Thread: Next Patch Hidden (Nerf) fix Coming
Before you come on here claiming we are exploiting, this was never an issue for 2 years ... now it is, I am not saying this should not be fixed, I am saying we should be able to repair what is broken once.
I have no problem with a fix, and I do think that restoration kits craftable by profession specifics (not artisans) would be a great bonus to this.
EXP: Armor Refurb kit by AS, Weapon rebuild kit by WS, and a Clothing Rejuvination kit from tailors.
My only issue here is there is no warning of this, and there was never an issue. These idiots making stupid exploit comments need to go find a midol. These are the same people that play this game 24/7 and are still nothing in real life or in game.

While I have been trying to verify this, I have heard that they are nerfing 0 condition clothing with CAs to not work any longer. I am not sure if its a for sure or what but if they do this, It will hammer a lot of jedi. I know myself I have about 120 million in tapes and due to triple incaps in PvP, Death in PvE (DwB) etc, I have lost 2 articles of clothing.
Had I been informed this nerf was ever planned, I would have adked all my clothing. Now I am out about 40 - 50 million creds, nice. This is worst thanthat XP nerf as far as I am concerned.
I know we cannot do anything about it except complain, but a one time repair would be appreciated, I would at least be able to ADK the stuff.

Wow I'm an exploiter and I didn't even know ! And it's funny I mean must be game-breaking be able to wear cas on 0/0 stuff.
Does armor work at 0 condition? No.
Do weapons? No.
It's pretty obvious that clothing shouldn't either.
Has it been labeled a bannable exploit? No.
Is it exploiting a bug? Yes.
If people are paying millions to get the combat attachments, then they must be worthwhile, and therefore the do indeed change the balance of the game when you can just keep your 0 condition combat mods.
Notice I refrained from making an obnoxious font out of your post, and I still stand by what I said. If you take advantage of a game mechanic that is quite obviously broken, don't come crying about lost millions and screaming "Stealth Nerf!!" when it gets fixed.
Couple problems with your thoughts there.
1..Who is to say that armor does not work at 0 cond? What if i want to just use it as clothing? Its still equipable. Actually if you use 1/1 condtion armor that has broken, it will act as 100%. You will never need to buy armor again.
2. Clothing might deteriotate in real life, but it never goes poof. So why should we not be able to wear clothing at 0 cond? BE Clothes , i agree should stop working if at 0/100. However why must the tailor community punish all combat players and have their skill mods ruinied and hundreds of millions of credits lost.
Since the launch of the game clothing has worked as it does now. So how do you know it was not intential. Maybe they changed their mind right before launch to accomodate people that use skill tapes.
If this change does go thru, then player must demand a new skill to remove skill mods from deterioated clothing. Maybe make it a tailor skill.

You will never need to buy armor again. It's still equippable because when it used to drop in your pack it would overload inventory. If they made it just disappear, people would not realize it had worn out and file missing item reports. Thus, it's equippable but ineffective, i.e. doesn't work. If 1/1 armor works as %100 and never decays, that's another bug you're taking advantage of.

I've seen cloth get old enough that it gets so brittle it disintegrates when flexed. 0%, essentially goes poof.

If that is true, then it won't get fixed. If it gets fixed, then we'll know it was a bug that took a long time to get around to. I seem to remember a time when 0 condition stuff dropped to inventory unequippable, which would have made the modded clothing unusable.
If this change does go thru, then player must demand a new skill to remove skill mods from deterioated clothing. Maybe make it a tailor skill. Shall we also demand that weapons that go to 0 condition be unsliced, and the slice components be retrieved? Or the weapons be disassembled and the krayt tissues removed? If you chose to place a 'clothing power up' on a piece of clothing, you shouldn't get it back when the clothing gets destroyed.

( Ya, seeing as weapons have always worked this way, that makes sense ... at least make a point with some knowledge backing it.)
Angamarth, you a one bitter little peice of garbage I must say. Just because you dont have something being effected doesnt mean others dont. If you have an opinion that is not idiotic, or a point that is not idiotic feel free to post here, but if it is to flame that OMG finally these guys that worked years to buy and collect tapes will finally be nerf batted to my noob status, post somewhere else.

Agree totally, I have no problem buying new clothes every week, money is not my issue, I have a WS and a BH alt, plus a smuggler account ... money is never an issue. My issue is that my tapes are irreplacable. I would at least like to be able to retrieve them.
I have some +25 SEAs that no longer drop in game that I spent weeks and months collecting, I would have adked them if there was ever enve a mention of this coming, but I just want to regain my attachments in the end.
There is no difference in this "fix" and them "fixing" sabers to be tuned saber specific and once a pearl is "cut" for one saber, it cannot be reused if you build a new saber.... I imagine there would be a huge uproar then.
They should wear out too. Ca would be a piece of fabric and aa would be a piece of armor each of which add enhancements but would aslo be subject to wear and tare. And i definately dont think they should be able to be reused. As there names suggest they are attachments. A clothing attachment would be sewn on to clothing and armor attachments would be welded to armor. You couldent un-sew or un-weld and have it come out in the best condition for re-usal.

I have a master tailor, and trust me.. this bug really hurts his profession and income. This is a bug that should have been fixed long ago. You should not even be able to wear 0 condition clothing at all. This bug has always hurt tailors.. it kinda like the architect, sure you could make money by sellinghouses and structureswhen it is first placed in game or a noob is created... but once they have the item, there is no need to ever do bussiness with that person again.
Best thing I could think of to make this "seem" fair is to make the clothing (armor or whatever) decay and be unusable a 0 condition.. however slots on clothing and armor should work differently. A clothing/armor attachment should only occupy one slot regardless of the ammount of mods that it gives. The attachments should be removable from these slots. Once the item reaches 0 condition, it should be removed from your inventory and drop all attachmets of of the slots.
Tailors don't die to this bug, Jedi do to the Saber speed one! And BH's fix their droids with bugged bacta toss etc Killing jedi and damaging DE's sales!

Its kind of like the "nerf" they did to seeker droids awhile ago. You could launch as many of them as you wanted without losing any. It wasn't supposed to work that way but it did. Sure it sucks to have to buy more since it was that way for so long, but it was fixed to the way it should be. Same thing may happen to clothing. You maybe should have expected them to fix this and planned accordingly. And I've never had any important clothing of mine go to 0 condition since I always insure everything I have in my inventory and on my character.
