It's quite simple really...

You generate visibility when....

1. Equiping or Unequiping your lightsaber

2. Equiping or Unequiping your robes.

3. Youring FORCE at all... Period... for specials, for heals, for powers, for force run... anything that uses force.

Now this is where the DEVs stopped. The way it REALLY works is you generate that visibility even if you are the only person on the planet, alone, in a private residence. The visibility just gets MULTIPLIED when NPCs or players see you...

So basically to get on the boards all you have to do is log your jedi in... and equip your lightsaber. Apparently each action has a visibility addigned to it, when you hit the magic number your on the terminals... regardless if anyone even knows your a jedi.

Well said!& correct, lol I liked my quick easy way same thing....lol -- no matter what deal lol

I still don't believe you can interact as a TKA all day long and not generate visibility. too many folks ending up on terminals without doing any jedi related activities.

Bottom line is, there is no way to know.

If you want to play jedi,

Don't group

Don't take missions

Buff in your house

Hunt on remote planets far from terminals

Get Feign Death

Keep a bike deed in your inventory

Keep well stocked on food and have a comp set of armor at the ready

best you can do at this point. We may never know.

Both things you just mentioned, probably not. But is it really worth the risk?

If people can see you are a jedi, or anyone sees you fighting with a saber it's a safe to say visibility will increase, who knows, I wouldnt be willing to try it to find out.

a duel requires two people, hence the term "duel", so that means someone saw you, which means most likely will give you vis.

If someone can see your saber activated/equipped it generates vis, even if its your best buddy. I have heard the generation is reduced slightly for group members but its hard to test this.

If another player or npc is within 32ms of you when you:

1) have a lightsaber equipped
2) are using force powers
3) are in combat with a lightsaber (seems like this is already covered under #1, but...)

You will gain visibility.

There is the actual visibility statement from Tiggs:

Each of the following Jedi-relation actions has an associated Jedi Visibility Modifier:

-Equipping a Lightsaber.

-Initiating Combat with a Lightsaber equipped.

-Using any Jedi-related skills that consume Force power.

All PCs and all non-animal NPCs that observe a Jedi performing any of the above stated actions (observed as defined as within 32 meters) will contribute to an increase in the Jedi's Visibility Value (JVV).

-An opposing faction member who views this action will add the full value of the action to the Jedi Visibility Value.

-A Neutral PC or non-animal NPC will increase the JVV by 50 percent of the action's Jedi Visibility Modifier.

-A same-faction PC or non-animal NPC will increase the JVV by 25 percent of the action's Jedi Visibility Modifier.

Being grouped with a PC or non-animal NPC who is viewing this action has no influence on how Jedi Visibility is obtained.

Visibility is a high level concept of rumors and information funneling back to the Emperor and Darth Vader. It's not directly related to friends ratting you out or not. It's more about supposed "private" conversations between friends about amazing things they saw getting out. An argument could even be made for increasing visibility even when nothing can see you as the Emperor and Darth Vader can potentially just "feel" a Jedi's presence if they are not extremely careful.

Hi all,

I am going to be getting my jedi soon and i was wondering,

what all consist of getting visibility?

Like do you get it from wearing your robe in pub?

do you get it for just having a saber equipt?

Crafting in public?

thanks for any info
