Arjun, this stuff coming out of testcenter is horrible as far as conversion for current jedi.

Logically the previous poster had it right...current jedi already paid for those boxes in FS trees with mastering professions and opening slot.

Logic aside, it is BS to take what conversion is happening in test center and take that live. As itis, low level jedi are going to get screwed anyhow even if the swap was actually 1 for 1.

If this process goes to live A LOT of Jedi will quit, I for one have not spent all my free time trying to get to Padawan, to have six of my boxes used up on skills that I have already achieved by grinding 23 professions.

That is pathetic. I recall reading that current jedi will AUTOMATICALLY be padawans in the new system (because currently we dontrt have to worry about FS skills). How does that work if a current jedi has NO boxes?

This needs to be fixed. Please post your findings in TC testing area. This gimps us in the conversion.

thsi is going to be devistatig to the low lvl live jedi's, the system was made so that you would get to keep your normal skills whial you were a low lvl jedi, but all of the current jedi dont have any other skills, there is no way that a jedi with 2 skills could get anythign done.... i am assuming that novice will cost something, and so that would leave me with 1, yes only 1 box.

Basically, they will have to regrind what they already grinded!! They have to go out and get what they lost during the conversion.

TH stated that existing Jedi will begin the new system as Padawan learners and will have a 1-1 conversion credit forskill boxes they already have.

Starting at "Force Sensitive" and using our boxes to purchase the 6 lines of Sensitivity is obviously not starting at Padawan, it's starting at Force Sensitive.

This is a huge nerf. If it goes live this way, I simply won't log my Jedi on until they change it. I'm only 4/3/4/4 initiate, but I won't give up dozens of hours of grinding to boxes I could have earned in a fraction of the time.

too late for me! I'm already a Padawan and bending over for Publish 9! Thanks for the box to box conversion!

I guess it could be worse, I could have been an Appreciate and get screwed out of 3.2 millions and get a 200k box in return in this "1 to 1 conversion"

Sad to say, but I really think this is the way it was intended and after sorting some figures out I can see why.

As a current padawan it took me approx 6mil Jedi xp to reach that level. In the new system I will have the 6 FS lines and 11 more boxes. If I put all 11 of those boxes into one discipline I can be 4420 in that one discipline. With the new xp requirements that is just over 6.6mil xp so I do effectively gain xp this way, but only if I put it all into one discipline.

Now, a current apprentice would seem to be screwed by this as they could only get to 4430 which is 7.4mil xp and it cost them about 9.2mil to make apprentice. But no one will be a flat apprentice, they will at least have 4000 (which is simplicity and costs nothing really) so they could be 4443 in the new system which is 10.8mil xp. Again, they have actually gained free xp in the conversion.

Drop it down to the lower end, such as a 2222 initiate. This person has spent 750k xp and will only get two boxes, which is only 280k xp. Once again though, there is no problem getting those next two saber boxes to be 4222 which is still only 750k spent but in the conversion will give a return of 1.4mil xp. A reward of nearly double the xp you've actually used. Again, that is only if you put all your boxes in one discipline.

I think what it comes down to is taking the time now to look at the costs of current boxes and see where the best spot for you to stop will be. Then just start stockpiling the xp so that after your jedi is converted you can use that loose xp to gain boxes in a second discipline

open your mind pls

lets see melee accuracy would be nice for any sabre users esp with your opponents having def's now

oh and 2 more experimentation pts on your sabre

also jedi luck might be nice to see if it helps loot better/more often decent stuff

and +5 terrain neg could help those non master enhancers a little bit

ooooooo and for non enhancers again force vehicular speed to out run anyone that doesn't have it

think man

Enhancement on the experimentation is cool i'll give you that, 5+ terrian neg is nothing, jedi luck doesn't do much right now been testing it all day. melee accuracy and speed i've already said are good as well as the defense. the vehicular stuff is for jump to lightspeed i'm pretty sure which i dont have an interest in. any thing else i've left out? Nope, I don't think so, but all I'm saying is these skill points could be better spent on actual jedi skills. Especially when you consider in the conversion so it seems that these count as one of the boxes transferred over.

Somewhat less than idle note: No one's seen the extra two points, yet. No idea whether this is working as intended, or bugged. It might be like bestine port that will aid your experimentation roll without actually adding any more points.
