This is pretty much a fact of life. Initial sells are always the main payout. I bet you all those folks who dropped 20K for the Uber HD Flatscreen TV's that are now easily 1/4 that price hate themselves too. I got my Video card for $70, when it first came out it was $300. The reward of getting first and staying on the cutting edge is more costly than than patience.
aye, true was just being synical!

It doesn't matter that SOE has more money than a single player.
All we need is a group of lawyers that bring a class action lawsuit. Multiply the number of players X 15$/month X months X expansions purchased and wave that a lawyer who will take the case for 33% of the settlement. Sony has been sued for lots of money in the past. The last one I remember was for screwing people over on the cost of CDs.
Oh, and that crappy user agreement doesn't mean anything. You can sue people whenever you want and drag them to court. It could figure into the final decision somehow, but the key is to make it painful for SOE to take it that far and make them settle out of court. Wouldn't it be funny if in arbitration we just asked SOE to forget about the NGE?
I'm not a lawyer and I'm sure that there is more to it, but not that much more. All you need is a lawyer that sees the cash potential
BEST EMAIL I HAVE RECEIVED IN A LONG, LONG TIME!
Due to a credit card billing failure we are unable to complete the pre-order you placed on October 24, 2005, for the Star Wars Galaxies(TM): Trials of Obi-Wan(TM) - Digital Download. As a result, your account has been re-flagged for a period of one week so that you may still enjoy Star Wars Galaxies(TM): Trials of Obi-Wan(TM) - Digital Download content while we resolve the error. You may resubmit your correct billing information at the Station Store (https://store.station.sony.com). Once the error is resolved, the temporary flag for Star Wars Galaxies(TM): Trials of Obi-Wan(TM) - Digital Download will be reset with the proper status.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'LL GET RIGHT ON FIXING THIS SOE
FYI: The entered address was my old one, I thought my card still had that listed. Thank God.

Of course, because it was easier than actually fixing the bug with the tutorial. heh.
Apparently there are two class action suits filed, one in New York, the other in California alleging computer fraud, common law fraud and violations of the computer spyware act

Fact:
dispite your dissatisfaction of the game you continually clicked the "I agree" button everytime you played SWG.
Fact:
By pressing that button you were satisfied with your experience in that time....otherwise you would have quit pressing that "I agree" button long ago.
I doubt you'd win because basically you are saying "I hated what they were doing BUT I decided to play it and have fun anyway."
Plus, this NGE was pushed by LA as the starter and not SOE. SOE has to do what the people with the copyright TELL them to do. copyright=iron chain.
Before you start gettin all litigious, I'd recommend submitting a simple refund request. If its not granted, enlist the aid of your credit card company.
In my case, I bought my ToOW with my Platinum Sony VISA card. If I don't get some customer sassifaction, poo is gonna hit the fan on that one.
