...no matter what the title says, every single Jedi out there has the Jedi rank of: Padawan. If not, initiate.

What does this tell us? It tells us that we're not even half-way through the road to a true Jedi. It means that maybe we're getting hit with all these nerfs is to insure that Padawans are up to par with any other combat profession.

Do you think for a second that developers would allow a Jedi Master in the new FRS could be beaten by 1 bounty hunter? No way, that would be complete bs. As padawans however, it makes sense for experienced bounty hunters to be able to take us down. Just think how powerful we will be in the new FRS. Who knows they might add in more combat level, more melee/ranged defense, or less downtime for heals. All I know is, FRS should be the #1 priority for our correspondent should be pushing for.

Just my thoughts...

Um actully no... Some of us were higher then paused in the middle of the climb...

As for the FRS for you new guys... I hope to Hell is at least some time based quests.. all these new people wanting a FRS and thinking and actully HOPING that it will make you as strong as you think.

My advice being from the FRS old system is do not put all those eggs in that basket man. I just want t system that works.. having the old and being part of it for a long time tells me this as well.

I know you guys never had it so its hard to explain but learn your skills young paddy... your gonna need 'em.

it better not be 100% pvp bases either....otherwise a lot of us pre-cu jedi will find our selves nerf'd when the newer breed cannot advance

I agree that we need FRS in here, but i disagree that padawans should be on par with other combat professions. if you look at the makeup of just a basic BH, it is made up of 2columns of starter professions, exploration fromscout and ranged support from marksman. a jedi padawan is made up of 6 columns of force sensitive. the xp comparison to gain those boxes should also be the clue that the experience of a jedi padawan is several times that of a bounty hunter, even if they have another elite profession. If you look to Ep3, there is a scene when Senator Organa is threatened by some clone troopers (cloned from argueably the best BH in the universe) and a jedi youngling is there and manages to take out several of these elite soldiers before going down under the onslaught of several more. Granted, these elite troopers may have been cloned from Jango, but they did not have his experience or the equipment for taking down a bounty of the level of a jedi, but they did have the training, superior firepower, and numbers, yetthe youngling still managed to hold his own against them for a period of time.

All im saying is that jedi should be at least as powerful as has been said before, 1.5 times more powerful than other professions. I havent seen that in the game at all. I enjoy playing my jedi, but i NEVER pvp, and pretty much always run or hide from BH, not because its what im supposed to do timeline-wise, but because i have very little chance of defeating a bounty hunter right now as it is.

well. i hope its not quest based or well have masteres every where. NO on quest based. if its pvp, well, a death should be back to permadeath. loss of skill box.

And i guess ill be one of the few post cu jedi that will be fighting the pre cu without fear.

Why?

Because i learn from them.

who knows what goes on between lucasarts and soe behind closed doors. Its to the point now that i beleive that they are intentionally not ok'ing the frs till jedi thin out. when the jedi get to lower numbers then the frs will miracously be approved. then its time for lawsuits.

I agree a quest-based system to master would be a disaster - unless the quests are very hard and upon death you lose the Master title and have to go through all the quests again to get it back.

Skill-loss upon death is also a good one.

Prema-death is a no-no. You can't have people working up a toon for 2 years then kill it off permanently. That's just sadistic.

I agree that the FRS is going to help. But here are a few problems:

1) Once the FRS kicks in, they are going to retweak the padawan to make them even weaker once people scream that knights are too strong...

2) If the FRS is another fight club enhancer, then the only ones powered up will be the better exploiters...

3) If it is a more sensible path with quests (like the Padawan trials) then there will be so many knights that padawan will be even more nerfed, making the grind even worse...

My point? It is one giant mess. They need to stop nerfing us, come up with a plan, then execute it all at once.

BTW...I like the part I highlighted in red the best.

Instead of redoing the trials, though, I would just block their skills for a period of time until they "recover."

I couldn't agree more. this is the last thing i would want to happen. I would like to see more quest/PvE intergrated into the way you advance, maybe even have it meshed with PvP activities, jut not totaly limitied to it. theres no question that some of thestronger jedi now are going to be some of the most powerful ones when the FRS does break out, theres no getting around that. but with there being so many jedi on our servers its almost impossible to see how SOE can make jedi as powerful as hey should be, while keeping everything balanced at the same time. Its already evidient that the life of Jedis are going to get extreamly difficult and will contiue in that direction until the population and visability dwindles to satisfactory levels. I don't expect to see much of an FRS till that actually occurs first.

who knows
