wow if you actually played the profession you are totally off base on this one... we have gotten more nerfs then fixes... we HAVE NOT GOTTEN FIXES... if you actually followed our profession you would know that... in fact the only good news a jedi got was that elementals were fixed... wow but that is with all professions... there is so many broke and borked things in jedi i dont see where you are talking about? get a jedi and find out what its truly like instead of making a fishbowl statement...
The BH/Jedi system has receive a HUGE brunt of development time, specifically aimed at ensuring that Jedi never lost xp unjustfully. Mostly, the Jedi side of BH missions were addressed. Ask BH's who dealt with the login/logout exploit, Feign Death, droids NEVER working, no tracking on Kashyyyk.
ahh a bh with his own interpretation.. first off WRONG.. im both... i had a bh for a very long time even before the cu and before patch 9... there are tons of fixes for bh's for them... and there wasnt exploits on the bh side? please.. lets talk about the paralyze exploit... or the duel exploit.... and by the way there is still no tracking on kashykk.... feign death was fixed(hmm they dont fix things for bhs huh) oh and login/logout fixed... droids work now... hmmm they dont fix things for bh's? and since jedi are so geared towards all pvp for its content... well i think they do need to address issues since they have no choices if a bhs come.. regular professions have a choice.. they go to a recruiter... voila no more pvp... still things dont get fixed... heck there have been hotfixes and publishes that give small amount of fixes that are still broken...but only a true jedi who plays the profession would know that...
The list goes on and on. The old FRS system received a whole host of tweaks. Broken Jedi skills are fixed ASAP (even though you feel they are sometimes nerfed, they STILL WORK),
this is a funny statement... you dont have a clue... our top 5 issues have not changed much we are lucky to get one fix.... lol this cracks me up man how clueless you are...
and combat animations are regularly introduced.
really? we had one patch for animations... thats it... because we had none...
Talk to Commandos. One of their master-level weapons didn't even FIRE for months, haha. Moreover, the AoE damage they are supposed to deal has been bugged since the CU came out.
yeah and they took our aoe damage away...
The village.... more content than ANY non-Jedi profession has tied to itself.
thats force sensitive not jedi related... in fact i say that because once you get force sensitve does not mean you have to go jedi...
The devs take their time to work on non-Jedi issues, but get right on Jedi fixes and balances.
not right and no clue as to how the fixes are and what we get...we dont get fixes... we get nerfed on our stuff that seem to effect the normal population... in fact we got nerfed so much that we are no longer 1.5 times stronger anymore as promised...
Jedi profession bugs are quickly addressed. You might not agree, but go play a non-Jedi combat profession like ranger(have one), smuggler(have one), squad leader(have one), or commando then give me an earful
now its time for your earful.. first off i have all of those with my 5 accounts...ranger works fine with me and does the job i need... but yes still need fixes like ALL other professions... smuggler.. well they have fixed smuggler with cu.. but they still have not pushed out the one publish that was suppose to release the new smuggler content... but they already stated when they are coming out with that...squad leader(well what can you safely say about them except give some bonuses on certain things) they have been useless except group bonuses forever... the one profession that should complain is entertainers..
they are WAY USELESS... and again i dont know where you get off saying we get our bugs fixed fast and quickly addressed... lol play the profession before you judge it... you will find out fast how long we truly wait and how much stuff truly doesnt get fixed...
This new expansion, which is being stressed as including non-Jedi content, will be highly Jedi oriented. One of the main selling points is the lava crystal.
has nothing to do with jedi... this has to do with SOE keeping people around to a horrible upkept game... they would rather dish out more so called "content" then fix the broken things in game... they just want more money... this expansion is a way for them to make more money... jedi frs shouldnt have an expansion... it should just be put back in but since episode 3 its a marketing ploy to make more money...
You will have a functional FRS system soon, meanwhile smugglers still don't have ANYTHING to do.
and that is JEDI's fault? droid engineers got their own publish too i dont hear you yelling at them.. heck they had more fixes then we did....

