Thread: A reminder to the Jedi community that might be some good news...

As padawans however, it makes sense for experienced bounty hunters to be able to take us down. Just think how powerful we will be in the new FRS. Who knows they might add in more combat level, more melee/ranged defense, or less downtime for heals. All I know is, FRS should be the #1 priority for our correspondent should be pushing for.

You sir, are just what this forum needed. A breath of fresh air, a breath of hope. I decided not to read much further past your opening post since it's probably full of flames, tbh. I just wanted to state that I concur with your idea and that it makes a pretty good point when you look at from a purely simple angle. Everyone assumes that a 'padawan' would naturally be a much more powerful and a battle hardened BH.
Anyway, I think another thing people may forget is that being 1.5x as powerful as any other profession probably only means ONE profession. Us jedi are 1.5x more powerfull than MBH, not MBH/CM, MBH/MRifles, MBH/MCarbs, etc. That instantly explains why we are made to be so weak vs them. it's like 1.5 vs 2 or 1.5 vs 2.5 (depending on temp).
It sounds like the devs are literally rebuilding the FRS from the ground up and unfortunately for those that became knights/masters pre-cu, they got the supreme shaft. I only hope that once this new FRS is completed and out to Live, all those that had their pre-cu titles and skills will recieve the equivalent in the new FRS. I bet the Knightswill be 1.5x more powerfull than those combo temps, and Defenders/Master even more so, but who knows...

This is what I think about it as well. Padawan (i.e. - Learner, Student, Apprentice) does not a master make. Even at 224 SP invested, you are merely but a learner, ready to test. You are not all powerful at this level, and certainly not powerful enough to take on a Master Bounty Hunter. I am not saying that Jedi should be weak. But the difference is that as a padawan, you are not a master. You are still learning your skill, per say. A BH would be, and should be, a tough tough fight.
This, in combination with Obi Wan, leads me to believe that the FRS is right around the corner, and the devs are merely getting the basket ready for the FRS. I see theKnight Trials closely related to the ghost of Obi Wan at some point in the near future.

uhm... you don't know that. Not everything works on your timetable. The devs do not, and are not obligated to, have to disclose anything. The new FRS system will come out, and most likely, it wont even be called the FRS. Hell, you guys probably won't even recognize it is the new FRS.

I really hope this isn't the way it's going to be, saythis guydidn't want to enter the FRS because he didn't want to be light or dark jedi. Then he's screwed over as far as his ability to fight vs. the decision he makes goes.
