Here's the way i've always thought of it.

innate armor is something within you. We'll refer to it as something intangible.

a tangible object should not break something that is intangible.

force armor to me is something around you. Your focusing the force into a physical manifestation.
It is tangible, therefore is should be broken by something tangible.

for balance reasons, in my opinion there should be 2 versions of armor break.

armor break and force weaken.

armor break would be able to be used against force armor and regular armor.
force weaken would not be able to affect this type of armor.

force weaken would work on innate armor and force defenses.
armor break would not be able to affect this type of armor.

As far as this subject goes, if i say "give Jedi this" then I also think the same thing should be given to TKMs since they have the same issue. I think innate 75% AB resistance for both profs is the way to go.

Unfortunately, even Jedi need to actually work at their profession to win fights. Yes, even against non-jedi. It's a crying shame, i know, but that's how it is.

Not only did you scream about the game being unbalanced, but you're a jedi and you mentioned Mind Fire.

I'm glad my computer has dampeners for this kind of thing, or it would not have made it.

Mind fires were a pushover for me pre CURB, master healer for the win. The trash we get now is silly.

Agreed. Armor break should only affect actual the impact of armor reductions, not damage avoided through skill. No armor = armor break having a null effect.

That would apply to jedi and TKM, as well as any BH that come after us in hawtpants and a chef's hat.

I agree...A TKM or a Jedi should not be able to be AB at all..It is innate armor. It should not be able to be broken. FA or regular armor should not be worthless once you are AB. What is the point of even having it if it is gone in 1 hit.

Theres a tradeoff for not bieng able to AB slice. Jedi and tkm never have to buy an insane amount of ADK's to get armor we never have to pay for a new set. Ide say thats a fair tradeoff.

I am not a noob. I am SidRoc's alt. SidRoc is now owned by another player.

You know, I knew that argument would come up, and it is a good one, but there is a difference to consider.

TKM/Jedi doesn't need to buy armor. As a downside, they cannot prevent armor break. Fair enough.

BUT

TKM has the option of picking up another combat profession with armor certs and can then wear that armor which is then AB sliced and still use its full abilities.

Jedi can not. Jedi cannot wear any armor, period, which means that even if the Jedi wanted to buy ADKs and Armor, (s)he can't, whereas the TKM can.

That is the major difference which nullifies your the "you dont buy armor" argument. If you really wish to continue down that road, then the only logical option (other than an innate AB reduction) would be to give Jedi armor certifications and remove the armor penalty.
