Thread: Do you think the overpowered bh/cm's are ever going to get fixed?

Found here
Also lemme add something I found funny. (By the way I don't think there's a problem with cm)
JEDI GENERAL INFO:
- The goal of the Combat Upgrade is for all profession templates to be balanced now, both in terms of offensive and defensive capabilities. This includes Jedi and, yes, even Bounty Hunter templates.

I asked for all this during the CU development, many times. However, the Devs' response was always that they expected Jedi to grab Defender for defenses. I argued against that line of thought but they were pretty adamant about it...
As for it being balanced, it is compared to regular professions. Any melee stacker with TKM will be very close (if not better) to the defenses that a Master Defender has, with the exception of Avoid Incap of course.

I believe that it's a greater chance that BH/CM is getting nerfed than Jedi being fixed.

Here's the problem.
A guy just unlocks. He thinks, "Well, I'm going to need to do lots of damage to survive." So he picks up Master Lightsaber. Then he thinks, "I'm going to need some defenses to survive." So he picks up Master Defender. Then he thinks, "I'm going to need healing to survive." So he picks up 4000 or 3000 healer. Then he tops it off with Channel.
Now he's got the uber temp he's read all about on the forums. But the problem is... not enough SP for 0400 Healer! Which means he's very vulnerable to Combat Medic DOTs. The guy can't understand why he's not the uberest player ever. He's aJedi, why shouldn't he be the best player on the server? He should automatically be granted that by the time he reaches Master. So, he needs to complain until his template has no weaknesses at all.
That's basically the problem here.

I'd be happy with a how-to on beating them or at least holding my own.
1) Make sure that you take away their advantages
A) this means figure out how to overcome the range advantage from the get-go.
-- I use the enhancer root and FR1
-- Another way would be cloak and move in range, though less effective may be viable for Power type jedi
2) Ensure the best possible def available to you.
A) make sure your foods are a complete set and you know what benefits you gain from each
-- I use Vegeparsine, vayerbok, pikatta, crispic, and either blob, bofa treats, and spice tea for longevity or
Gruvaan Shaal and Mandolorian wine for maxed stats and bonus to health.
3) Maximize your damage output
A) if you are post CU jedi and have no good pearls think about picking up some powers, this could really help increase your DPS (lots of powers go
right through non jedi armor)
-- I am pre CU and have a decent saber so I use MLS with FS2 to maximise my damage output.... works great btw
B) If you have a decent saber make sure you are hitting with your best attacks and using armor break when needed (it is always needed)
-- Not only this but use states to limit their acc, and bleeds will limit (somewhat) their regen rates which is hell to a MCM
This is just a taste off the top of my head, but I don't have a problem with the majority of these folks. Only one has been able to fight me long enough to make me run and that was a VERY talented PvPer/BH, perhaps the best on my server (starsider). Only other thing I would say is practice, practice practice.
Get your friends together and duel in a safe place as much as possible. Watch out for the triple incap timer but have fun and get comfortable with PvP. Don't freak out as soon as you realize you are being hit or get paralyzed. Just think about your best attributes and use them to your advantage. Most players you encounter will run out of mind before you run out of force. The ones that last you can run from if you need to. Don't feel obligated to fight, it is your game, play it.
