I would have to say no as well. The main point that all the jedi haters use is that we have ruined PvP. Well just last night we had about 30-40 people in a pvp battle and only about 16 were jedi and I'm pretty sure they all died at least once.

Jedi didn't ruin pvp anyway that happend back a long time ago when there were defense stackers. People who have been around for a while know what I'm talking about. Fencers with unresistable weapons and defensive mods well over 200. This was before diminishing returns where every point of defense was rated the same.

Nope! I would rather the game crash and die before giving up jedi. Sad, maybe, but i feel that i have the right to enjoy the game and my character as much as anyone else does. I worked for my character, i'd rather the game just collapse than have the devs 2 and a half years after the fact decide that jedi isnt good for the game.

In other words, would you give up the game for the good of the game? You're barking up the wrong tree on this one, m8.

Getting rid of Jedi would just bring forth a new dominant class and the crybabies would whine again. Until the dancer/artisian/pistol 1 template can go toe to toe with the master bounty hunter/commando and end up in a draw these people will not be happy.

Back in 2003 Jedi were the main reason why I even bought this game. No Jedi = me and 50% of the player base leave.

And sincemany Jedi have 2 accounts or more, that comes to around 80% of the player accounts being cancelled. Then another 19% would leave because they would lose the promise of ever getting Jedi...

Then the servers are consolidated into Bria in another 're-balance' scheme that causes everyone to lose all their houses, vendors, backpacks and general inventory and have them replaced with meroj melons.

The fact is that every profession on this game with the exception of very few, are never seen in the movies. TKA is a very rare profession even in the expanded universe that rivals jedi in strength and agility yet how tks were there running around before the CU? I have never noticed a power hammer, scythe, stun baton or many lances in the movies. The majority of the professions you see in the movies are ranged and before the CU you rarely saw ranged with the exception of rifles.

In short, if you want to talk continuity lets just dump the whole game and move on. The village slowed me down from getting jedi and the village made it much easier to get jedi. I think they shouldn't put a cap on jedi but i do think they should make it halfway tough to get again. Then make it tough to grind again. If groups are going to be required, then let damage %s affect the xp received again. if you do 50% of the damage then let that be what you recieve.

not all of us Jedi participate in PVP- I'm mostly PVE and PVP only when some dumb BH tries to take me out.

I am not ruining the game- if anything my character helps out multiple people- especailly in these new quests on Kashyyyk. I love giving basically "tours" of the myyydril caves and then showing a group of unbelievers how you CAN solo necrosis.

I wouldnt give my Jedi up for anything- I earned it- I only play on it.

I wont give up my Jedi...i played for months, just to become one....it is the Dev´s Duty, to find a way, EVERYONE can live with them! Not our Duty, to give up months of Work!

Most of you would probably say "no." The countless hours spent grinding and so forth, I know it would be a lot to ask. Yes, I do have a jedi and have also spent hours/days grinding him.

However, I can't help but think the game would be much much better without jedi at all. Imo it was a big mistake to implement the jedi system in the first place. Around December of 03 when people realized they had to master 5 professions (or 29), the game hasn't been the same. Instead of giving holo's for Christmas the devsshould have capped the jedis and taken the system out.

The simple fact is: according to EP3 and the movies we love, there are5 (6 if you count Leia's potential) jedi left with the possibility of some stragglers. I am just sick of jedi running rampant. Can you go to a starport without hearing the hum of a lightsaber? I don't care if they are overpowered, underpowered or whatever. They, we shouldn't be there.

However, there isn't much more you can do to fix this at this point. Every time the devs have tried to fix the system it has gotten worse for one side or the other. So I ask this community, would you be willing to give up your jedi? Of course we would need to get something in return, possibly a character with 50% more skill points, or a year of free subscription to the game, I don't know. You just have to weigh the positives and negatives .

With the implementation of the CU, JTL and ROTW, there is lots of new content that goes unused. The GCW has so much potential and should be the focus of the game, not jedi grinding. The powergamers would spend time trying to outfox the enemy in the GCW and working in teams instead of grinding.

I know your answer is "no", but this is just my 2 creds. My answer, I would have to think about, but I think in the end it would be "yes," for the good of the game.

Ok let me get this through your thick thick thick skull..... you see the state of the game as it is now right ? you take Jedi out... and you take away one of the major selling points of this game and also countless numbers of customers who not only already have Jedi but dream to get one some day... in the end it don't matter if you think there were only 5 jedi left after EpIII (Which if youpaid closer attiton andlook deeper you would see that there ARE others out there but thats another debate all together) What matters to SOE is $$$ (MONEY!) they have already lost a ton of it with this bull crap they call an "Upgrade" (They have had to resultto TV adds to drum up newaccounts after losing so much) they mine as well shoot themselfs in the head and be done with it if they turn off Jedi because this game would NOT LAST.... So there for For the good of the game will you Morons who want Jedi out of SWG stop asking...? Thanks

If they give me $500, I would gladly let them strip all of my Jedi skills and the possibility of getting them back. I'd better get to keep the 2nd character though.

Alas, this will never happen.

I won't even say that it is 'a question worth pondering.' I'm sooo tired of all the Jedi-flaming.

I'm going to go ahead and up the ante:

IMO a very large number of the most vocal Jedi haters dislike the profession because they were tired out by whatever grind they did to reach their master level templates, as well as all the shopping they did for their gear. As a result, they would rather get rid of our profession then have to go through yet another grind to be what they consider to be uber.

I consider it to be only the most vocal of minorities that really want to get rid of Jedi for some puritanical reason. The rest is jealousy and laziness.

I can twist the movies all day long to show how there were actually millions upon millions of Jedi running around during that timeline...but I won't.

It is a game. Play it however you want. If you don't want to be a Jedi, then don't. But stay the heck out of my fun.

And if you hate Jedi that much: go play something different.

Flame on...I can take it since I'm an 'invincible' MDEF...right?
