You pretty much lost me when your topic implies that there is a rule for how much I play the character that I have spent 2.5 years developing.

Prior to Pub 9 when you started over with a new Character you might have had a point but every single thing that I am is based on this character. I will play it whenever I feel like. If SOE makes it unpleasent for me to play it I will quit the game and do something else.

Some people liked the adrenalin rush of the old system. It was nail biting.

Some people hated it.

I guess is what your definition of fun comes down to. If it's just "having" the Jedi toon, regardless of it effitiveness, then there are a lot of people who probably agree.

And this is exactly WHY they dumbedJedi down (and the whole game for that matter, once it started to obviously revolve around Jedi, and not the GCW asit was supposed to be lol), nerfed the skills, and took away high end Pearl drops.

Becuase if all the Jedi today, had as much power as the Pre- 9 Jedi (or even the post-9, Pre-CU, which really easn't bad at all either, especially in compariosn to the current state)system gave them, ANDalso had all the no PvE xp loss, and no Saber TEF, and no non-ADK'd sabers that wore out faster than an old condom, and were a pain to rebuild, there would be total chaos, on every server.

Don't belive the naysayers, Jedi kicked butt back then.

Now everyone has thier Jedi, and is happy, so is SOE raking in the money, but it's just too bad that the Devs couldn't have set the bar a little higher, then maybe they'd have been a little nicer to the Jedi professiona as a whole.

As it is, it's been a real love/hate relationship between the Devs, and the Jedi class, it's like a Pandora's box I bet they wished they never opened at this point.

Anyway, it's all good, now Jedi are accesible to many more players, and some of can still remember with fondess what is was once like as well, without malise.

i log my jedi in once a week , maybe once every 2 weeks so the feeling of BBUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZ is well worth hearing when im alone , im mostly on my alt doing as some jedi are calling it "non-jedi content" , plus all jedi are getting boared because they have no FRS or jedi only quests (boo hoo) , i think some of you should try it , log your jedi in once a week and you will feel better , thats my own play style anyways

the bigger point is....we all pay our own 15 bucks/month so what you think does not matter to me. my playing habits and playstyle have a direct effect on how much i enjoy this game, yours have no effect on my gameplay.

I am a SOE customer. Now, if they would only treat me like one...
i used to be 4 accts out of 450k active accts
then 2 accts out of 250k
then 1 out of 200k
now 0 of 175k as of dec 25th....
i am a soe shareholder and do know how many active accts there are.

If youre not supposed to play your jedi all the time then why would they allow your free same server alt to grind to jedi too if you wish. If both toons are jedi and assuming you dont have other accounts then what. Now that you have 2 jedi you shouldnt play at all right?

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

Is this another pre-pub 9 Jedi knew how to do it right and now all you other people are noobs even though you have been playing since launch too posts?

I'm so sick of these. No one cares if you were a pre-pub 9 Jedi, how you played back then, or the risks you had. The only people that care are yourselves, and you think you are somewhat special. (This doesn't go for all pre-pub 9 Jedi, because I have actually met some nice ones ((hard to believe, I know))). Just face up to the facts that this is a different game now. If someone wants to put on the Jedi Robe and master Dancer and dance all day that is their choice. If they want to sit in Theed and PvP all day that is their choice. If you feel that after unlocking Jedi which takes about 1 zillion and 1 Bols/Gurks/Pikets/etc, you want to just play it for 1 hour a day then so be it. But please don't try and push your views on us. We don't care. We really don't.

I won't be one of those people that is like /worship because you are pre-pub 9 or whatever. Be it hologrinding or Village, we all unlocked and we can do what we want.

I'm not saying I respect those Jedi that make themselves stick out like a sore thumb, but if thats what they want to do, how can you tell them they are wrong?

youd better believe id drive my Ferrari to work every day. I know plenty people that drive their most extravegent car most of the time to show it off. Any body that owns a Ferrari will tell you that they are going to drive it and not some crappy honda to work.

[Yes, I think we were special. The class itself was very fun and very special prior to publish 9, and that's something we can only share amongst ourselves. It's obvious you do realize this on some level, or your above words wouldn't be quite so bitter. I mean, if no one cares, why bother saying you don't with such vehemence? The problem is you're laying the blame with pre-publish 9 jedi when it rightfully should be directed at the devs who decided to nerf the crap out of the profession. End result, we all lose.]

(This doesn't go for all pre-pub 9 Jedi, because I have actually met some nice ones ((hard to believe, I know))).

[Y'know, I could say the same thing. I've actually met some very nice post-publish 9 jedi among the rabble once the floodgates were opened. Now, I think you'll like that statement as much as I like yours. Don't generalize because there are a few very loud asshats in both populations.]

Just face up to the facts that this is a different game now. If someone wants to put on the Jedi Robe and master Dancer and dance all day that is their choice. [A little respect for your fellow players would be nice. I know I respect those players that unlocked before me and were good enough to share what they had learned so I didn't make their mistakes and levelled efficiently from the start.

Everyone ultimately does what they want. Those who are wise realize there will always be consequences for their actions. In this case, those consequences will impact the entire profession that all of us put effort into obtaining. That's just childish, selfish and inconsiderate.]

I'm not saying I respect those Jedi that make themselves stick out like a sore thumb, but if thats what they want to do, how can you tell them they are wrong?

[Easy, because it's their being in everyone's face all the time that's getting jedi nerfed harder and harder. How do you like the fact that your killing of "1 zillion and one Bols/Gurks/Pikets/efc" unlocked you a character that's no better than any other full template and worse than some combinations?" You must not mind, then, eh?]

Oh btw, would you care for some cheese for all that whining?
