first of all...yes...most bounty hunters going after jedi are griefers, because they obviously arent doing it for the money...and yes, they do tell you they are coming

they usually use such clever witty lines such as "i hear you are a jedi, i like to give each new jedi on this server a krayt pearl, where can i meet you".....

trust me, ive already gone through 1 jedi due to my stupidity....i didnt fall for those lines, but i trusted someone who i shouldnt have.

ask any other jedi.,.....BHs like to taunt you before they start searching

I was wondering how visibility is tied with fighting faction NPC's. I have been hunting stormtroopers to get up the initiate tree, when I got a message that said this outpost has recognized you as a covert rebel operative. Shortly after I got tells saying I was on the BH boards. If anyone could shed a little light on this I would appreciate it

If your seen by someone who can "talk" about it, your getting visibility. Probably all pc's and npc's count toward visibility.

Well ive been hunting at faction bases, great jedi xp at the initiate level, the only thing that can speak would be the imperial recruiter i guess?

I really wonder what that system message had to do with it....

The GCW imp crackdown flagged you for killing imps? Maybe before all the wittness's died, one got off a frantic radio-call in informing imperial commanders of a force weilder?

Who knows

I have been told by several people that once u attain more level 4 boxes in jedi you are more likely to get on the terms?

Fact or fiction

If fact then wouldnt it be wiser to just lvl up all the skill boxes u want to 3 before you go for 4!

Also if visibility is 32m now what if you throw your saber and it gets in that range does that count as using powers by an npc?

I think the reason you get on the terminals faster at higher levels is because you are using more force powers, there is a theory that claims in addition to all that crap the devs stated that will generate visibility, just using a certain amount over a certain period of time will generate it as well, so the higher level you are, the more powerful specials you have, the more force you are using in addition to the added speed at which you are using it.

I think the 32m is a bogus number personally. I'm thinking more like 64 or whatever the minimum distance an object loads at.

I had a thought on this, what if you gain visibility more when you have more skills because of your force bar increasing? The more force you have the more that certain individuals can sense your prescense?

Remember when Darth Vader was chasing Luke in his TIE fighter in Episode IV? The force is strong with this one.

Is therea thread anywhere that explains visibility and how it works. I need to know in detail exactly what trigger you on a terminal, what the deal with groups are, factioned people, guilded people, and so on.

There is about 20 and none of them work or are a "sure thing" except one - DO NOT USE THE JEDI --- saddly this is what we are driven to now.

I mean only 27 known patches to the Terms system and they still dont work right... so I mean there is your facts.

It's quite simple really...

You generate visibility when....

1. Equiping or Unequiping your lightsaber

2. Equiping or Unequiping your robes.

3. Using FORCE at all... Period... for specials, for heals, for powers, for force run... anything that uses force.

Now this is where the DEVs stopped. The way it REALLY works is you generate that visibility even if you are the only person on the planet, alone, in a private residence. The visibility just gets MULTIPLIED when NPCs or players see you...

So basically to get on the boards all you have to do is log your jedi in... and equip your lightsaber. Apparently each action has a visibility addigned to it, when you hit the magic number your on the terminals... regardless if anyone even knows your a jedi.

Guildies, groupmates, and others will all mutliply the visiblility you've gained..

25% for guildies and factioned people of the same faction

50% for neutrals

100% for Non-faction aligned people.
