like, not seeing that point? really. YODA himself said he was not. which is why mace went. Obi wan would have gotten torn up vs the emperor.
Again, how can u say this when yoda specifically says what he does? you may like obi wan, cool, but those are the facts.
was correct.
Bah something cool I found check this out. Gonna quote some here.
It's one of the fieriest debates of online fan forums: when Palpatine was cornered in his office's giant window-frame, was he really overpowered by Mace? Or was he faking to lure Anakin? Could Mace really have gotten the upper hand on the Sith Lord? ...
George Lucas is the ultimate keeper of the true answer, and he's not telling... yet, anyway. If you had asked me in the Summer of '03, when the sequence was first shot, I would have had a solid answer. But, if you asked me in the Fall of '04, when the sequence was re-shot, well... for those who want to debate, it's best to know more of the story of how this scene came to be ...
So, if Sidious' entire duel played out before Anakin's stunned eyes, I'd be inclined to think that his fall was just for show. This changed after a screening George Lucas held for a few key colleagues. Their reactions underscored the shortcomings of the way this duel was constructed. Anakin's inaction was hard to justify cinematically. "The story was there, but it wasn't clear," said Lucas at the time it came to rebuild this scene. "It was too abstract. We opened up that part and looked at what we could do." ...
So... with this revised duel, if Sidious threw the fight, it places an awful lot of faith on Anakin's timing ...and he suffered a kicked-in face to boot. For what it's worth to those arguing, I doubt there's anyone who thinks Palpatine's serious when he claims he's too weak. That's obviously a lie. But was the fall into the corner that preceded his pleas for help a lie as well? ...

MrDoppa wrote:Oh yeah and remember. Though i haven't read all the books. How surprised was everyone to find out. That the child that was prophecied to be born, to bring the force back into balance was meant to increase the dark side in order to bring it back into balance.
Now Mace or YODA????? Hmmmmm?
The prophecy that the chosen one would bring balance to the force was misinterpreted. The Jedi, who were full of themselves and thought they could do no wrong, thought that meant that light would win. Ballance means the same on both sides, and ZERO on both sides is ballance. Vader/Anakin therefore started the road to this prophecy when he started the killing at the Jedi temple and fulfilled the prophecy at the end of RotJ when he killed Sideous (along with all the other light and dark jedi in between these events), thereby succeeding in wiping out both sides: light and dark.
