Thread: Do you think the overpowered bh/cm's are ever going to get fixed?
I'd rather see them up the damage output of lightsabers -- not just those equipped with perfect pearls, but across-the-board. And restore the high-end pearl/crystal drops, as well... not just one or the other. Do both!
Better yet would be if the devs put together a series of caves of varying difficulty on each of the planets, inhabited by fearsome beasts (not necessarily NPCs), thatare the original source of these mystical crystals. Someone put a lot of work into detailing a system for such a thing about a year ago. Perhaps these cavescould be instanced for lone Jedi, with a sentry at the portal that only allows people inside once in a given span of time, and their foray is only capable of uncovering a limited number of crystals (an unknown number...) in a given trip before the entire supply of available crystals turned up by natural erosional processes is "taken up."

CM/BH'S aren't so powerfull, if you people would get smart when fighting them you would be fine
Amen
Nerf nerf nerf.....
Nerf the BH, nerf jedi, hell, nerf chefs, they gor it too easy
MBH/MCM are not overpowered - but they are very good in certain situations.
People need to understand the game has an element of Rock/Paper/Snippers - and choosing a profession for PvP is about style AND metagaming.
Most Jedi play close to the same build (for various reasons). BH hunt Jedi. BH choose builds which maximises their chance vs the majority of their marks. Jedi play rock, BH turn up as paper etc.
Moaning about it is just saying "I play rock - nerf paper so I can beat that and snippers" - which is daft.
There are a number of Jedi builds which destroy MCMs, Powers being quite handy at it, but also key skills from the other trees. If you want to destroy MCMs, pick these skills. Jedi, and all players, need to understand you cant have a "god" template which beats everyone - you need to pick what you want to do and win the fights you plan to win. Yeah, people will say "but then I loose to XXXX", well tough poo poo - you win some - you loose some - your choice who.
If in a strange world, 90% Jedi picked Master Powers, Enhancer 3xx2 or Hxx4x then I can guarentee that most BH would NOT be MBH/MCM. There would be very few MCMs then because the BH would pick the best template to beat the new prey.
Live and adapt, dont whine if you're not a god. Learn to play :-P

Excellent post. This is the point of the new game-- balance by way of choice. As a Ranger, I am godly in PvCreature. I choose to play that role, and I do it very well. I solo big game (gorax, GDK, ancient krayts) for fun, and most of the time do it without wearing armor. In PvNPC, I'm decent. I have MBH on my Ranger toon and I do okay against boss marks. I have problems with the guys who have 30k Heath, but I make due. Now in PvP, I suck because essentially all I have are BH skills. Now, that's balanced because my extreme power against creatures makes up for my lack of power in PvP.
The same is true of any template. There will be things that you destroy (PvE seems very easy for the FOTM MLS/MDef template, but against BH/CMs it's crap. The powers template which owns CM/BHs is less powerful agaisnt Jedi. A Master Enhancer template is reasonably good against most templates, but doesn't excell in any area. It's balance by choice. You'll never be able to own 100% of your targets and you never should. A skilled BH who has a tempate that capitalizes on your weaknesses should beat you A template which is built to capatalize on THEIR weaknesses will beat them.
Choose your template is such a way that you know who you can and can't beat. BH/CM is a great template against some Jedi, but against others it's no good. It's all how you play.

but you leave out one basic important fact, we dont have the luxury to be good against bh and eventually against other jedi. we have to choose between surviving bh attacks or regrind to be good against other jedi when and if the frs comes back online. thats the unfair part of how we are set up now. we cant win either way. what works on bh doesnt work on jedi. so, unless you go off the terms if you are going through the frs, then you are screwed one way or the other. Most quests that you take now, put you right back on the terms, so you will always have someone looking for you pre and post frs.
I chose a template that whoops BH booty (and has the best +style bonuses

This should be a stickie on both Jedi and BH forum !!! Best comment ive read in a long time regarding the nerf cries !![]()
thanks, yeah that's how i see things. Taking away from something to even out the balance with something else is not the answer, sadly the devs have yet to realize this. Instead of taking things away you make adjustments and additions where necessary.... nerfing something just means you're too lazy to come up with a real solution devs... and you know that's the truth
