no matter how much i complain and moan about what they do or have done to jedi. i still enjoy playing it. i have no desire to play any other profession.

without jedi id rather play wow or daoc. they both, generally, have more of what i want in an mmorpg.

but neither have jedi.

hate the nge... but i lurk. one day maybe things will be fun again. until then soe/la dont get none of my moneys.

SWG without Jedi is like the Lord of the rings.....without the ring.

If anything they should change the timeline

No, ofcourse.

Game has no good to jedi and jedi has no difference than any other proffession beside being hard to achieve and hard to level.

You still whining about Jedi ruining game?

Get a grip and take a look around yourself. If you could not kill your mark, this is not Jedi's fault. Defense always wins.

While I completely understand the concept...
AND I was against them including Jedi when they announced it during development...
Since they did include them, there is no way I would ever be willing to give it up.
I say that for one large reason...
it is not necessary.

There are a number of things that they could do to lesson the disturbance that Jedi cause in this game (For some players).

Granted, not all players feel that there is anything wrong with Jedi running around, but I believe that enough do and I also believe that things should be done (should have already been done) in order to allow Jedi to fit into this game better, while not interfering with so many other players that don't want to see so many Jedi.

Including Jedi may have been a mistake, but the worse mistakes were how they implimented the process and how they incorporated the Jedi into the Game Systems.

In short... my answer is no, because it would not mean the "Good of the game". They need to come up with more intelligent ways to improve the game.

May the force be with you.

On the back of the collector's edition, for those that got it. It said become anything you want INCLUDING JEDI. so not only no but hell no the game is Star Wars if I want a game without jedi but about space and adventure i'd try hmmm let me think..... Not a damn thing. SWG has to have jedi or it's pointless. Who seriously cares about seeing Han Solo in the game? Give me my lightsaber and let me kill him like fett should have.

A legitimate question to ponder.

Would my giving up my jedi fix the lag? Maybe, because one less person would be playing. Would it fix the afk ninja looters who beat others to the "good" stuff? No, they were doing that before there were jedi on the servers. Would it fix the consistent bugs that plague every patch/publish? Doubtful. Would it fix the screwed up economies after the credit duping? Would it change any of the exploits in the game?

There are so many issues "wrong" with the game, removing one combat class wouldn't change much at all. And you have to remember, just removing one type of toon doesn't change the person playing it.

Answer your own question by asking yourself if you'd leave the game for the good of the Jedi. If the answer is no, then you have no basis to ask us that.

And FYI, origionally there was a cap of 10 Jedi per server. Then when those caps were met, massive cancellations. Then they moved it to 30 Jedi per server, when that cap was met, massive cancellations. SWG would have died then and there if not for the christmas holochrons and the complete removal of the Jedi caps.

So take your 'Jedi ruined SWG' rhetoric and shove it, 'cause without Jedi, SWG would have died in 2004

I whole heartedly agree with the original poster

I would love to see everyone give up their Jedi.

As a matter of fact in 45 minutes everybody log in and delete their Jedi char.

then after that the only jedi left will be those that had more than one !

Surely the sick minded addicted people who unlocked more than one are truly the people who deserve it.

/endsarcasm

Seriously though for the good of the game if one doesn't like all the Jedi then /cancel
