There is nothing broken with Vis, its working as intended....


There is plenty of game out there for those that dont want to PvP...but remember that Jedi has been and will remain a "PvP enabled" character. Don't want PvP, there are ways to avoid it, you could play something other than Jedi...or play a game that has no PvP in it. I'm not trying to tell you to quit...or to stop playing jedi...only realize that you chose to play a profession that PvP is a part of...and should remain that way. Just because you dont like that fact doesn't mean we should change the entire profession to be like everyone else. Once you do that, Jedi truly will be nerfed down to the same level as everyone else...and it truly will be worthless








But it's intention is not working with the CU.


The whole asking about being abel to group is forst it makes sense and second with ethe CU grouping is the only way you can get good xp so you need to atm and that means visibility to the paddy starting out

  • Increase damage on Force Choke and/or allow it to bypass armor damage reduction

Increase damage AND force cost, so that M.Powers wont be able to spam Choke, like its the only ability they have.




  • Inform in combat window of gained Force from ForceAbsorb from/and ForceDrain?

  • Fix Group Icon for Master Enhancer?

  • ForceAbsorb/ForceFeedback should overthrow in gaining more then losing from Drain or Choke?... so IF jedi activates Absorb, Draining him wont be quiet tactical at this moment?

Great list Song! I wouldn't mind seeing something about force drain issues being in there too though.

I know a lot of people are screaming for grouping with no vis but im really against this, there is to much room for griefing /leave group even if its an acident it will happen, I also like to grind alone sometimes.


So if they do get rid of group vis then fine thats good and people can have fun, but for me and many many others that like to fight solo please push for a way to gain the same xp fighting on my own.

You can spam choke with drain as I mentioned in other post.


ForceChoke should be feared by damage you take as it applies and damage you take from DOT-tick.

Not by multiple applies choke <hit> choke <hit>choke

so you're saying we shouldn't be able to reapply it once it's done? good lord, it doesn't even hurt that bad. it's completely negated by infusion.


should MLS not be able to use saberthrow more than once every 30 seconds? or not be able to use improved power hit more than once a minute? I swear, some people don't even think. the damage choke does is done over like 25 seconds. even if it ticks once every 5 seconds for 500 points, that's a whopping 100 DPS. you're whining about a move that does 100 DPS. Seriously. *


spam choke and drain? who cares. if you can't kill a guy whose main skill is to drain in the time it takes him to empty your force pool, you deserved to die. either pick up drain and spam it back, or leave. maybe you people didn't notice, but this whole combat revamp started placing people into ROLES. You shouldn't be indestructible by yourself. In a good group, sure. With everyone watching everyone's back, and playing intelligently, it should be hard to take you out. someone drained you? pop a pixie and channel a couple times. ask a group member to transfer some force. get the rest of your group to killhim. get a master enhancer to stasis him so he CAN'T root.


if you guys can't think of solutions to these problems, you're in for a long, long, period of time where you will learn to hate this game because you'll die all the time. you'll be beaten by a 1/2 templated padawan who knows how to play and how to think critically.



*note: these numbers are completely made up, but probably pretty close to right. If anything, they're probably on the high side.

The powers stuff is great, as I for one am PRAYING that this gets looked at BEFORE respec ends. I would love to play master powers, role play, etc, but as it stands now, and with the fear of it never being addressed, its just not a fun way to go, ATM. (IMO)



What I would like to know is what kinds of feedback are you getting from the developers about FORCE POWERS in general? Do they see it has major issues and needs to be looked at, is it on the back burner, where is their focus with the Jedi right now. If you tell me they know its a major issue and are working on it, thats great, and maybe Ill take MPowers before respec ends whether its fixed or not, hopeing your right.


People are trying to get a "feel" as to where the developers for Jedi stand, it would be nice to see one of them answer some questions or posts in here once in a while like I see in other professions etc.

If only this was true in ALL cases. Then those BH's would have a problem against a new padawan....as it is...IT ISN'T TRUE.

Dw-Acer,

My point was, to make force choke more powerful attack then spamming attack. You seem to miss "increase damage" part.


...with the right foods and hybrid template choke and drain is best in pvp right now.

there is ways around it however... wich would have to include drain (again) in btwn...


While drain is calming down you use other ability of you choise, now the drain is ready again.... and so on.


I would say to increase cooldown timers for all flashy abilities, such as drain,channel,choke,root,strasis...etc.

So Jedi would be able to use same ability after about 3 4 turns? not every other turn.

If i could find the quote from test center 1 i would post it, but basically the same fix for force throw i called for then, is still needed now. If your a powers jedi your considered ranged, evenmore now that you can get the ranged acc/speed bonus from the general skill's. As every ranged person knows one of the most important things in a ranged fight is blind. The fact that there is now no move that does blind(force lightining cone 2 used too once and a blue moon) in force powers. Since they are a ranged fighter and will be receiving mostly ranged damage to not give them blind is just wrong. Which of course brings me back to Force Throw, lets take the animation for example it throws dirt, rocks and pebbles at your opponent.

So lets see dirt in the eyes Stuns? not blinds? are you serious?is it possible that this is still being asked for even though it should have been given even when we were perma death?



Simple questions. The first being the only important one, and of course the only truly logical one. The fact that mindblast does stun should automaticallynegate force throw doing stun. Why have two moves with the same damage and same effect? Yet another logical question that has been asked since we were perma death. Funny now that its still needed and still not done.



Simple Fix:


Keep damage the same on both Force Throw and Mind Blast, but make mindblast stun and throw blind. The fact that they do the effect i mentioned is most obvious choice. Mind Blast attacks the mind which in turn effects your senses, hence a stunned/dizzy state. Where as dirt in the eye of course blinds. Simple Solutions for "Jedi Beta 3".
