Your argument in general. Analyzation, eh??

Perhaps you didn't understand that the last sentece I make equates the interest in the Jedi class perceived by this game's producers is little more than misunderstanding the crowd/mob mentality of placing a piece of gold in the middle of a room mechanic that their original implementation of Jedi was.
Everyone scurries around to pick it up, kicking, biting, fighting, and killing eachother to get it.
In the end, you only get a room full of injured people and someone with a small piece of gold. THAT does not sound like a fun situation to be in =/

Go into what you mean. You have only said "simple" and "flat". Lay it all out.

That should suffice.

I love it when a total moron thinks this game is all about jedi... first off... what "JEDI CONTENT" there is none... i guess if you truly had one you would know there is none...
secondly this game has always been in trouble with content... lets take a look at how many bugs SWG has had for over year... heck lets take a look at some bugs that have been in game for over 2 years and have not been fixed...
this has been SWG's problem... JEDI is just a profession now... they are not even 1.5 times stronger anymore... any fool who says they are doesnt know his own butthole from the slime he crawled out under.... You will find that a well outfitted and a well food dependant... cm/doc healing templated rifleman can beat a jedi with ease....
devs have made sure that jedi can do so well in balance against normal profession... that it has made them too weak... they have been their own demons... it has made me seriously not even want to play this game anymore... all that hard work i did pre pub 9 to get my jedi leveled... all for what? to be a normal profession?
You my friend(to the original poster) need to seriously get your head examined... there is no way that jedi is all this game has.... its the only thing that kept this game going... without jedi this game would of died a long time ago... jedi is the icon of STAR WARS....
there is absolutely no content or enough to keep anybody around long enough... jedi just filled that time void SOE needed to dish out another expansion...

No, it really doesn't. I'm STILL not getting it.
why are you wasting time arguing with jedi? it's like bashing your head against the wall.
the little children are never gonna have ennough and to hell with any class that tries to get an ounce of attention from the devs, just save your breath and do like so many of us. pick another mmo and jump ship when it comes out.
personelly i am waiting for ddo. then i will leave and never worry about the glow stick army ever again.

Everyone who thinks Jedi are fine in this timeline are just protecting their Jedi slot. I believe the essence of it truly does not extend beyond that. Jedi do exist in this timeline as supported by ep. III (Obi-wan and Yoda risking their lives to reconfigure the temple transmitter to warn away those jedi not already killed) and ep. IV ("the jedi are ALL BUT extinct..Their fire has gone out of the galaxy."). Why have Yoda and Obi-wan risk all to switch the transmitter and why wouldn't Obi-wan say "The jedi are extinct."? Jedi dueling in Theed in front of the starport? Ok that's not fitting the timeline. Perhaps a penalty of a certain as a blue glowy for each death from vis would help that...
Had they never put in the ability to become a Jedi in this MMO, a rage surrounding Jedi would have never existed. This rage was misperceived by the producers as genuine interest in the class then geared the game toward that direction. The rage wouldn't have existed if the jedi were never added, but the game hasn't been totally geared towards jedi as most would think. Jedi currently has a LOT of downsides and little more power/ability than the average template for the large amount of effort required to finish one.
If you EVER want to stir up a rage for something in a MMO, tell someone thatthere is a small chance that they can own a character that is 30 times more powerful than 99.999999% of the other players you are surounded by. (That is what they were a long time ago.) Yes, it will make most players in an MMO work toward the "Alpha class", but I doubt that jedi was ever 30 times as strong. I've heard pre-9 jedi state that they were maybe five times as strong though.
THAT is the interest in the Jedi class, and it extends little beyond that as well. Not actually. There are STILL a lot of people grinding to open a jedi even after all of the reductions in powers/abilities. It's not "Little beyond that" in interest. A lot of people who saw the original trilogy have wanted a chance to RP a jedi for a long time.
word... the jedi u dont c the the ones that RP.... cuz RPin is fun