spoiled huh? lol ok. i spent hours and hours of grinding.. to be complet template and that makes me spoiled? ok.... as of right now you are like a kid who cant get a toy he always wanted and now is crying about it? how is that generalization for you?
Sure, you have taken many recent nerfs, but you are still the golden child of this game, and you still ARE stronger than non-Jedi templates, regardless of your claims. Only the most skilled non-Jedi can dish out the hurt to a Jedi, while most mediocre Jedi can slaw out death to most non-Jedi.
lol well if you had half a brain you can beat a jedi too... let me give you a hint... good armor good food(booster blue too)... cm healing... and instant stims... you cant be beaten... jedi has a bad heal timer.. and we have something called the force bar that you dont have that drains fast everytime we heal and swing our saber... just an FYI for you... oh and our heals take up much more mind then a cm/doc heal...
In a sense, I believe that the GCW has been inhereted by Jedi to some extent.
Non-Jedi players don't get any of this stuff. Smugglers have been waiting for TWO YEARS to smuggle, yet you people around here act like you are being murdered waiting for your second FRS system *chuckle*
yeah you are right i was a smuggler when game first came out.. .that has been promised since day one.. still has not came out.. but i guess that was jedi's fault too it didnt come out then...
you are right its all because of jedi... our second frs is only going to be content... we have none as a jedi... there is absolutely NO content for jedi... smuggler at least got a quest in kashykk.... jedi didnt get one did they? hell even weaponsmith got a quest on kashykk...
point fingers all you want.... but when smugglers were promised to smuggle early on in SWG history... there was no jedi... so whose finger you going to point at now... point the blame in a direction you seem to fail to realize... SOE...

Had they never put in the ability to become a Jedi in this MMO, a rage surrounding Jedi would have never existed. This rage was misperceived by the producers as genuine interest in the class then geared the game toward that direction.
If you EVER want to stir up a rage for something in a MMO, tell someone that there is a small chance that they can own a character that is 30 times more powerful than 99.999999% of the other players you are surounded by. (That is what they were a long time ago.)
THAT is the interest in the Jedi class, and it extends little beyond that as well.

Yeah, most of you people disagree with this post...but bite me....I liked it. It's probably the closest thing to the truth out there. This game would FLAT OUT be a better experience.
Now? Instead of killer GCW experiences and meaningful content/endgame....we get this crap "alpha" class that is turning into a normal profession slowly. I bought this game because of the GCW and some decent content....now look what I have, a fully temp Jedi. Coincidence? You all tell me.

LOL man dude thanks for proving our point... SO with his statement he didnt even realize that he is the perfect example as to why there is jedi... you my friend are the guinea pig of future MMO's for SOE.... you have fallen for the "i got a jedi" because there is NOTHING ELSE TO DO.... thats right.. people started leaving this game long before jedi was even introduced in game... why you ask? well CONTENT... there is none and hasnt been any... their time to make content for this game takes so long that when it does come out thats all there is to do and people finish in a week so then content is gone...
you fell for their trap... the whole idea of jedi was to give you content... make you grind for hours.. and hours and pay SOE money... thats all... that is SOE's content man...

You are full of it. I will never in my life play another SOE game. Yes, this was actually my first, but to be honest, they are the absolute worst maker's of MMORPG's I have ever witnessed. It is fully evident that all they care about is CASH COWS, and if even the likes of YOU can't see this, then continue paying for this game "based" in the Star Wars Universe, that really is the worst implementation of a Star Wars universe I have ever seen. You know for a FACT this is true, and there is nothing that can deny it.....hell, look at all the commercials and ads they place...screenshots, etc. JEDI JEDI JEDI!! Please tell me that you can now see where this game is going, why it is like it is now, and why the rest of the game is ruined by it...the original intentions of the game, mind you.
Yes, I admit. I fell into the trap. I wanted a decent representation of a Star Wars Universe. It wasn't there when I reached that point. So I went for Jedi. Finished, and was still waiting for that representaion. It still...hell....STILL....isn't there!!!! All bets are off....lt will never come.

read again what i wrote.. no way am i backing this game as to where it has gone.. i have been here since launch...first day waiting to log in because so many were trying to get in on bloodfin.... nothing has really changed since day one.. bugs and quick fixes to keep you in game... tahts about all it has been done...
how to keep poeple in game... well jedi was their quick fix... they kept you around long enough to level a jedi didnt they?
catching my drift.. so cool your jets dude... your the one i said you are pointing the fingers in the wrong direction... if anything JEDI has kept this game lasting as long as it did... i dont know many people who would of stayed if they didnt have one... that includes me

If it's content of the game you're looking for, then look a little farther out than the Coronet Starport.
Space flight is another option for you if you don't like seeing Jedi, you won't see a sabre swinging in space flight.
But first you must realize, this is a game and that's all it is. If it's not fun for you, then find something that is. Don't complain about it, just find something else that entertains you.
